    It’s a sports edition mdx. Everything is lower, transmission is tuned, and that’s why the wheel base is bigger. Please know it before doing a review. I have one and love it.

    I have a 2016 MDX and was thinking of trading in for a new Highlander but with car prices the way they are I'll keep my 2016 MDX

    Better to wait until it receives the kick ass RDX infotainment. Current system was stupid even when it came out. Cute fam btw.

    The sh-awd of the MDX Aspec works a lot tq vectoring in regular or sporty driving. It makes the MDX feel more agile and drives smaller than it looks. Acura finally got the interior right with the +22 MDX; but, dropped the hybrid option.

    I would like for car reviews to include what type of gas car would use ? Regular,plus,Super? This would definitely make me make a decision on buying a car.

    Why would 290 hp need premium fuel,most other V6 engines out there make around the same power with regular

    When you stand next to the vehicle, vehicle height seems to be pretty low. Do like lower weight distribution

    When a MDX is being compared to a Highlander it’s a sign that Acura really needs to step their game up. Yikes!

  • @zakm4012
    @zakm4012 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Why are you comparing it to a Highlander? They don’t fall under the same category.

      They are both 3 row AWD family haulers. I considered the MDX when shopping for our 3 row

    • @EpicLemonMusic
      @EpicLemonMusic 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They both have the same horsepower/v6 and actually the Highlander suspension is softer which is more usual luxury, and the Mdx actually has less tech features so what is there to compare besides driving dynamics which is what he did.

    • @ethanovation
      @ethanovation 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Highlander is very expensive in its upper trims. You can get a base MDX for only a little more. We bought our 2016 MDX 2 yrs old, 30K miles, it was a returned lease... and it was 5K cheaper than a new Highlander XLE with more features.

    Premium is recommended but not required on MDX, that's how it beats Lexus in my opinion!

    Love your and Motormouth's reviews but why mention gas cost? No one who pays 70k for a car cares about gas prices. Saving $1.70 for a liter of gas is nothing compared to the $906 depreciation per month for the first four years.

    • @erikniemi1977
      @erikniemi1977 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not totally true. I've got a T6 Volvo that was in the mid 60's new. I got it because I love having the power of 325hp and 354 torque...but I do notice when the costs of gas go up and down. Some of us do spend more on our cars than we probably should because we like driving. High gas prices means we can drive less. We all have a budget even if we spend too much to buy the car in the first place:)

    • @glenf4115
      @glenf4115 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Erik Niemi lets keep personal feelings or justification out of the financial equation. comparatively speaking if you are not leasing (Leasing is just paying the depreciated amount) or if your company isn’t paying for your new car: If you had to pay the $906 depreciation amount per month to the dealership (or some other place) on top of your regular car payment and insurance, fuel is inconsequential in comparison.

      @@glenf4115 Maybe buying new but many people like myself watch these reviews because we are considering a used MDX. I can choose a 2017 Highlander or MDX for about the same price. This review is very relevant. I would prefer a more premium car but on my budget premium fuel pushed the decision closer to the Highlander. I have owned a used 04 MDX and loved it and people were driving them (as I did) on regular fuel despite premium recommendation. Not sure these 3rd ben MDX would be ok with regular fuel. So to say because someone can afford this vehicle, they don't care about gas prices is wrong.
