Fun Fact: the Umibozu becomes gold in Pikmin 3 upon its transformation into the Plasm Wraith because it dissolves and absorbs the gold plating from Olimar's ship. That's why the ship is no longer gold when you find it crashed in Pikmin 3.
The Waterwraith Louie's Notes are a joke. "Known to cause mass hysteria, followed by leg spasms and internal thunderings." Causes mass hysteria; you see the Waterwraith, you freak out. Leg spams. @@bulborb8756 Yeah but that would have meant he had tried it despite it being ineatible. That's only more evidence that he tried to inject the water wraith.
Pikmin 2 includes branded items found on Earth as well as an entire globe with all geographic and political boundaries of Earth and the ship confirms that it is of the planet. The Pikmin series absolutely takes place on Earth, not an Earth-like planet.
Pikmin 2 (and 1) are implied to take place on an Earth with familiar geography (note that a 20th-century globe allows the ship to navigate the planet), while in Pikmin 3 we see evidence of a sudden timeskip on the scale of hundreds of millions of years, based on the dramatically different arrangement of continents. Pikmin 3 also features a relative absence of artifacts of human civilization, and notably very different fauna in some cases. Because time is relative between two sufficiently faraway places, it must hold that a staggeringly geologic amount of time passed between Olimar's departure from the planet at the end of Pikmin 2 and his return prior to the events of Pikmin 3, while a relatively infinitesimal amount of time apparently passed from the perspective of Hocotate.
@@discountchocolate4577 hm, wonder if that would explain the lack of purple and white pikmin in the main game. Perhaps they evolved into the rock and flying pikmin?
Alph: wow look at how incredibly designed this creature is Brittany: I wonder if we domesticate it, how convenient will it be for us? Charlie: I’ve discovered the creature’s weakness and here is how we can defeat it Olimar: there are a lot of interesting facts about the creature Louie: “Hungry! Hungry! Pour food on my pile!”
Finding out that Louie was the bad guy when I was a kid was soooooo cool! It made me want to save him and 100% the game to figure out why he is who he is. To this day I still have the image of Louie standing on a leaf with his evil look on his face. When I was a kid I thought he was sad, but after the bonus missions I realized it was actually an evil look. Because of that, Pikmin will always be one of my favorite Nintendo franchises!
One thing about the Geiger counter- Olimar begins his note about it when he finds it on the surface, before ever moving it. This means it had already gone off several times before he ever crashed. This makes sense because there can be waves of intense radiation in space. Knowing that you're heading near a star that's having a storm and spewing a lots of rads (well, more than normal, anyway) out is pretty important to staying alive; that's what makes it a key part. That he doesn't know what it does is still frightening due to neglecting a critical aspect of surviving in space, but it doesn't mean the earth was nuked into next week and it can't reasonably be taken as evidence for such. That doesn't mean there *wasn't* a nuclear Armageddon, mind- something happened to wipe humanity out. I assume/hope Olimar's ships are shielded against heavy radiation (it's one of those things that's important for long distance space travel), and that's why he could afford to ignore it. The alternative is not something I wish to think about.
Also it wasn't just humans who were whipped out. Something whipped out everything else too leaving huge gaps in the ecosystem which allowed for mass.evolution and more mutations to take place to fill those gaps. Maybe. Either way pikmin 2 has instances that confirm it is definitely earth.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the treasure seeking device in pikmin 2 also a geigner counter? This would suggest every item on the world is radia active, nd that bug thing that can mind control pikmin is especially radioactive if this is true, since he disturbes the shit out of that counter.
The treasure detector in Pikmin 2 was a Love Tester. If memory serves it tested electric flow between two people to judge "compatibility", but definitely not radiation.
Louie being the cause of the starvation is more than likely not a thing. I kind of remember the Pikmin 3 crew's race not able to eat vegetable and only fruit.
