      You're welcome! We have made several xTool related videos thus far and intend to make more. We are beginners at this as well and hope we are able to teach others about the successes and failures we have run into while working with the M1 and the xTool Creative Space software. We wish to take this moment to thank you for taking the time to watch our video and for leaving a comment. We sincerely appreciate it. 😊

    Great instructional video both.
    I won't be buying an M1 as I have my eye on a LaserPecker 2 which would be very useful for what I make.
    I did enjoy this video and you both have an ability to impart knowledge to someone so it is easily understood.

      @@Poor_Mans_DIY I just watched your video. It was very helpful and informative. I am ready though to move on to the next step....and that is importing svg files that I have already kept for use on my cricut maker. How do Import an svg file to a new project is the xcs?

    • @Poor_Mans_DIY
      @Poor_Mans_DIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kdkusmc That is a great question. You will not believe how easy it is. All you have to do is open XCS, then drag and drop your SVG file onto the XCS canvas. There are two other ways to accomplish this. you can click on the File button at the top left of XCS, then scroll down and select Import Image, then locate and select your SVG file. The last method is to click on the Image icon/button on the top left of XCS, navigate to where your SVG file is located then select it. I hope this helps. :-)

    Hi, I like your video - very useful for a beginner like me. Although, I have no idea how you made disappear the background from the cut out snowflake, as no matter what sort of image I use I can cut out the required area, but cannot make the shape/image background to disappear even I am following your video step by step. I've printed out a snowflake, to do this, then scanned a pawprint from a flat object, used another file, etc. but I've found no way to make disappear a white or other coloured background even from simple monochrome images. Any idea of yours, where I've gone wrong, please?

      I am so sorry this did not work for you. May i trouble you to send the snowflake image to our email at poormansdiy@hotmail.com? I will test it and provide you with additional instructions if i get it to work.

    Can you please tell me how to draw a curve line on xtool creative space please

    • @Poor_Mans_DIY
      @Poor_Mans_DIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have made a way to create a curve but it is somewhat tedious. First I create a circle that consists of the curve that I want to create. I then create another circle and place the edge of the second circle at the end of the curve that I want to make. I then use the Combine feature that will erase the second circle and parts of the first circle , up to the end of the curve I want to make. I repeat this on the other end of the curve. This is a crazy long way to do it. I would recommend using on online free image editing software to create the curve as a JPG or PNG pile and then import it into XCS. I will probably be easier. I am sorry I am unable to offer an easier solution. I would not be surprised if someone knows how to properly draw curves.

      I am sorry but I do not have a definitive answer. You may have to reach out to xTool support directly. If I were in your shoes, I would uninstall the program, reboot and reinstall to see if it picks up the material list.

    Great video! I have a question.. when I do text..my text shows up way off from my creative space area...it's wa over to right...I'm not sure how to get it back over into that area...I want the box to pop up in the creative space area. Any suggestions?

    • @Poor_Mans_DIY
      @Poor_Mans_DIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ms Karen, we are so happy you enjoyed the video. As for the trouble you are experiencing, my initial thought is you are uploading a text (image) file that was created outside of Creative Space. If this is the case, I would first try to hold down your "Ctrl" key and use your mouse wheel to scroll up or down. This will zoom in and out. You should then be able to find and move your letters to the print area. Have you used XCS to type text or do you use text created elsewhere. If you only use text created elsewhere, try typing letters using XCS itself and see if the letters appear on screen or off. It using XCS causes the problem, I would uninstall the program, restart the computer, and reinstall XCS to see if the problem has been resolved. If this still does not correct the problem, I would recommend you reach out to the xTool helpdesk. Please let me know if I can help further.

    is there a way to take a design made in xtool design space and download it as a pdf?

    • @Poor_Mans_DIY
      @Poor_Mans_DIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ms Holly, I am sorry but I am only aware of xTool Creative Space being able to export files to .XCS format, which can only be read by xTool Creative Space (XCS). There might be a time consuming option in which you take a screen capture of the image in XCS and manipulate the captured image in a photo editor, which can then be converted to PDF. If you have additional questions, please feel free to reach out again and we will do our best to provide a proper resolution.
