its running on two cylinders down at idle, you can clearly here it, as soon as you open your throttle blades that hole kicked in because you started introducing fuel through the high speed jet, as soon as you closed the throttles that cylinder dropped out, sounds like you have plugged idle circuit in one of the carbs or shes out of adjustment
That's a negative Chet. After a little bit more fine tuning, the motor purred even better on the water, launching the 16 foot Smokercraft it is on to 28 miles an hour with two fat guys on it! This motor still sits happily on that boat running great! But, it is imperative to get the carbs tuned and synced just right, about 4 1/4 turns out on the mixture screws. The stator, CD pack, regulator and spark plugs were replaced. Use Champion plugs as anything else will burn out the CD module or cause erratic performance. Thanks for your input.
