I looked at the back of my truck and had no idea of how to get to the bad brake light. 2 minutes into this excellent video and I'm in business. Got the problem fixed for $7.50 and got an extra bulb to boot. Thank you so much for the great video.
Thank you for the clear instructions. I had no idea how to do it and I don't have time to call around and make an appointment at an auto shop. Clicked the link to Amazon, bulbs arrived at my door and done.
Best video out there. I watched them all. It has all the little extra details to make sure you do a good job and very clear instructions. I ordered the complete assembly new from EBay for $35. It should have taken five minutes, but my assembly was smashed so it took me a little longer having to get the broken plastic parts separated from the bolts with vise grips. Then I put it in and the bolts were spinning, so I took it out again and saw there were no threads and looked at the old one and and saw there should have been metal clips with a threaded part on it. So I had to get a thin screwdriver to pop those off of the old assembly and put them on the new assembly. So it ended up taking me ten minutes, mostly walking back and forth and looking for tools. I'm not sure I would have tried if I hadn't watched this video because it was such a nightmare on my old car. But this was super easy. Thanks!
Very well explained. I like that you showed what you DON’T have to remove (that 3rd bolt). I also like that explain it’s easier to work on it if you remove the whole taillight.
It’s a little different on the driver side if there’s a backup camera wired if there’s a backup camera then all of the bulb have to removed but you don’t have to disconnect the wiring harness on my 2015 Tacoma driver side was that passenger side was wiring harness disconnect
In the first part of the video you screwed off the bolts, my issue is that my bolts are rusted and stuck, keeps turning and rusted, any advice how to remove that? Thanks, any links would helps thanks so much. I’ve searched and searched :(
my left taillight doesn't illuminate as a brake light, but it does work as a taillight when headlights are on. do you think it could be a bad bulb? right light works fine.
$69.99 online, $153.00 Auto Palace, $257.00, Auto Zone (or vise versa)...just for the part, drivers side. Huge cash savings DIY, but shop around for best price!

You didnt blow out the dust and dirt in the light assembly or put on any bulb contact grease.
