Some guys did the math and Electro + Burn disorders work the best because they have higher attack scaling and when you proc disorder it consumes all damage ticks left. Mihoyo is well aware of this and according to the math of dev server guys one rotation of Yanagi + Burnice deals more damage than what Jane + Burnice deals thanks to Yanagi's kit being more oriented at increasing Disorder burst.

Some people said "Afterburn can Crit" And I think Yeah, I can see an afterburn dmg of 16k then all of a sudden it become doubled 30k+ then the disorder dmg.
I'm playing my games in casual way and top-up monthly and BP.
I only pull Characters, and I don't pull for W-Engines or Weapons like I did on GI and HSR to challenge myself from BP or F2P Weapons.
I already cleared the Shiyu Defense Crit Nodes on 7/7 All S using my A-rank W-Engine Jane Team and A-rank W-Engine Burnice Team.
Jane Team - Nicole, Jane n Seth - Police Bangboo
Burnice Team - Burnice, Piper n Lucy - The SoC Bangboo. I place Piper after Burnice bcoz when I used Ulti on Burnice, Piper can Perfect Assist and I can trigger 2 Disorder of Burn and Shock in that 4 seconds of Burnice Ulti using Piper Ex-skill.
I don't play seriously and I manage to S all nodes 7/7 without change party members, or swap. finishing 7th node with Burnice Team doing 2:00 mins surpassing my Jane Team of 2:29mins. Well the 1st part don't have Physical Weakness, so Its fair game, If i use Jane on 2nd part which has Fire and Physical weakness It will be over in a minute.
IF Burnice's Afterburn can really Crit, It is a godly skill. u dont need AP on the Afterburn dmg. U only need the Fix 300AP and the more ATK you have plus the CV, its can do 100k per afterburn if oyu have "50/200 CV - 3000 ATK - 300AP" The dmg of afterburn is Base on ATK and CV. but you need 300AP to get the additional 30% dmg. 1% is to 10 AP = 300AP
yanagi will be the perfect pair for burnice solely because yanagi is also a disorder-focused agent (iirc her kit makes her trigger disorder with a 600% multipier and basing from her leaked gameplay, she's an on field anomaly)
Theres been some changes to make her less reliant on other anomaly typings but they still go together like fish and chips

The first content creator that shows the value of the single-flame thrower 👍 What I figured out in the training: The double flame blast or flame blast itself is the most energy efficient way to get fuel and build up anomaly. Nobody mentioned that. In practical we can use the blast, whenever we are about to swap or parry to another agent.

Until disorder will be able to crit it doesn't matter how big disorder number you will get. It will just "consume" all ticks and allow you to apply anomalies again

yanagi is capable of trigger disorder on mono electric when she retriggers the anomaly with a 400% dmg increase from*normal* disorder so its insanely good to trigger anomaly fast with her and burnice
You should have named this vid more like "How to optimize Burnice's dps" or smth because losing 10-20% of damage is not worth overthinking all of this imop :/
It's gonna be a significant DPS drop of once she's teamed with Yanagi, because again, after burn + double flame thrower rotation doesn't build fire fast enough. And likely in 3-4 rotations, a double proc of the other anomaly will happen.
@@escadora2206 losing 10-20% damage is significant, especially on the Shiyu Defense. Imagine being late for 1-2 seconds because of not enough damage.
Unless you don't even care about the endgame content then this video is not for you.

@@FDReiter Im not yet really optimizing anything tbh, i try to lvl up my characters and their skills and barely farm discs due to it beeing rng (not guaranteed progress). I also feel like many of the aspects also refer to burnice beeing played with yanagi, but i don't plan on getting yanagi so I'm probably not the target audience.
It's significant and its a good point that's rarely talked about. It's about the rotations. 20% is also huge wth are you on OP?
as a low spender, I'm confident enough that I'll get Burnice, Yanagi, and Miyabi (just the characters, not sure about W-engine)
W-engine are never needed. Even if the signiture's power is significantantly on release, some kind of event W-Engine will catch up eventually.

@@FDReiter You have Jane and her sig, went for Ceasar and missed. And now broke assuming you mean 0 currency. And you're optimistic about a character when they release. Assuming the worst luck you're gonna need around 60-75k currency, with half of that if you win all 50%'s. Doesn't seem too out of reality to get that much currency within the next 3-4 patches, so yeah nice.