They can eat vegetables they're just vehemently against it because they think it's gross. They even think hocatations are weirdos for eating them. Well jokes on you, those weirdos aren't the ones starving you picky bastards.
Pikmin 2 DEFINITELY had the best story. It was about the debt, but it also included Louie's life. Louie was raised by his grandparents, supposedly because his actual parents died, andhis grandma used to force him to eat bugs outside, which is engraved into his personality when he gets older, making him be slightly quiet all the time. Then, Louie is left behind by Olimar, which makes Louie go crazy. He then takes over a Titan Dweevil and tries to kill Olimar and the President with it. This is proven by the fact that the Titan Dweevil is only targeting captains, and in the Piklopedia entry on Louie, the ship says Louie highjacked the Titan Dweevil's brain. Pikmin 2 is definitely the best game in the franchise, for MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY reasons, and definitely has the best story too.
Concept: Pikmin, Kirby 64, and Splatoon are part of the same timeline. Explanation: Humans destroy the earth through nuclear fire (as explained in Splatoon 1's story mode collectibles) and essentially wipe themselves out. Horrible radiation and flooding (due to melting of polar ice caps, also from Splatoon 1) turns all life on it's head, mutating all all creatures and shuffling the deck of what makes for a dominant species. Aquatic creatures like fish, amphibians, crustaceans, invertebrates, etc.mutate and evolve to become new terrestrial species, reptiles become heavily mutated due to erratic changing of their ecosystems and residual radiation, most flying creatures like birds and insects stay generally unaffected, and most mammals and primates gradually die out. This is about where the Earth shown in Pikmin starts. Remnants of the human world still remain like junk, trash, and their technology; as shown throughout the games and the short films. The inclusion of Kirby 64 is a bit of a stretch, but there is some ground to it. The fifth world you visit is known as "Shiver Star", a frozen-over world that bears a striking resemblance to Earth. Not much else is known about this world, other than it's original inhabitants had to leave, it's factories still remain functioning, and is perpetually run by robots. While it could still fit that this is the same post-apocalyptic Earth as Pikmin and Splatoon, it's difficult to say where it would be set on the timeline. On, one hand since the factories are still functioning and there are still technically ice caps, perhaps it's before the Pikmin timeline, putting it at the very start of the timeline. On, the other hand ice ages take centuries to reach the level of disaster SS seems to have, and for the ice caps to be nuked humans would still need to be there. Or, the third option that seems the most likely is that the world is going through some kind of nuclear winter that blows over sometime before the Pikmin timeline. By the time this world gets to Splatoon era, or known in the game as the mollusk era, humans and the remnants of their world for the most part have been long gone, squids and octopuses rise as the dominant species of this world constantly warring with each other over land, they base their technology off of human scrap objects and recycle it for their own purposes, most water kills inklings and octolings because it's all freshwater due to the melted ice-caps (squids and octopuses are saltwater creatures, only pure saltwater is very rare; most water is either freshwater or brackish), their own cultures develop, and society and civilization is about where we are now. The only things that remain from our society are Judd and Lil' Judd (two cats frozen in cryostasis), pigeons, Tartar (an AI developed with the intent to observe the world and help it; it becomes disillusioned with Inkling and Octoling society and tries to wipe the slate clean again, calling their disputes over "freshness" and minor differences in species petty and childish), a blender (Tartar's method to try and create the perfect specimen of primordial ooze), a statue heavily resembling Hermes (again, part of Tartar's plan to wipe out the world; they converted it into some kind of cannon), human fossils, and the domes in Octo Valley (which were believed to have been built by humans as shelters to survive the floods); no other buildings, recognizable objects, no recognizable culture, etc. The only hiccup in this idea is the timeframe between the three games and the time of humans. In Splatoon, it's stated that humans "once populated the world 12000 years ago". That can be justified saying that all humans died out at roughly that time; that they nuked the ice-caps, some survived the flood, and the rest gradually died off. Also, we don't know how inklings and octolings measure time compared to how we do. They most likely don't use our calendar. What could be a day to us could be a week to them. They probably don't have the same names for months or days. Weeks might last 10 days, months might last 50 days. They could have 9 months, they could have like 15. One thing that helps Splatoon fit in is that we've never seen an actual global map of the world, so it's up to interpretation to what the current landmasses look like. TL:DR - our world ---> nuclear war ---> nuclear winter ---> humans die out ---> Kirby 64 Shiver Star ---> nuclear winter ends ---> animals and plants mutate drastically ---> Pikmin 1, 2, and 3 ---> almost all remnants of human culture and society disappears ---> squids and octopuses evolve to become dominant species ---> Splatoon 1 and 2
12,000 years isn't nearly long enough for the landmasses to change that much, so maybe pikmin comes after splatoon? In the recent trailer for splatoon 3, the Eiffel Tower was clearly shown tipped over, so the remnants of human culture hadn't completely vanished yet.
