Looks like Ikea has stopped selling Ryets with round bulbs. Try the Solhetta round bulbs instead. They should be around 80mm in length, 250 lumen or 450/470 lumen.

Someone pls help 😭 mine didn't come with a bulb and I don't understand any of the watts or other stuff. I'm trying to find one on Amazon but have no clue. Can someone just send me a link for one I can buy?
I think it is bright enough for reading. Though when it's right besides me bedside and placed below eye level, I find the light distracting. The brightness also depends on the bulb used. I am using a bulb around 2.7W thereabouts.
Besides Ikea, brands like Philips should work as well! The bulb should be short enough to fit into the lamp. Also check that you get the bulb in the correct screw diameter. For the bulb power, I suggest to try around 2 to 3W and see how the brightness works out for you.

I just tried it out again. I think the trick may be to turn the base of the bulb holder by the protruding "L" shaped portions, while the other hand holds still the outermost ring on the bottom of the mushroom shaped glass.
Using same 2.8W bulb it is brighter compared to the Lampan due to the amount of light passes through their different materials. If you don't need something too bright you may be able to find a bulb of smaller wattage. However if you want something brighter the Tokabo is limited to bulbs of around 4.4W or less.
Not 100% sure it fits inside the glass (though if it doesn't the bulb can still be saved for another lamp...). For comparison the round Ryets (2.8W and 4W) are both under 8cm height.
U havent shown properly how to insert it and lock properly.i brought mine and its ridiculous how this has wasted my time and no luck so far.not easy to put it inside

@Merlin Supremacy It's going to be too tall for the Tokabo. The round bulb I am using now is around the size of a ping pong ball.

I cannot get the wire from the lamp to lay flat. The lamp rocks ...not level...no where for the wire to go ???
There’s a notch along the base for the wire

in step 1, don't screw the base all the way down, screw on just a little bit