Also, that monthly membership saved me from a "completely broke" state and I ended up getting Zhu Yuan because of losing 50/50 on Ellen, and I got Jane because of losing 50/50 on Qingyi so don't worry
Limited W-engine is meant to break time records like 40s or less e.g. with Zhu Yuan's signature in Shiyu Defence. Lucky there is no such rewards yet in any event or in game achievement, otherwise people who are completionism will get those limited w-engine

Crit S11, anomaly Burnice, and Piper are currently making quick work of things.
Oh and also with Butler Bangboo, that means I can build up anomalies faster and trigger disorders more frequently.
a bit out of topic, the patters continues to lighter being a fire stunner that can also buff ice dmg. his synergy also activates when there's attacker in your team, not the same attribute as him. assuming miyabi would be after lighter, they really want to pair lighter with miyabi
I think the issue with Zenless's team being 3 character instead of 4 is starting to show. The "meta" teams are starting to feel unflexable :/

Indeed, this probably is gonna work even if she’s an anomaly ice agent, because shatter is pretty much like assaults you are gonna be able to play here as a mono ice carry as well, rip Ellen.

nah this video is so cap, many testings where done on her and everything weights in favor of playing her off field, you saying she's a quick swapper it's just bad, she was litteraly made to be an off field pg, from kit to wengine to disks. You can play her on field by playing her as an hyper carry going crit but the playstyle you suggest here it's just plain useless, you lose on everything, more so because you take time away from jane wich wants 95% field time and yanagi from what we know we'll be similar to an electric jane so she too wants on field time. Also if you use pgs like seth who can boost anomaly build up burnice can proc burn with 1 rotation then you just rinse and repeat, do not listen to this video people, it's bad bad.
Jane also increase the speed of OTHER characters anomaly build up.
And sure, let's say Yanagi want on field time (no leaks, ty). Unless she have part in her kit that let her get full benefit when overriding her own shock proc with another one,
In just 3-4 rotations (using Jane speed as reference) between the two, you will likely get 2 shock back to back.
This is the entire problem of just playing her purely with afterburn.
The rotation speed will be off very quickly.
One of her main benefits is the disorder procs. The faster you can get it off, the higher the disorder damage, so saying that creating disorder is a damage loss because you are no longer burning is kinda disingenuous. That or you're just not understanding how disorder works and are spreading misinformation
Burnice off-field app is much slower than Jane. If you just keep her off field you will end up triggering more assaults than burns which means less disorders.
Seems like you didn't read or understand any of the testing then. You want her to reapply anomaly with her ex whenever possible, the afterburn serves more to alleviate the amount of time needed to apply subsequent burns rather than something you rely 100% on for anomaly applications. She is a quick swap character, her entire kit works that way, including her signature engine and even the disk set, seeing as it has a lingering effect on the off field buff, precisely for her to quick swap back on field every so often
@@hua.. you want to bring her out only when her charge is depleted, and then let her go off field again. The moment you bring her up you'll already have the burn proc or you're 1 basic from doing it, so you just ex again and go off. what he's saying to do her lines of combos and only after doing a full rotation of burnice you swap her off wich it's not needed, you lose on a lot of buffs and dmg + you rob time off of the main fielder. Seems like you didn't understand nothing, her whole kit/effects and playsyle is based off of that.
I prodominately need Burnice since I have neither Koleda or Soldier 11; I already have Jane which is why I'm skipping Ceasar, but seeing that her team comp can also have grace, I already have a team for her when she comes out. I just need an S-rank ice dealer then I'll have all my bases covered. thanks for the explanation, can't wait for this Wednesday, fingers crossed.
Don't have the tapes to run her with Caeser, but do have Jane, biggest worry im having is not being able to keep heat up due to having to dodge out of EX constantly, since theres not really a good anti interrupt option besides caeser yet
You can use your movestick whiel she's using her single barral flame thrower, and she will dodge to the side and continue with her ex special.

i think you should consider this style if you arent getting her sig, what it does is it increases your dmg upto 70% + 50 AP when she is off field on top of her 0.6 energy gen. i also suspect that its good enough to alleviate from playing quick swap so u can be 'lazy' by playing off her heat, basically rewarding whoever that got her sig, on paper anyway

@@EtherealRuneYou can brute force your way in ZZZ but knowing certain builds does help. I do think however the information on this video is kinda...well maybe not pointless but unless you're relying on the promised crit afterburn you won't need any of this much.
Also certain factors aren't really included. For instance, having a Butler Bangboo is sure guarantee you will never run out of energy and you can trigger anomalies any day of the week.

so basically you just want to use her energy more than her heat, use extra heat to use charged basic for more anomaly, use single ex into double poof for less dps but more overall anomaly damage. burnice's kit never seemed like the part of her that was going to be most interesting to me, all of these sorts of little tricks to making the most of the team are why i'm excited for her most, personally the disorder team being very involved is fun to me

Use single flame thrower + double shotgun (hold ex special than tap) for more anomaly build up with same amount of energy.

