its a real shame flitetest have gone the route of clickbait videos and abandoned what made them a fantastic resource for new flyers, but having said that I've learnt so much more on your channel. stay safe Lee and family.

"Things are going to get exciting very quickly" - LOL you have a talent for understatement. Good review. Thanks!

Excellent video Lee! I learned a lot from Flitetest also and I remember watching the video about checking everything. Very happy that we pilots have channels like yours and Flitetest's to keep us informed and teach us!

I wish they did more of that great, useful stuff again rather than the 'click-bait' style stuff. I used to watch a lot of Flitetest..

Yes, Yes, Yes ! This is the video I needed two months ago before crashing 97.3 times. Having a picture of the sticks, the control surface movement, and a graphic up illustrating the correct movement in a 8 minute video, priceless. I learned/retained more in this 8 min video than watching 3 hours on the subject and still doing it wrong..

Hi Lee, I must say the quality of your videos is really improving, including the audio which is sounding great. Very professional indeed!

Hi Mr. P Great video on preflight checks. Yep I came over to wings from airplanes and I had no experience with INAV and yet your videos were very helpful with getting my first wing flying. Thanks again for the videos

I ALWAYS tell new flyers (and some of the 'expert' ones) to stand BEHIND the model when they check control movements. If they stand in front, the ailerons appear to go the wrong way!

That's a really slick way to remember the right way for the control surfaces to move when you check preflight. Of you want to check FC stabilization, you can do a similar test where you quickly raise, eg, the right wing and should see the right aileron rise to counteract. Similarly, raise the tail, etc

The one that initially got me was setting up a V-tail. Had a hard time wrapping my head around it but all is good now.

Glad you got it sorted. I've covered it on the channel a few times in the past 5 years - i.e. th-cam.com/video/NIR85KOqIAo/w-d-xo.html Happy flying!

When using iNav auto launch feature permanently enabled it is difficult to check before every flight as it cancel the auto launch.
If we check it before every flight after checking unplugging the bettary and replugging is required for auto launch to work

You don't need the model armed to move the control surfaces... Happy flying

2 positions of the aileron checked, two of the rudder and one of the elevator.. Happy flying!
