I listen to Blues on Sirus XM BB King’s Bluesville Channel everyday. I my humble opinion you are the real deal. I enjoy your guitar playing but it’s your voice that really seals the deal. You just don’t sing the blues you feel the blues. You are a natural.
Evan Nicole Ball you are definitely most interested and greatest musician in the game right now also you're music is super fantastic too glad I'm support you and your music keep it up bug superstar ⭐️⭐️🤗
I hope she will play more slide. One of the goals to reach is - in my humble opinion - the lap style slide recorded by Gitfiddle Jim (Kokomo Arnold) performing his "Paddlin' Madeline Blues" (1930). Now there are three versions of this Leiber/Butler song I love: the New Orleans original by Alvin Robinson, the Rainbow Girls rendition (recorded live in the fields - the one with the starting tractor in the end) and this one. The vocal here is very impressive. The first time I - a Dutch European - heard the song was in 1965 on the second LP of The Rolling Stones. I found the original - and the originals of many other songs on their first albums - later. Nicole Bell honoured - among others - Bessie Smith, Koko Taylor, the magnificent Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Willie Mae "Big Mama" Thornton (the original :"Hound Dog" - not the "cleaned" Elvis version). But I couldn't find a cover of a Memphis Minnie Blues. One of the greatest of the women Blues artists - again: in my humble opinion. Perhaps it's there and I have to look again ... and better ...
I knew I'd heard this song before. Now I remember, the version I heard was by The Coasters. Definitely a few years ago. I do believe I like this better.
Great call and response between the Dobro and your vocals...soul for days my friend! Have you ever covered Taj Mahal or Keb Mo? I do a cover of Take a Giant Step that I think you'd crush. Taj's guitarist Jesse Ed Davis was a slide maestro!
I'd been thinking it was a while that I hadn't checked on you. Good thing I did as I love me some dobro, slide, and blues. Ok, now I'll take some time to check out Runaway Girl. As usual, I enjoy your whole vibe playing and singing.
Nice choice! I like the subtle changes you’ve made with your voice. It sounds deeper and more musical. This is a favorite tune of mine. I’ve been listening to a Tom Petty version he did on Austin City Limits.
❤🔥 Listen now to my debut EP, "Runaway Girl," available on all streaming platforms, online music retailers, and my website! lnk.to/runaway-girl ❤🔥

I haven’t! I need to get into their discographies
I love your voice.

Angel
So fabulous! And I love when you sing in front of Christmas trees. ❤
☺️🎄✨
🎸🎙️👍💖
💗💗💗
and you play slide too?!?! Man!
☺️
Coasters are nice, but they improve when there is a cup of hot black with a bit of sweetness in it. Lethal smile!
Those deep notes ring... being a blues contralto is a tall order... Think of Ma Rainey or Bessie Smith...

Love this song! Have you heard the Rainbow Girls version?
yep, if you read my description you’ll see they were the inspiration for this cover!
If not already you might want to meet Kevin Davey White and Justin Johnson.
Needs more cowbell.
