Did you use Aniball or Epi-no Delphine Plus? 'Perineal Massage' Wikipedia UK mentions stretching to 10cm diameter, by using the four fingers of both hands, I assume you achieved, hence only minor tearing? Leaving your breast milk to dry on the nipple and areola, helps heal soreness, as milk has cream. So don't wipe excess breast milk off the breast, walk around nipples exposed until the milk dries, is what I recollect.
