I Remeber this show from years ago, when i was a teenager.. one episode really sticks in my mind.. the one with Elc and his childhood friend, such a sad sad episode.. Great show though.

That’s not true, many events from the anime were actually taken directly from the videogame. The anime it’s mostly based on Arc The Lad 2. Heck! The anime it’s basically Arc The Lad 2 but with some huge changes.
I agree! The anime was crap, but as for me… I loved it! 😍 The ONLY reason that I loved it was because of the knight in shining armor and his damsel in distress concept. Lieza is the PERFECT damsel in distress! 🥰
twilight of spirits got me into the anime, the anime got me thinking about the other games, so i bought end of darkness and discovered that instead of a bang, arc the lad went out with a wimpering fail. guess i gotta go back to either hunt for a game disc on amazon or find an emulator custom tailored to run the isos i get on my computer in a decent framerate.. hoping against hell that it was just ff8 and it's advanced graphics or a minor error that made it lag on my epsxe and psx emulators.
The thing that got me into this was when I first bought arc the twilight of the spirits for PS2 and i felt that there where to many past mentions beat the game and loved it then I found out end of darkness came out and got really dissapoineted then I found out that there was Arc 1 2 and 3 and it a while to get them and finally found later on there was an anime loved the anime but the ending was a happy one and the game was more of a traggic ending but I feel like the game ending was better more dark more brutal and it opened to make arc 3 and years later 2018 they make Arc The Lad R for mobile have it on phone but I haven't played it yet

Is the story of the anime exactly the same as the game? I'm asking this 'cause I barely remember the plot from Arc the Lad II and I was thinking about watching this series to remember.
It’s not exactly the same as the videogame. The evil guy with the glasses was never in the videogame, some villains from the videogame survived in this anime, and there were two particular good guys that didn’t died in the anime. 🤷🏻
