@@flamingscar5263It's both sides, while i agree developers seem to be focusing less and less on doing optimizations, epic does advertise unreal to be a pretty complete package, and it's been well covered that various features used in UE5 fundamentally are flawed. I just did a 14900K build in the same case. I was able to cram a 280 mm Arctic 3 in it which seems to keep it reasonably cool. I was pleasantly surprised by the thermals in your particular build using this particular case model. This case has a reputation of being a bit of an oven. I recently used the Zalman T3 Plus in a build (An i7 3770K&1070ti Titanium) and my temps are a little higher than yours even if I take the front panel of the case off! I also have 3 intake on the front, 2 exhaust on the top, 1 exhaust on the rear. The high temps I suspect are due to a negative inside case pressure which I will attempt to switch to positive by reversing the flow of the rear (currently exhaust flow) fan into an intake. I suspect this will provide a more positive cooler air pressure inside the case which will lower overall temps. I enjoyed watching your video and subbed :) thanks~
Solid build. I probably would have went with the 6600 tho to keep the software uniform under the adrenalin software. Ive seen them on ebay new sealed for 150, use that extra $50 to upgrade the ssd to a 1tb and add a couple intake fans

Good build video, horrible case- the Cooler Master Q300L is an oven, I took a dremel to the low porosity side panels to cut out whole sections for front 120mm fans and top 240mm AIO rad, bottom front 120mm fan and rear 120mm fan areas got cut out too. Should point out you should NEVER bend back PCIe slot covers with the motherboard installed. New builders may try this, and their motherboard may have audio capacitors or other electronics in this area which will get damaged or broken by the cover hitting them while bending. Ask me how I know ;) Keep up the awesome content.
here in asia we had the 7400F, was gonna suggest that then figured the AM5 platform is pricier and harder to access for that budget than AM4's (Mobo and Ram).
I think it’s a good idea to use deals as a way to determine your first build if you’re ever in doubt. Wanted to do amd? There’s a really good deal on intel? Take the intel chip, amd motherboard is cheaper and there’s a add on for ram or some other random component like ssd? Take that. As long as you start in a platform with a strong upgrade path, deals are a fun and pretty cost effective way to decide builds(can vary ofc)
I came here JUST to say I absolutely HATE that cooler master case. I hate the slipon/olff vent covers. I hate the recessed PSU bracket. I hate the plexiglass cover. Please whoever watches this video dear LORD JUST spend the extra $10 on a better case.. That case is SO BAD. I will say however KTC makes really great budget monitors. They have the cheapest available hdmi 2.1 4k monitor (which I also own) and is a great buy.
For anyone who wants to get max value out of $500 used, I got a dell precision t3630 for $150 with i7 9700, 32gb ram, 450w gold standard PSU. Then add a RTX 3060, 2TB NVME, upgraded CPU cooler, and you’re looking at right around $500
@@brentopp1ermorejust wanna give people options definitely do your own research, but I’m not sure I agree that this PC beats the one I put together. A i7 9700 has two more cores (8 total) and will boost up to 4.7ghz, a good margin the 4.2 of the R5 5500 used here. A you could use a 512gb NVME used here and skip the cooler, bring the total price down. At $150 for system on EBay/Marketplace + $25 for storage, then a RTX 3060 and the Arc A750 used here are about the same cost used currently ~150. @mcflapp R5 it’s arguable the better processor for multithreaded applications since it’s R5 5500 with 6c/12t at 4.2ghz, but in what world does a i3 4c/4t at 4.3ghz beat a i7 8c/8t at 4.7ghz?