You are correct, after burn does NOT maintain the passive. But with this playstyles most build up are done via the ex special, not after burn.
Nice video! jsut a question if your using grace on 4 thunder metal and mainfiedling her with rina burnice as teammates not sure why overriding shock is a bad thing when your using grace as a disorder base? Just wondering your take on it But again nice video!
Oh I'm specifically saying overriding Shock with Shock, and burning with Burning is a huge issue.
RN you can't feel it with grace because grace can't really quickly build shock back to back, but I'm expecting Yanagi (who burnice will probably team with) to have good anomaly build up like Burnice and Jane. And if that's the case afterburn only playstyle won't be able to catch up to the speed of Yanagi, and Yanagi WILL proc shock back to back.

@@SteamedBunX-ZZZ guess that’s true when I use Grace Rina Nicole I have to wait till stun to get my disorder nuke but with burnice I’ll Probaly only be able to get like 1 or 2 grace shock base disorder and then 1 or 2 disorder on burn to re disorders so that makes sense hopefully we get more info about Yanagi later!
It would be so much better to see test results presented as pro/con trade-offs, instead of "bait" and "traps", implying that there is only one good way to use Burnice. These test results directly contradict the results of other theorycrafters on TH-cam. I've seen tests that recommend double flamethrower and tests that recommend single. I've seen tests that prove Burnice is not Energy Regen limited and tests that prove that she is. It's very confusing! What this all tells me is that IT'S ALL TRADE-OFFS. There's no one right way to play Burnice, you choose the trade-offs you need for your team and the situation. Want Burn faster? Use double flamethrower EX, which will cost you energy efficiency. Need Burnice on field for more time? That will cost you Afterburn damage. Every pro has a con and what works best in a situation depends on what you are trying to optimize.
It will be extremely difficult to test until Yanagi is out. Because which u you, will be completely depends on HOW fast can Yanagi apply electric anomaly. However it will probably be somewhere in between. With burnice you will be playing around the heat. BUT if you are building up too much fire. Than double flame + after burn style can slow it down. If you are building up too little. Single flame + double burst give you more build up.
Like I said in the end of the video, be flexable

Soldier 11. Did you forget about her?😂 Burnice will make Soldier 11 stronger by making and keeping many enemies burning, continously. This will make S11's disc drive passive active all the time. There isn't a faster way to apply burn unless you slot in anamoly mastery on S11.
You could also just make her Burnice a main dps and let your stunner and support deal the heat procs.

According to her kit, she is an on field anomaly dps that relies on disorders to do damage, so she will need another anomaly unit (not electric) on her team to work.
I have a Jane Seth with no third. I've been using Nicole and Lucy but I don't have Lucy's mindscape which I hope to be getting with this banner). Would that be a good team to throw Bernice on?
Somewhat useful BUT with your current team you can actually try Nicole as your 3rd slot. you will see a pretty large increase with Jane's Assaults, if the target is inflicted with Nicole's defense shred (it only need to cover when the assault is proced)
Try that team first (unless she's tied to Zhuyuan team ofc lol) before making your final decision :D

If I started another account do I have to login on a different server like Europe or Asia or could I just create a different Hoyo account with a different e-mail, etc.?

@@soundplayground3742 You can (and have to) create another Hoyo account if you want to play on the same region. Either way, new region with same account or same region with another account, you will have to play through EVERYTHING again

Playing both account is more on a free to play choice. Like i created 2nd account because my main account almost failed to get Ellen on 1.0 patch (165 pulls in fact).
Although both account then after was lucky got Zhu Yuan.
When one account saves, another can be spent on un-own characters.
No need to play shiyu or hollow zero on the first two months because causal playing. Doesnt matter too much for me.

Im planning to skip her and the next 2 featured units including Miyabi (If shes next after the 2) since i have ellen as my ice dps and soldier 11 with koleda is good enough fire team for me. Hope this is a good decision since I don't have Jane doe

The afterburn is just a bonus, in a full flagged disorder team with Yanagi. She will HAVE to contribute most of the burning with her EX-Special to keep up (I think).

