Melissa, I started organic chem last week. I received a B in inorganic chem a few weeks ago and was so happy. Then I got in this class and I came home a ball of anxiety. I didn't feel like I understood it at all, and my professor is not the "step by step" kind of teacher. Which my last chem professor was. And he would write clear notes during lectures via a PowerPoint. Again, not this professor. I felt ok as I was going to reach out to my favorite tutor with whom I have been working almost daily for a solid semester. Well to my surprise, I received an auto-reply to my email to the tune of " Shayna is no longer with us." I wanted to die! So after procrastinating out of a fear of failure, because I am so lost, I found your videos tonight. You SAVED MY LIFE AND MY MIND! I am so happy I found you. I am on my 4th video tomorrow about putting together the structures I am asked for (Alkanes) and I have a quiz on it tomorrow morning. I not only feel so much better, I feel ready. Thank you for your attention to detail and your clear love for understanding. You are an angel!
The only one I didn't work out before getting the answer was the last one as I forgot to put a second 2 before the dimethyl. 😅 Amazing video! This was so helpful in my review of nomenclature, so bless your channel and your explanation skills! I think I HAVE to subscribe now!
hey i hopped into the comments with a question about this, why is there two "2"s for the last one? is it not repetetive since the di in di-methyl implies both methyl are already on the 2nd carbon. am i wrong in this thougth process?
