It was very awesome to see American Airlines old paint jobs of there 2 planes. Haven't seen those at Gerald R. Ford International Airport( I live about 5 miles from the airport lol. It's awesome to see the planes everyday)since I last flew out of this airport in 2012.
My home airport and my favorite small lil "international airport " I fly out of Grand Rapids once a week , love this airport and they just broke ground on some huge additions coming soon
Really enjoy the "N" number registration information. I always Google the actual plane I'm riding in. Pretty amazing the age of some of these jets. Those MD88 pilots just greese those landings. Old seasoned plane with skilled crews promote longevity in men and machines.
I dislike all 50 seat jets wish there were more props in the US & lots biz jet traffic and allegiant is going to bas 2 airplanes there good news for GRR

Amazing that the AA aluminum livery flies on in 2019, probably the last year we’ll see it on a non heritage jet.
That plane is a piece of History not only for the livery, but because that was evidently a former TWA ship

Not anymore, they retired them in September of 2019. Delta's MD80s were retired 9 months later.
