What is pathetic is that AMD cards are supposed be in stock at retailers right now but we still can't buy one because they can't decide on a price. Who in the world is running their marketing ??
AMD needed to polish drivers and make sure that FSR 4 is ready at launch. Any game with FSR support will work with FSR 4 on day one. I would rather we get a polished product than listen to people complain about bugs. It also makes perfect sense for them to wait until Nvidia's raw raster and RT performance (without upscalers) came out. That is the best way to price their product accurately.

Maybe - would be nice to see AMD grow it's market share (while I know it's not fully accurate, it would be nice to see AMD get even in the top 20. But the biggest tell of where the market is at, is how fast Intel is selling ARC B580's. It's the lower end of the market that is really moving.
I've been disappointed too many times by Nvidia's and AMD's price/performance models so you can't rope me in with your hopium. I'll apologize by buying their card.
You should really watch Moore's Law is Dead's latest video. His numbers have been proven correct so far. The 9070 XT is much faster than the 5070Ti at raster. It actually trades blows with the 5080 in certain titles, as the latest Nvidia cards are unimpressive without DLSS 4 or frame gen. In fact, the 9070 XT is hugely faster at RT than the 7000 series at up to 40%. That puts it at near parity with the 5070Ti. FSR 4 is an AI upscaler that looks far better than FSR 3.1 even on its lowest setting. The card will be a huge bargain if it sells for around 550-600$. Either way, it will be less than Nvidia's 750$ 5070Ti.
nvidia has still 5200 to launch , remember the last time nvidia launched 5000 series , 5500 5600 5700 wont be much better but much cheaper to make for nvidia - with a new 5200 i can at least play some games if its better than 730 and 1100 -at lowest resulution as in the past old days

yeah same my friend wanted a 5080 so we both was trying to buy him one no chance and then to top it off overclockers and scan bumped the prices up 300£ like come on man now everything is pre order for march
For 2 or 3 thousand $ you have a whole PC that you can enjoy for years, the prices remain ridiculously high, people would be better off waiting another year and working with the 40 and 30 series or AMD which have much softer prices, I myself have the AMD RX 7900 XTX AQUA 24GB OC, works fine with everything
That’s only if you’re going for a 5090. The vast majority of people don’t need, want or can afford that anyway. The main value will be RX 9070XT and RTX 5070ti.
If the AMD cards can perform even close to what they hope for and get a decent improvement in Ray tracing with RX 9070XT FE no more than $599.99 that way board partners can make there gamming cards small overclocking and their extreme OC for $649-699 maybe $749 for one with built in AIO or at minimum a full card water block with RGB. This would rock Nvidia dominance in the GPU market in price to performance alone, this is what AMD needs to do even if it cuts profit to the bone the explosion in sales would more than make up for it and fund further advancement.
even if the 9070xt was $750 it would still blow away the 5080, 5070ti and 5070. if it prices actually at $500-$550 , it is gonna stomp the absolute dog shit out of nivida's entire product line.
Not to mention their RT is actually reaching parity with Nvidia and FSR 4 is a major upgrade. So AMD will be the go to option for me. Especially when you see how badly the 5000 series is doing without DLSS 4 enabled.
It’s not going to blow away the 5080 stop the delusion. It will be a 5070ti competitor. Even if it’s an improvement still worse upscaling, raytracing and it will sell way worse.
If, and BIG IF. If the RX 9070 XT can beat both the 5080 and 5070 we might start seeing non bs prices for GPUs. Plus Intel could be a year or 2 away from being able to compete at the 2k gpu level. The more options we have the better off we're going to be
WTF are you smoking...b580 can only beat a 4060 if you pair it with a high end cpu and the performance from game to game is so inconsistant that its not funny anymore and you expect them to compete with a 2k$ gpu in 1-2 years...

Oh brother, the 9070 XT absolutely smokes the 5070 lol. It has better raster than the 5080 in some titles. AMD's RT performance has improved up to 40% over the 7000 series. FSR 4 is now an AI upscaler and looks better than FSR 3.1 even on its lowest setting. Nvidia's mid range is going to get destroyed. AMD isn't messing up and it is going to overclock to over 3Ghz. Has raster on par with 7900 XTX/4080 and even trades blows with that POS 5080 in certain titles. It also has a 40% RT improvement over the 7000 series and FSR 4 looks amazing. Nvidia is in deep crap.
@@PyroBlonde7777 When you talk about the reasons WHY it was delayed? Coreteks has a really good vid on it. I so hope it is successful but we will see. AMD tends always be a $ short at the end of the day..
If the 9070XT gets that level of raster performance, gets a decent bump in ray tracing and comes in between $599 - 649 like you're estimating, chances are good, the 9070XT will be my next card. Come on AMD!
Frank Azor saying $899 was never the planned price for the 9070XT, doesn't automatically mean the price is going to be way lower. I'll wait and see. I'll be shocked (and happy) if it's any less than $750.
Nvidia's strategy is to say that its cards are sold out so that the scalpers can set the price and then launch the cards with inflated prices from the different assemblers
The 5080 actually loses to the 9070 XT in some titles. The 9070 XT will also boost to over 3Ghz if you buy a Red Devil and will likely gain another 10-15% more performance with driver updates. Nvidia really thought they could substitute raw performance with DLSS 4. I'm sure it will work on the ignorant masses but informed gamers will be eating.
Nvidia want to sell us a $1000 card that can't do high settings. AMD want to sell us a $1000 card that can't do high settings. Spoilt for choice. What a time to be alive 😅
Blame the gaming industry for that. They've been relying on better and better hardware as a crutch and now it's hit it's breaking point. We are at a point where we are debating if 16gb gddr7 is even enough vram when games like Uncharted 2, God of War 3, Killzone 2, etc were all running on 256mb gddr3. AAA gaming is cooked.
what are you talking about? cant run high settings? I got a 4080 and play every game at high to max settings at 4k, with no frame gen. So yeah you can get a card to do high settings. And most games i run native no dlss either..
They work with AAA game studios to intentionally make high settings require expensive cards. For instance, Indiana Jones And The Great Circle just happens to need 16.5GB with all settings on at 4K, causing it to bench at 3 fps on 16GB cards.

