Ah nice I have a 2012 ninja 650, just looking at changing the oil for the first time since I got it

That is a nice-looking bike (too bad about the scuffing). It's actually easier than that to do the same on my Daytona, the filter and drain plug are both on the bottom and none of the body work has to be moved at all (different story when it comes time to do the coolant, that's a bit of a pain).

Yeah, I considered replacing the plastics (under $500) but I'll let the next owner decide. Nice that Triumph made the oil change easy for ya.

What size spools are you using? I just got a 2012 Kawi Ninja and my name is Kristen as well.. haha what are the odds?

How do you reset the oil light on a 2016 650? I’ve done the oil change but the light is still back on.

Its been 8 months so hope your bike hasn’t blown up by now, but the oil light comes on because of insufficient oil pressure

what does he mean when he starts to put the new filter in "were gonna torque this down to 13lb of torque"???
is he talking about how tight hes putting it back in?.... confused.

Yes 13 ft/lb (17nm) is the torque spec on the filter
