That scene of watching Jon from behind, holding his sword at the ready, bracing to face his oncoming death was so iconic.
I could study that moment and what it says about Jon and wrote an essay on it
To top it off it wasn’t CGI, they were real horses charging at the real Kit Harrington
Ramsay kept calling jon a basterd to try and rile him up because being called a basterd pisses Ramsay off
He wore it like armor
in episode 1 Tyrion tells Jon that he should wear the title of Bastard like armor because if he doesn't people can use it against him. Interesting that Jon found peace with it to some extent while Ramsay was still utterly vulnerable to it.
@@LippsReactsyou're recalling things said in the first episode and season, some six years ago. Talk about character development and their motives.
How this series imitates real life in that regard: where you grew up, who you grew up with, things that happened or were done to you or what you did...that is why GoT is the best series to watch reactors: how people connect the subtle dots.
Hey Lipps, I was an unseen extra in this episode, I was in the group that was with Davos. This was an incredible experience to be a part of. So many bearded men here in Northern Ireland got to be extras in this show. The main cast were all brilliant with the extras, especially Iwan Rheon who played Ramsay.
That must have been awesome!
One neat little thing to notice is when Jon is charging Ramsey, he picks up a shield with the sigil of House Mormont. The lady Lyanna (Bella Ramsey) promised them 60 something men, and those men clearly fought as fiercely as she said they would as to make it that far into the castle/battle.
I still don’t like that Sansa never mentioned to Jon about maybe having Littlefinger and The Nights of the Vale, but I do like that Jon let her have that kill. She didn’t know about Ramsey not feeding his dogs for 7 days. She had left before him saying that. So Jon gave her that information.
I do have to say that your comments are half the fun of the entire video! Yes, keep them coming! It is fun to see you come up with theories and explain some of your reactions as well as filling in the gaps where you, perhaps were too busy reacting to comment! Please, do what is comfortable for you! Either way it is either fun, or more fun for us!
Every time I hear Ramsey say Sansa in that creepy way it reminds me of Hannibal Lecter when he says Clarice's name. Lol
SHIVERS. down. my. spine.
As much as I love watching your reactions to Game of Thrones, I really have two reasons to keep coming back. 1. Your reactions are raw...no holding back and no adding fake stuff. 2. Because you remind me of me, and probably other watchers. It tore out our hearts and demolished our spirits and made our minds go numb. What a show!!!
21:01 "Ahh ah ah! Okay. That's horrific. I think I've found that forceful tearing of human is . . . (shudders)."
The next time you break a celery stalk, as movie foleys do to imitate the tearing of flesh or the breaking of bones, perhaps you'll recall this scene.
Aww, not the premature mourning of Jon, LOL. I could watch reactions to this episode all day, it's such a banger.
he is top 3 characters for me for sure. I adore him and always expect this show to rip him from me.
@@LippsReacts I get it! We know this show doesn't GAF about our feelings! 🤣
right?! I've found that I will literally settle for way less than the bare minimum and it always makes for interesting reactions because why in the world would i be happy for so little?! Just happy to be here 😂
It's like surviving a MOSHPIT BACK IN THE EIGHTIES AND NINETIES
Remember how Dany says Yara is just asking not demanding for independence & save that for later when more of her hypocrisy shows itself.
Your ending chats are great! Your thoughts are what makes your reaction unique! That and the kitty sightings 😻
Love your reactions🎉😁Keep up the good work💪🏻
Waiiiit this is so kind!! This is deeply appreciated. Thank you for the support and for enjoying this series with me!
Did you notice the shield Jon used to block the arrows? House Mormont 1 of 62. 😁
I'm so ready to see your mind blow in the season finale, best episode ever!
Remember Sansa originally tells Jon at Castle Black "we have to go back and save them both". Winterfell AND Rickon. But now she admits she knew all along that Ramsey would never let Rickon get away. She just says this now to manipulate Jon into doing what she wants. She doesn't want to look foolish if Littlefinger doesn't show so she lies vs let Jon know they just need to wait a day or two for them to arrive/get a return raven. By then if they heard nothing they would know he wasn't coming. But Sansa got mad (rightfully) at Littlefinger... but she blew her "cover" with him & she couldn't know if he would "bite" at the chance to get back in her good graces. Jon is ready to die fighting for Rickon & Winterfell for honor & principle - because it's what a brother does.
