In my head, I am a bit confused about priority order. Can you tell me in terms of X>Y>Z format, most priority to least priority for counting numbers. Halides, Alcohol, Substituents, Pi bond, etc. Thanks

For Thiols and Alcohols do you put the location of the functional group?
Yes, unless it's an understood #1 such as the only sub on a ring, or a short chain like ethyl
Which has a higher priority? alcohols or thiols? are they considered to always have the highest priorities when placed in a molecule that consists of a double/triple bond? -Thank you in advance!

is cyclohexane-1-thiol the same with cyclohexanethiol? can I combine the 2 names if n is 1? or I still have to specify where it is bonded?
yes, cyclohexane-1-thiol is the same with cyclohexanethiol
cyclohexane-1-thiol has an extra '1'. Given that the substituent is automatically on C1, you don't have to include the number in the name because it is self understood. If you have other substituents on the ring such that nothing is implied, then you must include all the numbers