One can make juice out of carrots, basically the same thing the main characters of Pikmin 3 do with all the fruits they get in the game. I mean yes, carrots aren't fruit, but desperate times call for desperate measures!
@@gbainite I believe it's first brought up when you get Britney for the first time and check in with the captains on the ship. Alph even mentions that if they ate vegetables then they wouldn't have to go to the planet

The darkest 1st party series are Kirby, Pikmin, and Splatoon. Eldridge Abominations in a universe with numerous reality breaking beings and several races are extinct. Well I mean green pikmin could already be a thing since pikmin 2. Bulbmin are under control by parasitic pikmin and their leaves glow green so one could assume that the parasitic pikmin are in fact green.
Also Dorkly: "Never trust a Hocotatian when money is on the line!" (smiles) (Falls over unconscious after having their space-suit's sleep mode activated by the Plasm Wraith)
Y’know what’s weird when you encounter the scene with Olimar with the gold plasma wraith it was petting olimar’s glass helmet thingy it could’ve easily killed him but it decided to keep him there safe and was so focused on bringing him back to the original location in the ant hill thingy
When looking at Olimar's Description of the Plasm Wraith, he says that he felt a warm feeling when he was inside the Plasm Wraith's cube and that it treated him almost motherly. When Olimar is taken from the Plasm Wraith, it has a hole in it's cube (heart), so that means that it probably suffers from a broken heart when Olimar isn't with it (Captain Charlie also mentions that in his report on the Plasm Wraith)!
I highly recommend all three main series games if you have a Gamecube, Wii, or Wii U, and perhaps more importantly at least a couple free weekends to waste on resetting every time one of your pikmin dies.
I would like to point one thing out with arguement 1 While you don't see any people or cities, if Olimar is smaller than a bottle cap, than the game is a very small scale. The game basically takes place on a very tiny portion of the earth Probobly less than .5% the total land mass of earth, a very bad guesstamate.
@@sion8 their ship is so small that the scan probably didn't scanned the whole planet, maybe it only scanned the area that would be more easy to grab the materials they need
@@danielm.595 They are members of a species that can travel between the stars, I don't think the size of their ships would limit the scope of the scanners.
I have my personal theory considering the Wraith enemies: They are more like a manifestation of the will of the planet to be left alone given by its actions in pikmin 2 trying to kill the intruders, but as Olimar came to visit the planet frequently he inadvertently affected the planet by teaching pikmin self dependance and so he was considered a part of the planet's ecosystem which is why the plasm wraith in pikmin 3 cradles him like a baby instead of trying to murder him
The only exception of that would be Yoshi. Well except the speculation that Bowser was an orphan and was maybe kidnapped by Kamek as well. Hey, is there any lore to that?
Don't forget that Captain Charlie is a War Hero. Louie freaked out that he was taken prisoner by Koppaites, so it stands to reason that Hocotate and Koppai were at war in recent history.