Exactly. Jon HAS to go try. Him riding towards his brother fighting for him HAS to be the last thing his little brother sees. Not Jon waiting & watching him die because it's more strategic.
You're correct when talking about your alterations of your outros. Yes, that is when you can and should go into depth of your thoughts and feelings, instead of doing so just after an impactful scene. I've seen too many reactors go long on a comment while watching and miss an important point. A point that will have later relevance.
The shot of Jon taking out his sword + the music ripped my heart out the first time I watched it, straight into the immediate battle SHOOK me. It brought me right back to that to see you go through the same. This episode is very 😟😢😡😭😱😭😲🧐🤔🥹🤬🥳 then 😏🖕🏼😏🖕🏼
Editing this battle scene was so hard because I was in such awe and turmoil. It is so good, thank you for sharing in this with me
@@LippsReacts that stunned silence alone is the reaction we're here for! I can't wait for the finale. What an absolute masterpiece and rollercoaster
Run Forest run!! Zig Rickon zag!
I don't usually listen to all the commentary at the end of these, but found myself zoned out at the end of yours on this one. Good stuff especially about John's team being willing to follow him in even if a mistake.
Seeing the Stark flag fly over Winterfell again gets me so emotional! Considering everything they've been through these past 6 seasons, it's about fucking time, and it feels so amazing to be home!!
Thank you, Lipps, for the best reaction of this episode that I've seen!
The range of emotions on your face were a wild rollercoaster. This episode is epic!
I agree with you: Sansa's and Jamie Lannister's character arcs are my favorite.
The most brutal battle, maybe ever, ever! Peak GoT episode imho. Next episode is peak too. And of course the good old Red Wedding 😏👌
HONEY CANCEL MY PLANS!!!! Lipps uploaded BoB! 🎉
probably one of my favorite episodes in the entire series
The last two of s6 are my favorites! Incredible@@LippsReacts
@@LippsReacts Just waiting for the next one! 💀💀💀 Cheers from Brasil!
when you said ramsay gets under your skin and it’s exactly what he wants, i’m not sure if you meant he wants to annoy you, or if you were making a very clever pun considering what he does to ppl
I know you’ve already watched it, but hoping you’re drinking wine for your episode 10 reaction - I will have a glass, and look forward to watching your reaction! One of the best episodes of the series.
I’m so glad the season six finale is next for you!! Love your reactions! ☺️
We all love this show .. that's why we are watching people we don't know react to it many years later haha. This episode had me sitting on the edge of my seat which was a recliner lol, when Jon was stuck in the pile and trying to get to the top I couldn't breathe and I thought for sure he was def gonna die this in this episode. Sansa getting Ramsey is for all of us that were done wrong by someone ... her smile as she walks away .. haha My fave season is 4 but every season has good / great moments even season 8 that we had to wait 2 years for after season 7 lol
I am as excited to watch your next reaction as i was to watch the next episode back during season 5-6
Sansa learned how to play the game
Rickon Stark's favorite boy band? One Direction.
Who let the dogs out? Sansa. Sansa let the dogs out ;)
By the end of the last ASOIAF book, Rickon is pushing 6.
Oh for all the Old and New Gods, Ramin's Piano is coming
We don't know the books end when jon snow is laying in the snow dying...there was more to Rickon in the books as he wasn't with the Umbers he was on the island of skagos with a type of wildling tribe
I LOVE the battle of the Bustards. But Ser Davos is my man. 🙂🙂
Buenas Noches, There is no battle like that of the Bastards
There is no better resolution and chapter than Winds of Winter, you will have to pause a couple of times and talk about your feelings, I would love 💙❄&🔥´♬
I enjoy your reactions. My input on Rickon in the books--all 6 of the Stark kids are wargs and it comes out through their wolves, so Rickon is a bit wild and uncontrollable, as a child rarely supervised from age 4 with a wolf he sometimes inhabits would be. But he is not a PoV character, so we do know him less well. In the books he is still off with Osha.