If we only had 4 party members the issues of some team comps would be much easier to solve ,but as of right now the meta teams don't leave much room to exchange party members.

if you want to minmax jane then neither, you want to look out for s rank support or buffer in general like caesar.
This tbh, Like I said Burnice only provide minimal boos to Jane's power, Jane is a hyper carry and for every second she's on field, she deals damage effectively. If we get an S rank support who can cover some different type of multiplier she doesn't have a lot rn, she will boost Jane significantly better than Burnice.

In all honesty, I barely understood anything about the video.
Correct me if I'm wrong which I probably am, but are you saying that Burnice can be used as the main anomaly DPS like Piper, AKA just fill up the anomaly circle thing asap, and completely ignore the afterburn mechanic?
i think hes saying she can be a half in half with another anomaly unit, therefore a lot of quick swapping to proc each others anomaly, where as the current way thats suggested online to use her is as an off fielder who u just use to ignite and then move off field and forget about her and let the other unit do their thing, but doing it that way u'll lose disorder potentials, where as quick swapping her in procking then quick swapping in ur other unit procking on repeat will mean more disorders and presumably more damage, so he's suggesting a much more active playstyle for her which in your case u could use her as a main dps, as long as you're consistently procking another element to maximize damage..
To make it simple, you use Burnice to trigger burn anomaly. After that, you use Piper to trigger assault. BAM! You get disorder(bonus damage).
Rinse and repeat.
Afterburn is something that help burn proc faster to some degree and a bit of free damage.

Based my time testing Burnice, I feel like disorder could be shaping up to the HARDEST playstyle in Zenless Zone Zero.

It's gonna be HEAVILY depends on if Yanigi is strong or not. Because Burnice is shaping up great at triggering disorder often, but the damage she provides doesn't triump what Jane can do
See other CC playtest her with disorder and do fine. You're playing her wrong here.
I've been experimenting for a few months with a combination of an Ice and Fire disorder team. Ellen, Lucy, and S11. It's a higher skillcap to do disorder comps, but that's what I was going for. My ellen can hard carry ice all by herself, and I have Ellen built for increased ATK stats over ice ones. Lucy is surprisingly good as a support for any team, regardless whether it's a team with fire or disorder, she buffs her squad off field for a long time if built and triggered in chain properly. Burnice is going to fill out my fire team, and slot into my Disorder team replacing S11, just to see if it's better.

I even put her with my Crit S11. Not only does she deal more fire damage, once the burn effect takes place, S11 will begin hitting crits given she's built right.

I actually think her W-engine is pretty high value compared to her M1. Burnice have a severe lack of damage bonus just like Jane, and the damage bonus on her W-Engine is very high value.
Having energy coming from her W-Engine also means you have more freedom with using her double flamethrower without running out of energy so easily, which offset the anomaly build up coming from her M1.

I was very hyped for Burnice... until I got to play her in the story. Her gameplay was super clunky. Now I'm saving for the idol squad.

So from what I understand, the first playstyle (double assault jane doe) wouldn't work for when teamed with Yanagi or other anomaly agents with Fire, Ether or Shock.
Playstyle that makes better Burnice 😱:
1. Use charged attack strategically because it allows more anomaly buildup
2. Best way to build up heat WHILE conserving energy is with single barrel fire to double barrel burst.

Yes. The trap is more about the after burn mechanic and the specific rotation you will be running her with Yanigi.
You build her for anomaly stats, there, saved you some 10 minutes of your time.
also, don't use double barrels as often in Yanagi teams. Afterburn + Double barrel will likely be too slow on anomaly build up and cause Yanagi to trigger shock back to back during rotation.

crit helps with the dps but it's so insignificant you can get away with no crit at all basically, using a crit/crit dmg 4 piece is trolling. Crit should only be on substats and should never be chosen over proficiency or attack.
@@apathyreaper5323 Jane's Crit Rate is actually scaled from Anomaly Proficiency, so yup. Not even Jane needs Crit (unless Crit DMG, it still helps a bit but not the priority)

Well you are not wrong actually, I got carried away while making the script, but She's insanely good for any onfield DPS as the parry/buffing agent.
She's good for any dps that stays on field a lot, of which Jane is by far the strongest. The video only mentioned the trend of characters that complement each other running back to back, not that Caesar is only good for Jane, it was pretty easy to understand
