She’s Rhaenyra’s cousin on her mother’s side, and she is gay.
There were a few gay and bisexual characters in GOT: Renly Baratheon, Robert’s brother Loras Tyrell, Margaery’s brother Yara Greyjoy, Theon’s sister who was bisexual Oberyn Martell, played by Pedro Pascal who was also bisexual.
Just a few answers to some of the questions you guys asked: I feel like Daemon finds Targaryens most attractive. Like a lot of other Targaryens he’s really passionate and obsessed with his heritage. Which is probably a big part of the reason why he’s so into Rhaenyra. Corlys probably asked about the succession and last names because he needs to know there will be an heir with the name Velayron to take over Driftmark and continue his line. Laenor is his only son and now he's wed to Rhaenyra. It would be a good question to ask since traditionally the children pretty much always take the father’s last name. So it made sense for Corlys to inquire to Viserys exactly what his plan was to handling that. Corlys probably thought maybe there was a SLIM but unlikely chance that maybe his grandchild through Rhaenyra would take the iron throne under the name Velayron but of course Viserys wouldn’t allow that because that would potentially be the end to the Targaryen dynasty but more importantly Corlys needed to know Driftmark would survive under the name Velayron which Viserys explains would happen under one of Rhaenyra’s second sons. Continuing legacy is huge in Westeros. After the Criston convo. Alicent probably thinks that Rhaenyra smashed both Daemon AND Criston and is under the impression that Rhaenyra lied about everything and as a result had her father Otto fired for what Alicent now believes was her father telling the truth. All in order for Rhaenyra to cover for herself. Alicent now believes she “accepted” Rhaenyra’s lie to defend Rhaenyra against her own father’s word by telling the king she was still a maiden (virgin). In that moment Alicent starts to believe that what her father said is true about what Rhaenrya will do to her children to stay in power. You got to remember Alicent is raised very religious and conditioned to adhere to rules and duty. In Alicent’s mind she feels Rhaenyra has the most privileged life yet still takes advantage to abuse that privilege and do whatever she wants and she feels now that it’s gotten her father sent away and could harm her children. Her showing up late in her hightower house green instead of the Targaryen red dresses she had been wearing until now was her sending a message after she feels betrayed by Rhaenyra. The rat drinking the blood on the floor at the end is symbolic for all the people looking to benefit from the chaos as well as the weakening of Viserys.
She is building soft power this way. She arrives late, so everybody has to stand and look at her. And the people understood what she meant as shown by her uncle telling her right away that Oldtown stands with her. She signals that she needs allies. I got chills in that moment.
Someone might have already mentioned this but Daemons goal last episode was to ruin Rhaenyra’s reputation and make the King think she lost her virginity to him in a whore house. Daemon thought this would make it more plausible for him to marry Rhaenyra because, as Viserys said, “who would wed her now in this condition.” Reputation and perception really matters in this world.

By the time of the Dance, there are approximately 14 dragonriders so I'll give you a count of the current ones revealed so far allied to which house: House Targaryen Rhaenyera - Syrax Daemon - Ceraxes Aegon II - Sunfyre (hatchling) House Velaryon Laenor - Seasmoke Rhaenys - Meleys (the two you see flying in at the wedding)
Aegon bonded with Sunfyre at Dragonstone. Sunfyre hatched there, but it isn't stated when exactly. Just that he was a young dragon. At this point Aegon doesn't have a dragon yet, because he didn't have a craddle egg. Spoiler!!! Viserys gave none of his first 3 children craddle eggs. Aegon, Helaena and Aemond all had to claim dragons. Daeron was the only of his children with Alicent who got one, because Jace was born at the same time and had one and it seemed unfair if Jace has one and Daeron has not.

I've watched a lot of people react to this show and I, for one, think you're both doing a great job. You're allowed to have a different opinion from people who've watched the entire show, probably multiple times, when you haven't seen how it ends yet. Of course your opinions on characters are going to change throughout the show and you're going to make comparisons to Game of Thrones. It's only natural. Keep doing what you're doing! ☺

This episode switched my side from the Blacks to the Greens 100%. I was always a mix between the Blacks for Viserys and Rhaenyra, but after seeing all the pain Alicent was put through, plus Otto having very valid points, I switched sides. #TeamGreen
Yeah, you got it. Rhaenyra still lied about having sex. The Daemon of it all was just the confusion. Viserys said it that she 'exposed herself.' She probably could've still had sex with Criston or anyone else but being so visible and reckless kinda fucks her. The question is that would she have had sex with Criston had Daemon not rejected her? And also would Alicent be as angry if Rhaenyra hadn't sworn on her mother? Something she knows Alicent cares deeply about having lost her own mother. I was kinda waiting for you to switch on Alicent but now I'm a bit afraid it's gonna switch back lol.
The Green Wedding. "One flesh. one heart. I am yours and you're mine. Whatever may come"...that was about the two tortured souls, being united by fate, in the godswood, under the moonlit tree. It's them who were forever becoming one, until the bitter end. Rhaenyra, much like us, was too complacement to see the forest for the trees. It's only fitting that while Viserys, Corlys, Rhaenys, Lionel Strong & athe rest of the gallery of clowns were bargaining & splitting hairs about who will sit the iron throne & while the audience is fawning over what kinda edgy stuff Daemon is plotting, the chain of events that starts the downfall of the mighty Targaryen Dynasty starts with the two unlikliest of peoples finding each other on that cursed night.
Lady Rhea daemon's wife is not ugly... He don't like her because he doesn't like her.. he is stating that it was diplomatic and not by his choosing.. that's why he don't like her

Targaryens an incest family even daemon parents and grandparents was siblings…him and rhaenyra like each other I mean I get the age gap but those are the times back then. Tho it’s not good the writer of the show confirmed daemon killed his wife to be with rhaenyra and he said he does actually love rhaenyra. Really great reactions from you both can’t wait for more.

In the book, Rhaenyra and Alicent were never friends. In fact, they despised each other (and they were 9 years apart, when Alicent married Viserys she was 18, while Rhaenyra was 9). But Rhaenyra may have been bisexual, her real best friend was Laena Velaryon, the book said she was "fond and more than fond" of Laena. They were really great friends and the show took that away from the fans. Laena was very important to Rhaenyra and Daemon and in the show she is just a sideline character who doesn't seem very important. Shame on the writers honestly.

Otto got sent back to his home in oldtown where the hightowers are from also they created the faith of the seven and maestors, disgusting Otto really wanted to stir the pot before he left by blaming and poisoning his own daughter to believe that rhaenrya would kill her siblings when clearly she would never do that because she was taught be all about family but of course alicent fell for his manipulation once again, Otto is the worst cause he literally put her in that position in the first place because of his greed for power and unfortunately alicent has to pay the price for it, i felt a little bad for criston but he is selfish cause the only reason he wanted to runaway was so he can restore is oath and not for love when he broke his own vows by sleeping with a drunk teen when he was aka a grown man sober and could’ve left that night but didn’t so for toxic Stan’s say rhaenrya is selfish for using him when by using her power to force him to sleep with her clearly didn’t watch the same show! Like did had so many open chances to leave that night or could have said no but I think he and rhaenrya had a mutual attraction towards each other which is why he kissed her back after! It goes to show that alicent never trusted her own friend so she fell for a peg leg man getting in her ear and asking her sworn protecter about daemon when she could’ve went to ask rhaenrya again if she started to have doubts but once again it didn’t concern her, I get alicent felt a lil betrayed by rhae so decided to show up at her engagement with her house colors declaring war against rhae which doesn’t make any sense?!!
