Very interesting video, i'm a full time eBay lego reseller working out of Czech republic and have really noticed the difference in demand in Lego sets from European market to the US and UK. Most reseller YTubers are from US and UK and i used to get burnt in investing in sets popular in US because they are the videos that are most popular in YT. You are correct in saying know your market and your margins.

As a European i am noticing just that as I am starting to look more closely on starting investing. Any TH-camrs or other tips on getting more educated as a resellers newbie?

Thanks for the great video! Would love more videos focusing on non-US investing context. Maybe interviews etc with people from other markets, as you have done in the past.

The huge sales or price discounts that you get in the US at Walmart, CostCo or Target and rather seldom at our retailers on my home market in Germany. So I do already calculate with way lower margins than you do. In the end, I have to do my maths for my market as you have for yours.
Core factor is to know your market and know your customers. But having a side glance at other markets is always good for a broader perspective. And that is why I watch your channel. Especially since I enjoy your expertise. 🙂

Knowing your domestic market is vital. For example here in Australia (or at least my state) large retailers stop carrying sets well before retirement date. 75352 Emperor's Throne Room is a great example. It's seemingly only been available on the Lego website at full price for at least the last 2 months. I don't expect major retailers to restock this either. Same goes with other popular sets such as the A Frame Cabin. Hold times and risk of delayed retirement (and more hoarding) become a bigger issue.

I was hoping you would release something like this. It really depends where you are doesn’t it? I mean living in New Zealand with a total population of 5 million isn’t the same as living in the US with a population of over 300 million. You can still make money but it’s much harder imo.
Geographical location also plays a part. People can get put off if you’re targeting International buyers but you’re having to charge the sweet earth in postage.