Never realized that, good observation! That adds more layers to the dynamic between the Pikmin 3 and Pikmin 2 characters. When you consider that the Koppaites are in a dire planet-wide food crisis, you wonder whether Hocotate had anything to do with it...
If this is millions of years later, any spike in radiation from a nuclear war would have long since dropped to baseline. It would have to be some other source of radiation--like space caused as another commenter mentioned.
The Elephant's Foot in Chernobyl will emit radiation for as long as our species has existed. It's so radioactive it damages circuitry. It'll probably still be emitting radiation in the time of the first two games at least...
@@Wiimeiser Actually, the design of PNF-404 in Pikmin 3 is based on Pangea Ultima, which is a prediction of what the earth will look like in 250 million years. So if we go off of that, it could actually not be radioactive any more, at least from the nukes them selves. Though obviously one would have to wonder how all these artifacts managed to survive for this long, probably just not something they accounted for.
Pikmin 1 and 2 imply such a nuclear holocaust (or alternatively, anthropocene climate-driven extinction event) took place relatively recently (check the All Treasures ending cutscene in Pikmin 2, and east Asia and Australia are clearly visible on the planet right before "The End" appears in floral-style text), but Pikmin 3 should likewise in fact take place hundreds of millions of years later (from Earth's perspective, anyway). The apparent discrepancy is solved when you consider the rate of passage of time is inconsistent in different parts of space due to the curvature of spacetime.
@@discountchocolate4577 Yeah, but the issue I have with that is what it implies for the Hocotatians and Koppaites. If we take that stuff into account, wouldn't that mean they live for insanely longs times? That's a possibility, but imagine how long Olimar's family must've been waiting for him to come back, or how long Koppai was waiting for food. I personally believe it's more of just a retcon, but obviously we can't know for sure.

I feel as if the golden pikpik carrots WEREN'T supposed to go to Koppai because the crew members in Pikmin 3 say that they usually eat fruit and not vegetables. Sure, they could've been forced into a corner in that situation and had no choice, but still, it's not like they wanted to eat carrots to begin with.
Pikmin 4, Louie is the final boss, he can whistle your pikmin away from you and use them against you, You can do the same to him. It's a battle to see who the superior PikPik General is.
Koppaites are, as I understand, established to be strictly fructovores, which means the golden carrot delivery would not have solved Koppai's food shortage problem.
About the "post apocalyptic world" thing. All of the collectables like bottle caps, batteries and shoe polish etc. are "today" items suggesting that this Nuclear Armageddon happened during the 21st century
Except for the fact that the reason Koppai had a food crisis is explained in the beginning of the game, and that koppaites dislike vegetables, preferring to eat fruits, the Louie part is pretty accurate
I just want to see the Bowser Jr. Treatment for Olimar. I want all the captains to be the alternate skins for Olimar. This is similar to having the Alpha skin in the game. The missing captains are Louie, the President in Pikmin 2, Brittany, and Charlie. They can create Delta and another Captain, can hint to next game, as smash original characters.
Me before the video: Louie is my Favourite character and nothing you can say or do can change that. Tony: Louie is possessed by a water demon near the end of the Game. Waterwraith to Louie: *Think of yourself as my Ride~*
I recommend all of them! The first one is great, but the 2nd one is the best imo. 3rd is beautiful, fun, but much shorter than 2 (which had both a lot of content and more freedom, and of course the endgame), and since you do play with 3 captains it may be best to start with just 1 or 2 captains. Pacing wise, the first one is a time trial to get out in 30 days, the 2nd is you just working towards a goal (I've had runs reach over 700 days because I would just mess around and make more Pikmin) and the 3rd has some form of timer, as you need the fruit you gather to survive (there is generally plenty to keep you going if you focus on it, but this does make a cap on time more so than the 2nd). tl;dr The first game is one of the simpler ones, but also one of the more intense versions, as it gives you a set time to gather what you need Pikmin 2 gives you infinite time to collect treasure and has more mechanics, it has the most content with a choice on how you want to reach the goal, and an endgame Pikmin 3 is the prettiest by far, adds new mechanics (like a whopping 3 captains!) and while it doesn't have as much content, the boss at the end is a TOUGHIE.
