It blows my mind that so many people are left to deal with situations like these, all by themselves. When we found my sister, she had only been gone for a few hours so there wasn't that much we had to clean, but it was still traumatizing as hell seeing her the way we found her. She OD'd and had vomit and blood all over her in her bed and I remember thinking after they had taken her, "what now..how are we going to be able to deal with this, we cant go back into that room" but it had to be done, and it was an awful experience. So seeing all these cases where it's reeeeally bad, it breaks my heart. I think the whole team with Spaulding are just amazing, Carissa is exactly who I would want around me when I felt hopeless and empty. Such a kind hearted, angel lady.

It’s sad, my grandfather took his life with a shotgun and his entire bedroom had to be ripped out. My poor grandmother was in the kitchen cooking him breakfast, it was my first day back from spring break my senior year of high school, and it was a frigid cloudy morning. I guess after he showered and took his medicine for his bipolar, and still naked, he decided to take his life.
My grandmother swears she saw into his room, but the police said she couldn’t have because they needed to use something to get the door down because there was a chair propped against it. She definitely still has PTSD.
Pretty much, after he died my grandmother couldn’t stay because of the memories and she sold the house. We knew the new owners, my grandfathers friends son, and so we were able to see it as they were renovating. They had said they were going to live there, but they ended up flipping it, and dividing the property in half which was my grandfathers dream so his only daughter, my mom and his grandchildren could live there. They put up another house too, and when I saw it bittersweet to me. I was in tears. The last time I was entirely alone in the house, after his funeral a week later, even though he wasn’t there, I started screaming at him like a madwoman but it helped. Spring had arrived and it was warm and sunny, and I was mad because he suffered from seasonal depression. I was saying “if you stuck it out just one more week”

I really feel for the homeowner here. He's putting on a strong front (likely a lot stronger than he may be able to without the support of Carissa and her crew). Although my circumstances are different, I can absolutely see myself in his shoes. I hope there are a lot of hugs for him, and support going forward. The toll of this is going to last a long time. Hugs from Canada, brother!

I think maybe for the mind it would be wise to not be there for every excruciating horrifying thing …. why did he stay in the house at all? He could have PTSD after this. I think a motel … I don’t think he’s poor I’m not saying this to be mean it just seems crazy 90° heat at night on top of it…and I know! Because I live in Florida

Carissa has the sweetest spirit. This is the 2nd video I've seen with her...(first was Part 1. ) She just radiates a nurturing but businesslike approach to her job and you know she is a comfort to people dealing with loss. It makes total sense that she has a dental/education background, because she has that rare blend of kindness and intelligence you see in people like nurses, teachers and dental assistance. I would love to work with her, and while I hope I never have to deal with anything like this. I'd hope it would be someone like her taking care of the scene.

Realistically, no one can afford all that and it would cost less to simply live somewhere else. I’m not superstitious but I wouldn’t want to live in the house where my dead ex-wife’s corpse was found, especially when that ex wife pulled a gun on me/was violent and pulled a gun on someone else.

This has to be just horrible.
After my mom died, being in the appartment, I was horrified around the hallway where she passed. It always creeped me out that I was walking on the floor where she passed and I always tried to imagine what it would be like to die there the way she did (and we found her the same day so there wasn't even de-comp).
I wouldn’t stand camping out there in the state that the house was and even when it's cleaned I would not be able emotionally to live there with my new family like the house owner 😬. I hope he can leave this chapter behind now and start a brighter chapter in his like.

@jane dow……..That’s for damn sure. I’m a retired Paramedic and several times we were called to do body removals for funeral homes. They would pay our company but tip the 2 person crew. Many times this occurred in the humid summer time 🥵. It’s a smell you can’t describe!! I used Vicks Vapor rub in my nostrils. That helped sometimes,

My husband died in our bed. I crawled over him, and did not even realize he had died. Sometime during the night I got up to lay on the sofa, because my Grandaughter, who we had been babysitting for, ) was sleeping in the dining room, in her pack n' play, she had been sick and cranky because she was teething and in pain; the pen was about a few feet from my sofa. I fell asleep, when I woke up, I went back to the bedroom, I climbed up onto my med. rigor mortis., had happened. He was ice-cold, I touched his leg. I screamed for my adult Child, that I believed her Father had died. All of a sudden everyone else woke up, it was total chaos! I called 911, they told me to try to get him off the bed, which had a head and foot board wrought iron frame, and was up against one wall. Paramedics had difficulty moving him; they were carrying him out through the livingroom, the baby (at 18 months old) saw him, started holding her arms out towards him screaming out the name SHE called him, "BACCA, BACCA," ! she couldn't say Grampa. It was absolutely heart wrenching to say the least. A relative came over to take the little children to another house. My Daughter's sister-in-law's birthday , she had been staying with us, she turned 16, that very day.

He had sleep apnea and narcolepsy. I had told him to go to see his Cardiologist. I told him what he had, he ignored me saying, you watch too much TV.

This is what reality TV should actually be. You know, actual reality. No keening noise in the background whenever something gross or awkward is shown (anyone who's watched reality TV knows the sound), nobody storming off in tears, and most importantly, no manipulative music being played to try to tell us how to react to the scene. Just earnest people doing earnest work to get someone's life back on track.
