I always felt like he should have gotten stronger than he did after the time chamber, I mean he went from being weaker than a Super Saiyan to on par with 17 after fusing with Kami and not training that power, after training for a year he should have gotten a major power boost
A theory I have that makes this somewhat reasonable is that Namekian’s (specifically the Warriors and the Dragon Clans) are naturally born with amazing potential. The only problem is since the Namekian race is naturally peaceful that power ends up getting surpassed due to their nature. Sure they can get stronger through training but it would probably take a while for them to reach their full potential. Thats why they have guardians like Guru to unlock their potential and techniques like fusion.
He trained alone which isn't nearly as good as using a sparring partner. No real reason for him not to go in with trunks in universe. Even still...vegeta and trunks went in 2x and were just hanging in there with the cell Jr's. It makes sense that he wasn't on par with the cell Jr's with only one year in the chamber.
Piccolo was on par with Goku at the start of Z and it never made sense that he wasn’t for such a long time until Orange. Like the video bro keep it up.
I like piccilo but he is disrespected, every good moment he's had like fighting freeza, fighting android 17, not only were they quickly undermined but he only got those cool fights through power ups
@@denizenbyday I don't doubt this but he probably had to sacrifice piccilo moments due to him writting without thinking ahead and toei (or whoever is in front of akira) meddling.
like when the supreme kais were introduced, akira probably planned on making them more of a big deal, but then they turned out to be fodder making piccilo look like a pushover
@@zacbrown3797 Yeah, but at least we can respect Piccolo for his intelligence, which helps him stand out. Even Super Buu wanted to absorb Piccolo simply because he was smarter. In a show where power really matters. Funny enough the best time he shined was in the Garlic Jr filler, I don’t know if was the Toei writers doing with a little help from Toriyama sensei.
Nice to see piccolo getting the respect he deserves, all of his fights are exciting and epic to watch, and he has a variety of unique attacks and abilities.
Out of all the characters in DB Piccolo, not Vegeta, has had the easiest time keeping up with threats in DB. How he was so underutilized in the series is baffling. One of Akira's biggest fumbles ngl
The way 17 and 18 was applauding piccolo while he was fighting cell plus when 17 started running always had me crying🤣🤣 piccolo was smashin 17 to the ground many times in fight⚡️
I understand that it does boil down to a "War of Attrition" which does fall in 17's favor, but keep in mind that Piccolo is also a martial arts master. (IMO if I have to say it) And 17 is a really good fighter but just a kid. With prior knowledge of the barrier, I can see Piccolo attempting to bait it out and using the potential recovery after activation to launch a quick Light Grenade and take the fight. And then who knows what happens next, a Vegeta vs 18 rematch maybe 😂
What might have happened if Piccolo and 2nd Form Frieza kept fighting? Frieza decided to transform again to gain the advantage. But what if he didn't? Frieza is known for getting too confident, as stated by Goku in their fight. If Frieza decided to stay in his 2nd form and keep fighting, who would have won? I've often wondered that.
I hope you do a disgusting video of what would have happened if in both future timelines Future Trunks and Future Cell's timeline the senzu beans never went extinct. And what would have happened if that was the case
Piccolo and Krillin are my favorites because they are intelligent and creative fighters, Goku amd Vegeta even if you don't count their unfair advantage as sayans they only copy other's moves and the few moves that are their own are quite boring. Even Gohan is more interesting because he actually has fighting expresion, even if his moves are not as creative as Piccolo's and Krillin's
If he can't absorb 18, Cell gets stuck in imperfect and eventually killed by Vegeta, Trunks or 16. I he can absorb 18 to get to semi-perfect, the same outcome but a bit more dangerous lol. It's sad that Piccolo dying wouldn't be a big deal in that point of the story
@@gammaf1365 I was more worried about the blast taking everyone out all at once. It was always a shame that they didn't give Piccolo a change to shine in this moment as while he wasn't meant to beat 17 and Cell, he could've done more damage.

@@retroskeleton891W theory sounds canon enough for me
It was enough of a power boost that he was holding his own with the Cell Juniors longer than anyone else.
@evanhayes5891 in the anime maybe, in the manga it barely shows him fighting them and Vegeta/Trunks are still fighting when Gohan intervenes

Great video
For me, Piccolo's best fight will always be him vs 2nd form Frieza
Factual piccolo is very underrated, he's had some of the most epic fights, and his fighting style and attacks are top notch.
The first Budokai game gave me some serious flashbacks. Me and my cuzin finished the game in one night and that was the first night I had the game lol
Impressive

I think the light grenade would have made 17 collapse but not kill him and then 16 or 18 would step in and save him.

Piccolo didn't scare the androids, the exact opposite actually cuz they saw him mostly as amusement (specifically 17).