for these gus the pci express generation is not vital, is very important for those gpus that only have 4 lanes, the others will accomodate to what is available
For months many people have been complaining about technical errors in syberpunk 2077 for this reason i didnt play it yet. Have you found any technical errors while playing it in 2025?
That case is ancient, probably spend the extra money to get another case because the airflow isnt the best. Spending and extra $15 will make upgrades down the line wayyyy easier (no case swap)
I have been eyeballing that particular case for a while, but I have two of the Q300L V2 variant because of the tempered glass. One of my V2s is going to my sister, and I know for a fact she would scratch that acrylic... lmao. I would also recommend spending at least another $15 and picking up a 3 pack of fans. This case can hold up to six 120mm fans. Why have one sad little fan and terrible airflow when you can have better airflow on the cheap?
I kinda think it's worth it to spend the extra $20 to get a b550 board at this stage. You get pcie 4.0 instead of 3.0. You will get full potential from future upgrades likes a 5700x3d and any graphics cards.
Pcie 4.0 isn't going to make a difference unless you have a low end gpu that needs the bandwidth to swap stuff into vram. So cards with less than 8 pcie lanes or less than 8gb of vram like 6500xt, 6400, a380 etc
I can vouch this is a great beginner PC, I built this same exact setup, but the AMD GPU and a Gigabyte B450 Mbo. I was wondering about the temps. but now I know what to do.
I would say go with the intel chip and a ddr5 board. This way, your cpu upgrade path is much better as am4 is basically dead. **I am not saying am4 is not still a viable socket for gaming** If you start out with the 12100f, you can eventually upgrade to 14th gen i5 i7 or i9, which are all debatably better than the last am4 chip. Thank you for the awesome budget content. All content nowadays seems to be about the most expensive parts you can get.
I'd go with R5 3600 which is tiny bit cheaper and you can buy it new and paired it with some B550 motherboard to get the PCie 4 support. Yes the difference between PCie 3 and 4 is not that big but at least you can get the max out of the GPU and Gen4 SSD. The storage should be fine for a little while but you'll have to add more storage sooner rather than later. If you can just go for 1TB from start.
Can't recall what the price was, but I have older box with about same specs and because of that I noticed few shops here have old upgrade stock with mobo, R5 3600 and 16gigs of mem all total for was it less than 150euros. It's absolutely good idea to check those new old stock combos if aiming for budget build.
Acer was offering a $199 34" curved ultrawide 1440p with 165Hz awhile back, i think it's normally 249 or 299 but personally i think that is a way, way better deal than the sponsored one :(

am4 is not at the end if amd keeps releasing new cpus am5 is more expensive, on cpu, ram and motherboard, you want to reach certain value, am4 is umbeatable
solid build, i would only change three things, the case and the cpu heatsink, that one is sort of noisy, the case is not of my taste the gpu, well, intel is a pass, so for some is just fine, not for me, that 6600 is the way to go
the difference is not that big on this case, you might lose a couple fps, but wont matter in reality, the problem would be if the gpu had less than 8 pci lanes to work with
the cpu? it has tpm2, you can check that information on microsoft site but tbh, microsoft is sort of removing that requirement, because they want you to use their ai copilot
Not to be that person but that case it's long in the tooth. And I've seen the brutal review from GN that the case has bad airflow. Don't be deceived by that mesh front.