The Umibozo theory originated from DazzReviews I believe. I am assuming you received the theory thanks to him and he does deserve credit, of course it isn't impossible for a big channel like yourself to find it floating around the internet thanks to the channel popularizing the theory and even might have came up with it yourselves. Maybe I can be wrong but Dazz really did make a pretty well crafted theory that deserves acknowledgment.
A Geiger can pick up naturally occurring radiation Tony! There are natural radiation events related to weather that can set off radiation detectors causing false indications in relation to what people would associate with high risk radiation.
I don't know about anyone else, but I want a Pikmin game that continues with the dark ending of the original Pikmin game where Olimar becomes a Pikmin. this could add more lore about why a sentient creature when sent through an onion becomes a "new" Pikmin, and this could also introduce more on the water creatures.
It’s interesting how instead of that “crashing” thing being just Louie it’s actually the classic duo on another mission because they left a whole spaceship.
for that nuclear theory, the note on the geigar counter implies that it went off occasionally before his crash not after. in pikmin 2 there is a snowman which implies there are at least some inteligent beings left. also most of the treasure they find in two are relatively new implying they were recently lost. so in the end it's much more likely that it's an alternate earth and they coincidently dont run into other humans or that the universe they are in is an alternate dimension and all the treasures and signs of humanity that are there are things that sorta fell into it. sorta like the place where things you lose go
No, when I think of Pikmin, I think of Umibozu, Louie being Satan, Purple T H I C C M I N, the amazing wildlife diversity and adaptations, and why humanity is dead now. Edit: Spoiler alert, the Umibozu is actually me the whole time and I'm just trying to make the timelines work out so that Nintendo sees the events of Pikmin through their time travel camera drones, so that I play them and think to transfer my consciousness into an amorphous water monster. I'm writing this in the future and sending it back in time so that if any other humans survive the great war of 2040 and the subsequent downfall of humanity by transferring their consciousness into amorphous water monsters, they know that I've got everything under control. Anyone who took that seriously, I respect you.
That Pikmin 4 teaser is no longer a Pikmin 4 teaser. In Pikmin 3 deluxe, you unlock a side story called Olimar's comeback, and it's Olimar and Louie that are in that ship crashing to PNF-404. rip
Here's MY pikmin lore: Olimar, an everyday salary man, is actually sick of working for his dipshit boss. He heads on a space vacation and gets fucking yeeting down to earth LONG after humans have gone extinct. If they were alive, they wouldn't be much help on account of olimar only being an inch tall. Olimar comes across what looks like a red colored onion that magically comes to life and sprouts out seeds revealing the so-called "Pikmin". Olimar uses these "friends" of his to recover the parts of his ship. Bad Ending: Olimar attempts to take off, fails, and died of poisonous oxygen..? Good Ending: Olimar manages to take off, ditch the Pikmin, land back on Hocotate only to find out that his company is in insane debt, his ship is sold off, and he is immediately sent back to Earth to find treasure. Oh, wait did I say good ending? So Olimar, and his newfound partner Louie, who is the whole reason they're in debt in the first place, reunite with the pikmin. There's some new faces this time around. Like orange bublorb. Fiery bublorb. Hairy Bulborb. AND THIS GOD-FORSAKEN CREATURE (water wraith). After collecting enough moneh to pay off the debt, Olimar heads back to Hocotate. But WHOOPS! We left Louie back on earth.. (shit.) In order to avoid a potential lawsuit, Olimar and his boss head back to earth. After the two weasel their way down a long and dangerous cave system, they find Louie on top of the game's final boss. But no, he's not IN danger, he IS the danger. Somehow, Louie descended through the hardest dungeon in the game, all by himself. Fuckin' jab locking Bulborbs into oblivion. He