Real story: I know people that went to high school with MGK. He drove a drop-top PT cruiser his Senior year and dated a freshman. He went to one of the best high schools in the area, if not the country. His entire image was created out of thin air. He made earlier music in the mid-2010s that always claimed the "hood" and was "hard" but it's funny how he now isn't close to that whatsoever
His music has always catered to mostly suburban white women in their teens. In like 2010, people were screaming "free MGK" because this clown went to one of the richest malls in the area (very few black people go there and it's one of the whitest areas in northeast Ohio) and staged a "Flash mob", trashing most of the food court. He sucks. He's always sucked and he's a great example that cancel culture is not a thing at all-- he's not even talented, has a history of terrible activity, and he's thriving
