The simplest EQ in the Helix may be one of the best, its certainly one of my favorites. The Tilt EQ gives you a simple bright and dark slider and lets you choose the center point of the tilt. It's super useful after the or before the amp/cab.
I figured this trick out myself the other day and it is a total game changer! I like my clean sound brighter and my drive sounds darker, super easy and effective.
That is some beautiful playing!!! And a very helpful video. Thank you very much!
Thanks for the great reminder HW! I was trying to brighten and darken a few preset recently and went down a rabbit hole. This is a much easier fix. There are so many great tools in the Helix toolbox and sometimes I don't remember all of them. This was super-helpful. Great stuff!
Excellent Helix hack!!!
That sneaky guitar switch from the intro playing clip to when you start speaking
As always thanks for sharing you knowledge
You tha man!
Fantastic player wow
I don't play Fender models really, but this sounds every bit as good as the Ruby so far as I've heard
Great Trick man.
Do you have some pod go videos in the Pipeline? 😇
my FOH has me reduce my overall signal by -9.5DB, trying to see what the recommendation would be to set your presets levels down. Do on the output block? or the channel volume of the amp? ...btw picked up your guys patches and noticed the tilt EQ and use all the time now :) easy to use for different guitars
I’m in tone hell. Got my helix last year and loved it. I moved a few months back and now all my music stuff is in this 24’x24’ mostly empty bar room with a wood floor. I can’t do studio foam in my entertainment room lol. I literally can’t play my helix anymore every single thing every guitar every patch just sounds absolutely terrible in this room. I been busy but now I’ve got some time and I’m trying to figure out if this is something I can fix with global eq ? Or some way I don’t know ? Or do I have to go patch by patch and just fine tune hundreds of patches ? Or do I have to literally find some other place to play ?
And yes I’ve already tried to tweak patches but I’ve yet to get even close to sounding decent on 99.9% of them.
@@SticksAandstonesBozoif your tones sound fine elsewhere through the same speakers, global eq is your friend.
Do you sell this preset? If so where can I get it?
Follow the link in the description, then scroll down h tik you find the pack “ODS 183 Helix HX Pack”
It’s from there.
Hmm… can’t seem to find it!? Is from the “DMBL BUNDLE HELIX HX”?
Those unapolagetic guitar faces 😆
How is this a trick? It's just an eq.
Yeah, it should be labeled as a EQ Tip.
