That's what I'm saying. The show is supposed to have a darker tone and target at older audiences "where things like whimsy and darkness can coexist" like Dana wanted to. Watching and Dreaming's ending (after defeating Belos) has a flaw. I mean, it was awesome and I loved that Luz and Amity got to stay together. However, there were no hard decisions, no difficult moments, no consequences, everyone was just happy and everything was perfect. The characters deserved all of this, but I felt something should have been lost for them to overcome and grow even with a big change. This is how the children's shows look like, that means no deaths, no tragic endings, no seriousness, and no resentment. Always happily ever after and quickly forgiveness. I hope you get my point.
@@willumity6066 I must respectfully disagree on a a few points. First, no deaths, what about Flapjack and King's dad? Second, no difficult moments/no seriousness, Luz sacrificed herself to protect the Collector and then Eda and King almost got themselves killed trying to avenge her, all the while the Collector was having a panic attack and the world was being consumed around them. Third, no resentment or loss, Belos wasn't forgiven, he was melted and stomped to death. Odalia also didn't get redeemed at the end. Also it's not like there were no lasting costs. Eda and Lilith never got their magic back, and the former still very much lost her arm. There was also the point about how the glyphs, that Luz had spent months mastering, ended up gone so she lost that. On top of that, I think it's important to factor in that the final happy ending we see was after a four year timeskip so it's not like they were able to rebuild all that in a week. I do see where you're coming from and yeah they obviously could have gone further and/or darker with some things, but I don't think they really needed to. Like I honestly would have hated if a scene like this comic had been in the show.
Actually, it seems like Luz wanted to break up with Amity in episode. I bet she wanted to say about it in 'For the future' after Amity said 'At least we will be all together. Right, Luz?', but was interrupted by Kikimora. It would have explain why Luz being to distant and cold to her, and why she was struggling with her feelings about her (Like when she first looks at her with blush and smile and next second goes absolutely depressed, when they arrive in Demon Realm and Amity was greeting abomination goo, playing with it, and Luz was admiring her)
Too bad that never happened, cause Disney wants everything to be lighthearted only for 2-11 ages, that's what children's shows should be like, that means no deaths, no tragic endings, no seriousness, and no resentment. Always happily ever after and quickly forgiveness. I hope you get my point.

The alternate version where the show writers wanted to make things angsty, overly dramatic, and not like how real healthy relationships should work.

@ I can't believe Disney messes things up, wanting to make shows for preschoolers.
An alternate universe if Amity didn't forgive Luz.
This is what Luz thought would happen if she told Amity. Luckily, Amity isn’t like that.
That wouldn’t have happened. Amity would forgive Luz because she knows what Luz’s is like.
@ agreed
@ thank you my fellow Lumity fan

True, but the fans won't like to see their N°1 ship breaking.
Eh that sounds edgy
