I have been looking forward for this. Also King Jahaerys was Daemon, Viserys's, Rhaenys's Grandfather not father. Daemon and V's Father, was Baelon and the second eldest son to Jahaerys. Rhaenys's father was called Aemon was Heir to the throne. Hugh's mother the sister to Baelon and Aemon, she was disowned because of her sexual appetite. Also, the dragons Hugh and Ulf claimed are their grandparents dragons. Both Hugh and Ulf come from Jahaerys and his wife Alysanne. Vermithor (Hugh's dragon) was Jahaerys's and Silverwing (Ulf's dragon) was Alysannes.

@@TheLastReelbender Oh, I would answer her call, but I wouldn't volunteer to go first, that's stupid. I would let others try and claim him, let the dragon have a quick snack, then try and claim him (like what Hugh did)

How is jace selfish? Aint he the one getting allies for the blacks? The Starks, Arryn & Freys. Also, he has valid reasons to be upset, whats stopping those 2 new silver haired dragon riders from switching sides? Both of them also has bigger dragons than BOTH Jace and Rhaenyra... they also got valid claims to challenge Jace for the Throne, Hugh being a cousin for Vis and Daemon & Ulf being their half brother. This is the reason Jace wanted Highborn riders, cause they can still bond with a dragon but their claim for the throne is weak since their royal targ blood is mixed with many families.

What I meant by “selfish” is exactly that - now it is time for the blacks to get as much power/fighters as they can and maybe thinking about succession and blood purity shouldn’t be the first priority. “Cross the bridge when you come to it” type of thing, you know? Anyways, that was my initial thought at the moment of watching the episode but I see your point! I didn’t even think about them possibly switching sides - they seem pretty loyal to me, at least Addam and Hugh. Ulf is sus, to be honest:))) Thanks for sharing your opinion!