hacked in the game's final boss's brain, which he then COMMANDS TO ATTACK HIS FORMER COWORKERS. Unfortunately, Louie underestimated Pikmin Power and he lost the battle. Unaware of Louie's true intentions, Olimar and the Pikmin pack Louie's unconscious body back in the ship and head back to their planet. Due to booming hunger, booming populations, and a basic lack of planning, the planet Koppai is on the brink of ruin. As a last ditch attempt, three people are sent to earth to procure food. Thankfully, there's enough fruit, and enough unpaid workers to carry it all. But something goes horribly wrong, and their ship explodes! This made their cosmic drive key get lost somewhere on the planet, making them unable to leave. Olimar picks up their cosmic drive key after being on the planet for other reasons. Olimar to get back his old ship, and Louie to find free food. Olimar chases after a shiny thing, and Louie, being the best space friend he can be...runs away. Louie is found by the Koppaites and then taken in. Keeping up his tradition of being the WORST GUY EVER, Louie steals the Koppaites entire food supply and runs away...only to be eaten by this... other thing. Seriously, who is designing these Pikmin enemies, and are you ok? After they rescue Louie and use some "gentle" persuasion for Louie to reveal the Olimar's location, the Koppaites get enough juice to last them through a nuclear winter. Then they head to the final destination, where Olimar is being taken care of by.. this thing. After using the age-old strategy of "Just throw a bunch of rocks at your enemy until they give up and leave" the Koppaites successfully save Olimar. As a reward, Olimar gives them the cosmic drive key, and the Koppaites are to escape Earth and go back to their respective planets. Louie is left behind again though. A happy end...

Not that I'm particularly doubting the nuclear apocalypse story, but regarding the geiger counter being required on ships, you know there's radiation in space, right? Radiation from stars is extremely dangerous if not protected by a planet's atmosphere.
Been awhile since I've played through it, but I'm confidently certain the "making a lot of noise" comment is referring to when Olimar is flying through space. Its usefulness on a planet would be minimal if it's attached to a ship that isn't mobile once it lands. I'm assuming his suit gives him all the information he needs about the radiation while moving around the surface of a planet.
Lol I always knew Louie was the bad guy but this video takes it to the next level. Makes me hate playing as the character now heh hopefully Pikmin 4 happens and serves some justice!
I wouldn't say he's a bad guy. Just...in his own world most of the time? He seems to let his gluttony get the better of him, but I felt that at least SOME of his actions in Pikmin 3 made sense.
To be fair technically he's be paying for his misnomers this whole time working at the company and whatnot. Albeit he still hasn't paid for the theft and endangerment of an entire race thing.
The Louie theory seems legit, especially since the Plasma Wraith is seen watching the SS Drake take off during the ending of Pikmin 3, potentially ordering Louie to return. Plus it’s worth noting that neither Hocotanians and Pokianians can die if exposed to oxygen, so unless Olimar or Alph returns, to the Pikmin planet, Louie could be dead once his support system runs out of energy.
So.. to make it short.. Louie cause his boss to get ruined (and starvation of a whole planet) by eating an entire stock of carrots ALL BY HIMSELF.. He stole the food supplies of another ship.. He tries to eat a *monster* (?!).. Is he trying to be Kirby or somethin ?!?!
@OverlordDystroy yeah. Watching this, I felt as if I were just watching a DazzReviews rip-off or something. It was so on point. I also didn’t like how he stated everything as if it were fact, and not theory. (Including even the Umibozu) Sure, Dazz also took some theories and speculation from the Pikmin community, but here, I feels as if they just copied and pasted multiple Dazz videos into 15 minutes.
@OverlordDystroy Yeah. I really would like to support him or something, but I can’t as I am too young to have a source of income. Well, I mean, at least his channel is finally starting to pick up some good traction. I think he’s starting to do better.