I built this same exact pc last september with a 6650xt and a b550 instead of the 450 and a750 i even used the same exact case
1st time ive heard of Silicon Power Brand for memory module distirbutor for RAM and Storage. cool ill add that to my list.
Nevermind the PC, tell us more about your cat please.
Bro is definitely relatives with OCracing
I'd go with R5 3600 which is tiny bit cheaper and you can buy it new and paired it with some B550 motherboard to get the PCie 4 support. Yes the difference between PCie 3 and 4 is not that big but at least you can get the max out of the GPU and Gen4 SSD.
The storage should be fine for a little while but you'll have to add more storage sooner rather than later. If you can just go for 1TB from start.
3600 is $90 or more new
Can't recall what the price was, but I have older box with about same specs and because of that I noticed few shops here have old upgrade stock with mobo, R5 3600 and 16gigs of mem all total for was it less than 150euros. It's absolutely good idea to check those new old stock combos if aiming for budget build.
Nice build 👌
Awesome Nintendo systems on the shelf back there.
No one mentioning the case matches your cat.
Acer was offering a $199 34" curved ultrawide 1440p with 165Hz awhile back, i think it's normally 249 or 299 but personally i think that is a way, way better deal than the sponsored one :(
Hey it's the cas ethat everyone hates, but it's such a good deal!
The thermaltake s100 case is not bad for that $30 price mark as well
Is the cat factored into the price tag or is that separate🤔
The cat hair is free at least.
Those games don't feel like 60fps. Maybe screen recording went rouge somewhere in between
watching this video on my KTC monitor
I have a question if you don't mind answering, what do you do with all these prebuilts you build on your channel? Do you sell them ? If yes do you get full market value and profit?
Im here for the cat 😻
Hey Matt. I'm currently putting together a pc build inside a CRT TV. I was hoping I could possibly get into contact with you to pick your brain about my ideas. I got alot of the case modified already with a solid plan, but you seem to have alot of experience with putting parts into unconventional cases.
If you spend a little more you can get a b550 motherboard which has PCIe gen 4 and same with the nvme slot on the motherboard aswell
Good video, i dont think you should have flipped the power supply, just put something under the case instead.
For minecraft You NEED Sodium, literally everyone uses it. After that you try shaders
great build but if you can spare a little extra get a 5600 cpu and a 6650 xt GPU and you can have a system that can do 1080P high settings all day long
i could NOT believe the improvement in temps i got when i upgraded off the q300L. it's fine for super low end gaming but for $500 you can do better
hahahaha. You could have given a run of parts that makes your setup better.
@@dlewis9760i pretty much had this build but swap the case for a fractal pop air case. like i said, i also have the q300l and my temps dropped 10°c across the board. you can also get a used cpu to make up the diff
The other downside to Intel is that I don’t trust used 13th or 14th gen higher end CPUs nowadays. AM4 has a better upgrade path
At this price range 2.5 years ago I did i3 10100f and gtx 1070
If only we have the same pricing here in the Philippines.
0:37 KITTY! :)
This but used with a 5600x and a rx 7600 or something around that tier
You should try “BSL” Minecraft shaders
i have a spare i3 12100f from my old build, what motherboard would go good with that if i were to build it with this guide? looking to build my little brother a gaming pc. or should i just sell it for around 60$ and go for a 5500/5600x, ive seen a bunch on aliexpress
Black wyth wukong😂😂😂 13:41
I know there's a budget to think of, but building an AM4 system in 2025 kinda stings.
am4 is the platform that refuses to die, love it or hate it, it reaches the price and perormance you want
Just bought an RTx 3080 pc for $750. About to sell it for 1k
Better than a ps5 pro, get mad ponies.
Why not go for am5 like 7500 ? Am4 is at end of cycle
Because you cant build am5 system for 500$?
@@nidz3876 Just don't get a GPU, All Ryzen 7000 and 8000 series have iGPUs in them unless it has an F at the end.
@@Kromiball yea but theyre pretty ass
@@dunderh3ad They run somewhat like a GTX 1650 which isn't bad! All things considered
am4 is not at the end if amd keeps releasing new cpus
am5 is more expensive, on cpu, ram and motherboard, you want to reach certain value, am4 is umbeatable
solid build, i would only change three things, the case and the cpu heatsink, that one is sort of noisy, the case is not of my taste
the gpu, well, intel is a pass, so for some is just fine, not for me, that 6600 is the way to go
Can i be able to get a nice 1080p performance with this along side next 3 years? Please reply boy
beautiful car 0:44
Beautiful car indeed
bro i have the exact same pc case and mobo and cpu with rx6600 16gb ram
Why use a card that uses pcie 4.0 when cpu only supports pcie 3.0?
the difference is not that big on this case, you might lose a couple fps, but wont matter in reality, the problem would be if the gpu had less than 8 pci lanes to work with
Shout out to you budget gamers I’m older now and can buy w.e. I want, It’s not everything or The same as being 17-21
Does it meet windows 11 requirements?
the cpu? it has tpm2, you can check that information on microsoft site
but tbh, microsoft is sort of removing that requirement, because they want you to use their ai copilot
I've the quite the same build, except for the bigger psu (650w) and a waaaaaaay older gpu (rx580). I'm thinking about a gpu upgrade!
Not to be that person but that case it's long in the tooth. And I've seen the brutal review from GN that the case has bad airflow. Don't be deceived by that mesh front.
It's cheap and good looking, and the airflow issues don't matter as much if you're running lower power parts.
@@arthurwintersight7868 I guess. Hard to find a 38 dollar case in your market. I just checked PC Parts Picker. Meanwhile in my country there are plenty options in the 38 dollar range with side tempered glass panel and mesh front.
test ff7 rebirth it just came out on pc its a p good benchmark test

IYKYK
You mean cat fur in the PC?
@@theculturedgentleman3699 Indeed. I repair PCs (mostly laptops). Those cat hairs are basically a fire hazard waiting to detonate
@@yerachmielb1yeah I’d imagine that’s the issue. I don’t have pets because I hate having to always walk after them to keep things in order as well as reasons like this.
Hair everywhere
Perfect for word processing in 6K....maybe.
tf that actually just my pc but different case and a a770
a intel B580 im my area is going for 260
please test atelier ryza 3
Well the 5600 is just about 20% more (15% with discount) in my country so I'd go with that. I don't really care about the case because at the price it's all shitty. For the GPU the RX 6600 is cheaper here and I don't want to deal with intel crappy driver. But if you have another headroom, get an RX 6650 XT.
I'd add 4TB HDD to this.
hdd? in 2025? ssd on sata at least!
@@arch1107it really doesnt make a difference on most games
OHHHHH! IT'S A KITTY! 😍
Also Matt, if you have it can you test Rust on this system?
might as well add a few more bucks and get the newer intel gpus
if you have a specific budget, you do not do that
your opinion is wiser, but when you are broke af, this is what you do
@arch1107 that extra you're paying will come in clutch imo
