I am sorry, but I will back this statement up for the rest of my life. Fans are better at creating scenes between between characters in any series better than the actual creators
While this is very much true fur Steven universe (since Sugar was too high and mighty to hire anyone as script writers), it cannot be said for every single piece of media that has been made. It's not even true for most of them. Owl house fan comics, while hilarious and adorable, still come a bit short of the show itself, for example.

Wow this is incredibly well put together, from the voice acting to the animation, this took dedication and effort and it was entirely worth it. I absolutely love this.
People are hating on the impressions and like fair they don't sound that close to the original, mostly for Peridot, but like that's kind of what I like about things like these. People putting their heart and soul and voice into these projects, instead of striving to perfectly replicate the original. Don't get me wrong, as someone who's not fully watched Steven Universe and only watched clips this is a canon interaction between Lapis and Peridot in my eyes. It's just like if all these people ask for perfect recreation that's what they'll get, even if it ruins the value as a fan art in the process. Plus you did a good Peridot impression. It wasn't 100% accurate persay but it sounds nice.
This was incredibly well written and voiced and honestly the creator of this beloved series should see it and understand the time and effort it took to produce such a great piece. I have shipped these two since seeing the series and apart from some producer or whatever claiming Peridot wouldn't even go down this path romantically, I highly disagree and Lapidot for life. And yeah this is my first time seeing this so I am typing this all out while it is fresh on my mind. Anyway great work here. Rebecca Sugar has indicated some interest in possibly returning to the series sometime down the line so hoping Lapidot becomes canon.

The characters, the dialog, feels like it’s from the show! This is amazing, I love how you show their personality in their expressions, even the subtle movements & hands are really nice ^^ It’s funny, the issue I always found with lapidot was people sweeping everything lapis did under the rug. Whether it be act like nothing happened, or have peridot be worryingly eager to forgive, the ship always felt fake and sometimes even toxic to me. It’s super refreshing to see something where they do talk it out, they figure out their issues rather then run from them. Amazing work! 👏
Oh my gosh this is perfect. This scenario is exactly what I was looking for to happen in canon but unfortunately we never got a resolution for that arc. This is so amazing though! I've been a fan of your work for years and just found this, both characters are handled wonderfully. Love your art!
Y'all don't even know how much i wish this was canon 😭😭 Like... they actually needed a confrontation due what happend, the writers just maked Lapis re-appear out of nowhere (ik when and why she came back, but...ykwim) and from that on everything seemed back to normal, as if she didn't abandon everyone and took the barn with her. (Btw loved this, lapidot forever)
This is my favourite take on Lapidot, I see a lot of them making them run from their past and then smooch smooch but I don’t think that’s what would happen especially in a show like Steven Universe.