I'll be going with another Red Devil because I've loved my 6800 XT for all these years. I just hope they price it right at around 550-600$.
AMD vga's will only be cheaper until they have at least an equal share of the gamer market in their segment, like Nvidia. As it happens, it will be the same as with CPUs! AMD cpu is almost more expensive than intel! And whether they do or not, this is the reality of business! AMD is not a charity association either, the goal is profit! You either accept this or you live in your fiction!
2:55 actually, those are 4090s, and they're so expensive because they stopped all production of those cards entirely before releasing the 50s, which made their value skyrocket XD

Amd done said a few months back no more expensive cards they want to make more affordable gpus gain more market share as every year they’ve yet to make any significant gains in the market, but their cpus on the other hand are in fact making good market gains every year since the launch of ryzen, amd is using this time to basically go back to the drawing board and rethink everything and try to and return to what made them a beloved company and gave them better market share which was literally being more affordable while also giving reasonable price to performance
My biggest question is are they going to treat the partners better than Nvidia did theirs because theres a huge difference between the founders cards and the partners cards when it comes to price
That pricing could be accurate if you add the limited edition pricing, which makes it +$100, and then + tax = $899. Now it makes sense. The price may be closer to $599-$649 MSRP for the 9070 XT. Best pricing, in my opinion, would be $499 for the 9070 XT and $399 for the non-XT. With this pricing, it would be pretty competitive against Nvidia 5070 lineup. This pricing could make them regain some market share.
Bro, you're wrong. Those $4,000 GPUs on Newegg were 4090s! Also, most of what you claim sold out instantly NEVER LAUNCHED. They report as out of stock even if they have not been for sale yet.

I agree with you the only way to stop scalpers is to not buy from them. We will only get them to stop if they get left holding the bag. I really hope that AMD is able to pull this off too, the market desperately needs the competition. I also hope that they are able to pull this off because that may give me a backup plan should I fail to get a 5070 ti as my PC is reaching the end of its life with ray tracing and 12gb of vram becoming effectively mandatory moving forward.

@@monkkeye They can. Easily. You don't have to be better. You just have to be cheaper whilst giving good enough performance. Either way, it will be less than Nvidia's 750$ 5070Ti.

its stupid cause at that point if you need vram get an a6000 with 48gb, better for professional loads anyway...
They have bots or retailers pretent to sell it just to scalp themselves.
There's absolutely nothing worth playing to justify a 2k GPU.
With an average price of $650 for the 9070xt would kill nvidia in the midrange, $100 less than the 5070ti and has better performance.
You mean reference card RX 9070XT. Founders Edition is Nvidia’s name. Also AMD is team hope as always.
We say this kind of thing about Radeon releases every two years. Let's just take it easy.
even if the 9070xt was $750 it would still blow away the 5080, 5070ti and 5070. if it prices actually at $500-$550 , it is gonna stomp the absolute dog shit out of nivida's entire product line.

Nvidia's strategy is to say that its cards are sold out so that the scalpers can set the price and then launch the cards with inflated prices from the different assemblers
The bonus is that if it beats the 4080 it, *by default*, is basically an Underclocked 5080.
The 5080 actually loses to the 9070 XT in some titles. The 9070 XT will also boost to over 3Ghz if you buy a Red Devil and will likely gain another 10-15% more performance with driver updates. Not only is AMD trading blows with the 5080 in some titles, their actually reaching near parity at running RT. Some sources show a near 40% improvement over last gen 7000 series cards. Now that FSR 4 utilized AI for upscaling, we will see a highly effective RT card with impressive raster performance on top of that.
Nvidia FINALLY copied AMD's FMF *_BUT_** they locked it to new GPUs!!?* _Figures_ 🤦
This is why I buy AMD.
The way to stop scammers is for the manufacturers to have enough stock at release.
Rooting for AMD! Also i bet they are working on innovative tech stacking those chips together in one gpu for 9080 and maybe a 9090 XTXTX. Imagine they could be as successful in the upcoming years with internal gpu "crossfire" like they've been with Epyc and Ryzen.
Good good good. No company should dominate any market.

The sad thing is, he was looking at 4090s at over $4,000.
anyone dropping 2K+ on a GPU isn't going to care about the knockon effect of scalpers, they're buying it for 2.5k 3k or 4k
AMD, if you're reading this, we are all cheering and banking on the two-month delay to pay out in the end. PLEASE DO NOT LET US DOWN!

I'm alot more excited for AMD than 5080. There was this rumour about a firmware/bios update to the RX9000 a couple weeks ago, after this leak from Moore's. I hope AMD will make our competition dreams come true. I might go for a 9070XT this year.
