How To Make A CNC Flag with Logo
ฝัง

- This is my take on how to create and cut a US Flag on a CNC that includes a logo. I walk through the milling, glue-up, sanding and everything else to make a good large flag. Then I walk you through using Vectric VCarve Pro to set up all the cut files for the CNC. The video shows the entire CNC milling process with some tips and tricks and then moves on to cutting Keyhole slots for hanging and a CO2 lasered message on the back. Hope you find this woodworking/CNC/painting/computers/lasering video helpful!

Great video I really like you instructional style.
Thank you! A big part of my old life was teaching Grunts, Infantry, Paratroopers, etc. the skills they needed to survive. Breaking things down really helps especially if you’re speaking different languages!
Vcarve pro has a key hole gadget I believe. Great detailed video
Didn’t know that! I have been doing it this way for years, have to check it out!
Thanks for the drywall sander suggestion
You bet, glad to help!
Your close to San Antonio. I'm close to Killeen, TX. Nice video and explaining everything along the way. I'm new to this stuff and want to try this. Thanks for the video.
You are very welcome! The best thing to do is just do it, there will be failures but that is just learning. 💜
Good job! We will be talking about your video on my show this weekend
That's awesome, thank you. Let me know when so I can watch it!

You got a big boy jointer. Not ready for one myself but looking forward to the day.
Yeah, some tools are a huge investment but when you get down to efficiency in business they pay for themselves. Hobby, maybe not, but running 1,000 rails and stiles definitely makes it worth it.
Cool
Thank you!
Almost forgot what I was going to ask, oh yeah, what do you use to run your gcode? The masso or the buildbotics thing? possibly a third option? Nice work on the flag, keep up the good work. Agree with you on the hill country being the best.
I use GRBL, it is simple and gcode in my humble option should be simple. Your second question, I am not sure exactly how to answer, my controller is basically a Raspberry Pi that I upload via thumb drive (I could use WiFi but don't trust it with CNC) and a monitor. The Onefinity Masso controller is a newer thing than what I have and although I will be upgrading, it hasn't happened yet!
@@hillcountryCNC That answered my question. I went another route with Mach4/laptop and had a question but I'll figure it out. Thanks for the reply. Look forward to more on your channel.
What Cnc software do you use?
Simple answer is Vectric VCarve Pro. I really find it to be the best on the market (and I actually have tried quite a few) but I also use Vectric Aspire and Fusion 360. Only VCarve Pro was needed for this project.
I've started with 3D Carbide's software but after using it for a month and Vectric coming out with version 12, I'm going with Vectric soon.