I love how you see Sansa for how strong she is and what a survivor she is. She’s been through hell and she’s DONE letting men control her. She’s gonna do what she thinks is best for the north PERIOD. I love my girl Sansa ❤❤
I love your reaction, they are full of emotions ❤❤❤
Thank you for watching!!
Ni por su abuelita lloró tanto
Best episode, Jon is my favorite character!
I LOVE Jon!!
PS RICKON WHY DID YOU NOT ZIGZAGGGGG WTFFF
10:13 incredibly STARK you say?? Lol
hahaha my choice of words there fascinated me while editing ngl
arya's story it's the one i like must 😁
Not for nothing, Jon was so stupid this episode
🎉🎉🎉 YES!
Greatest episode in television history but I think Sansa was completely in the wrong.
Someone else said she should have told Jon the cake was coming and I 100% agree with that
Woot woot
it's so good watching from season 1 to 6, too bad there are no season 7 & 8. just 6 almost perfect seasons.
😂😭
Y'all really be doing the most, LOL. There are some good scenes and episodes in the last 2 seasons, they're not both a TOTAL wash.
@@taneshah.1260people love the hate bandwagon, it's not nearly as bad as people say. The writing was on the wall for many decisions and character arcs but book purists just get mad. There are some blunders but it's still good.
agreed with this. I have highs and lows from the last 2 seasons. and will be interested to discuss the finale with y'all but deff not a total wash for me
@@johnlee4412people weren’t mad about who ended up in power, Danys downfall, and stuff like that. It was the drop in dialogue, not tying up many loose ends, characters making decisions to forward the plot that were completely out of line with their characters, and people receiving zero consequences for their actions unlike in the earlier seasons which just made the suspense, which was always very high in the earlier seasons, drop to zero.
I still enjoyed watching most of 5-6 and many moments in 7-8, and I think many over exaggerate when they say the show isn’t even worth watching at those points, but it went from being perhaps the greatest of all time shows in seasons 1-4 to feeling like I’m watching an average marvel movie or just “a bit better than average tv”
A good example of what I mean is look at this reactors reaction to season 6x8. She, like most other people who watched the show, were super worried for all the characters we like in the earlier seasons; even in scenes were people were just having conversations it felt like things could flip at any moment and nobody was safe. But in 6x8 when Arya was stabbed in the gut multiple times and tossed in a dirty canal, it didn’t even cross her or most viewers minds that Arya might be dead, it was just “I wonder how she’s gonna get out of this one”
Same with 7x6 with the beyond the wall trip with most the fan favourite characters. I watched it with like 10 friends (most weren’t book readers)
and even though all the characters were trapped in the middle of nowhere by the entire white walker army there was just zero suspense that something might happen. Everyone knew a deus ex machina would take place and Dany would come to save the day despite how absurd the logistics of that were.
And when Jon got left behind with the WW army, again, nobody was worried for his safety or thought he might die. Before it happened everyone called that Benjin or Dany would show up at the last second to deus ex machina again and save the day.
I wasn’t a book reader but when I think back to the best moments of the show, literally almost every single scene in the first 4 seasons hit. You’d get goosebumps just listening to any random two characters having a conversation. Varys and Tyrion talking about the sorcerer, Arya and Tywin talking, Varys and Littlefinger, Brienne and Jamie, etc.
The later seasons just didn’t have that same level of dialogue, and many of the greatest dialogue moments were just rewordings of things said earlier in the seasons.
It like G.R.R.M. said about the intelligent characters. Pretty much every quip or retort from Tyrian or Littlefinger, which was how they talked and thought all the time since they were written to be geniuses, would often take George weeks to come up with. The writers ran out of source material and they didn’t take/have the time to write the intelligent characters properly.
Again I still think the later seasons are good but just “good” compared to the first 4-6 feels like a massive drop off (because it is)
U have such beautiful hair😍
Stop crying