I saw this and I just knew I would find a comment about Dazz’s past videos. (Funny thing - I thought Dazz and DanTDM were the same person when I first got introduced to TH-cam)
So. That headcanon theory that the golden Pikpik carrots were going to Koppai doesn't make much sense. It has been stated in Pikmin 3 by Alph that Koppaites cannot eat the Vegetables that Hocotatians eat and wishes that the two could eat the same food so they don't have to go so far out in the galaxy just to find food
I've never played the game but I'm curious about what information did this video leave out. Sorry if I sound really stupid since I don't know much about this game. Just very curious if you don't mind. ^^
@@kittyythecat Several people have pointed out some of the error / miss information in the comments . At this time i forgot what other "Facts" in the dorkly video are wrong as I'm a busy person .
There is actually a theory that the humans were extincted due to a nuclear apocalypse because the Geiger Counter (one of the Olimar's ship parts in the first game) is constantly letting out clicks and buzzes. For those who don't know, a Geiger Counter is a device used to measure radioactivity in a given area. The clicks and buzzes Olimar mentions is the Geiger Counter reading the amount of radiation. The faster the rate of clicks and buzzes means there's more radiation in the local area.
I think the thing with the Wraiths is that at least two of them are like subspecies to each other. Related, but not the same creature that has evolved.
dweevils mimic the behaviour of the object/creature thei're carrying, so the titan dweevil was just mimicing the behaviour of Louie, but used it against Olimar and his pikmin, what Louie himself wouldn't do. Louie didn't actively control it!

In the game, when the Geiger Counter drops onto the field after killing the burrowing snagrett, the counter is actually constantly going off.
The Water Wraith's Japanese name is Amebozu (A cross between Amoeba and Umibozu), which supports the theory.

@@marche800 it's not because their picky it's beacause vegetables don't contain the necessary nutrients they need to survive.

While you don't see any people or cities, if Olimar is smaller than a bottle cap, than the game is a very small scale. The game basically takes place on a very tiny portion of the earth Probobly less than .5% the total land mass of earth, a very bad guesstamate.

@@danielm.595
They are members of a species that can travel between the stars, I don't think the size of their ships would limit the scope of the scanners.
I have my personal theory considering the Wraith enemies:
They are more like a manifestation of the will of the planet to be left alone given by its actions in pikmin 2 trying to kill the intruders, but as Olimar came to visit the planet frequently he inadvertently affected the planet by teaching pikmin self dependance and so he was considered a part of the planet's ecosystem which is why the plasm wraith in pikmin 3 cradles him like a baby instead of trying to murder him
The koppai delivery theory falls flat because alph says they only eat fruit
Hence why they are starving and the Hocatations aren't.

Don't forget that Captain Charlie is a War Hero. Louie freaked out that he was taken prisoner by Koppaites, so it stands to reason that Hocotate and Koppai were at war in recent history.

Question, would the nuclear holocaust cause the atmosphere to weaken allowing radiation from space?
I never actually played any of these, but I always wanted to. Anyways this was still super interesting regardless.
Pacing wise, the first one is a time trial to get out in 30 days, the 2nd is you just working towards a goal (I've had runs reach over 700 days because I would just mess around and make more Pikmin) and the 3rd has some form of timer, as you need the fruit you gather to survive (there is generally plenty to keep you going if you focus on it, but this does make a cap on time more so than the 2nd).
tl;dr The first game is one of the simpler ones, but also one of the more intense versions, as it gives you a set time to gather what you need
Pikmin 2 gives you infinite time to collect treasure and has more mechanics, it has the most content with a choice on how you want to reach the goal, and an endgame
Pikmin 3 is the prettiest by far, adds new mechanics (like a whopping 3 captains!) and while it doesn't have as much content, the boss at the end is a TOUGHIE.

Welp, that makes me feel bad for playing this game
It’s interesting how instead of that “crashing” thing being just Louie it’s actually the classic duo on another mission because they left a whole spaceship.
The bugs are not giant. They only look so because the player and Pikmin are ant sized
They are still pretty big compared to their real world counterparts.
ant sized huh? What are ants again? Hmmm...
They are just regular sized bugs
Olimar is the size of a quarter, and Pikmin are smaller still. Compare them to ordinary objects, if you will
( Circa Pikmin strategy guide)
for that nuclear theory, the note on the geigar counter implies that it went off occasionally before his crash not after. in pikmin 2 there is a snowman which implies there are at least some inteligent beings left. also most of the treasure they find in two are relatively new implying they were recently lost. so in the end it's much more likely that it's an alternate earth and they coincidently dont run into other humans or that the universe they are in is an alternate dimension and all the treasures and signs of humanity that are there are things that sorta fell into it. sorta like the place where things you lose go

Your profile picture is sorta farfetched related to the reason of my ptsd.

@@triggered_atheist619 apology accepted as long as you promise to never do that again. Or I WILL Twitter about you and make you seem like a racist against asians(yellow pikmin)
That his you said doesn’t leave anything behind... in the first game, it leaves 4 ‘5’ tokens. I’ve been getting them every time I kill it. And I’m one level away from completing number 1

When I 1st played Pikmin(3) I thought it was a fun game of killing and puzzles with weird beings
Not that I'm particularly doubting the nuclear apocalypse story, but regarding the geiger counter being required on ships, you know there's radiation in space, right? Radiation from stars is extremely dangerous if not protected by a planet's atmosphere.
When you find the Geiger counter in Pikmin one, it's constantly beeping while the pikmin carry it back to the ship.
@@mystbunnygaming1449
He doesn't know what Geiger counters are! But, when the Pikmin carry it, the thing won't stop beeping.
@@mystbunnygaming1449 I mean it would explain the weird mutated things like the burrowing Snagret and the Mamuta. Oh, and of course the Pikmin.
What in the Holy heck? That's way to deep for a kids game. Tho my favorite item from the Pikmin series is lip service. It always makes me laugh.
So.. to make it short..
Pikmin 3 Deluxe had it so Olimar AND Louie returned to the planet, soooooooo… Louie is only responsible for Pikmin 2 and nothing else.
That being said, Dazz Reviews covered this exact stuff years ago, yah know?
@OverlordDystroy yeah. Watching this, I felt as if I were just watching a DazzReviews rip-off or something. It was so on point. I also didn’t like how he stated everything as if it were fact, and not theory. (Including even the Umibozu) Sure, Dazz also took some theories and speculation from the Pikmin community, but here, I feels as if they just copied and pasted multiple Dazz videos into 15 minutes.
@@LiamLLP I'm glad I wasn't the only person to think this. Dazz deserves some respect. He's in a rough enough place on TH-cam as it is.
@@grantcrown5781 Me as well, actually, that's hilarious.
*There is so much miss information about the games .*
*It is incredibly sad .*
I've never played the game but I'm curious about what information did this video leave out. Sorry if I sound really stupid since I don't know much about this game. Just very curious if you don't mind. ^^
@@kittyythecat
Several people have pointed out some of the error / miss information in the comments .
At this time i forgot what other "Facts" in the dorkly video are wrong as I'm a busy person .
I don't think the golden carrots were for koppai because the people on the planet only eat fruit and hocotations only eat vegtables.
He used chuggaconroy gameplay for the water wraith....
THAT WAS SUCH A FUNNY MOMENT...
You should've included that audio
There is actually a theory that the humans were extincted due to a nuclear apocalypse because the Geiger Counter (one of the Olimar's ship parts in the first game) is constantly letting out clicks and buzzes.
For those who don't know, a Geiger Counter is a device used to measure radioactivity in a given area. The clicks and buzzes Olimar mentions is the Geiger Counter reading the amount of radiation. The faster the rate of clicks and buzzes means there's more radiation in the local area.
Slight problem... The Koppaits can't eat vegetables according themselves in the game
