For anyone planning a wedding or event, let me suggest investing in the photos. Everything else that you do for the event is basically gone after- the dress won't be worn again, the food is eaten, the flowers die, but the photos will last. If you're going to splurge on anything, splurge on the photographer. Meet them ahead of time, look at their previous work, talk to them about the type of photos you're interested in and let those photos really capture your event. 💜
I second this! I had my cousin do it for me at my wedding and he gave us a dvd of everything EXCEPT the pictures he made into like a slide show, so when I went to try and print them I couldn’t. This cousin of mine always said he would give me the original footage and never did so I have NO pictures of my wedding 😭😭 unless I want to pull out our DVD player and get the tv that is compatible with it or watch it on my computer. I would love to print some out and hang in my living room. But nope. Never hire a relative.
@@atl1563 Yeah, hiring a relative can cause a lot of problems, especially if you don't have a contract of just what is expected from each side. Did he give you the option of printing photos, or was he done with what he gave you? Have you asked for the files?
I know it can be awkward and I'm definitely not trying to tell you what to do. I'm sorry your wedding has this frustration tied up with it in your mind.
@@LaynieFingers he was supposed to give me a dvd with the video and slideshow in addition to that he was supposed to give me the file to the pictures so I could print them out the size that I wanted. Since I had no idea about anything and was just so overwhelmed. And he is gone and I have lost all contact ☹️☹️
@@atl1563 I am so sorry. I understand how frustrating that is.
This is EXACTLY what my Mom felt at my wedding. We spent a lot of photography and videography. It was worth it. To save money we requested the unedited photos, that I edited myself. So we got thousands of beautiful pictures, but we save a bit of cash by not having the final fancy edit.
That being said, I'm not sure all photographers will allow this, since their reputation is on the line if a couple badly edits their photos and posts them online.

Mhmm I know so many people that did the same thing. It was such a bummer having to change our original plans last year so eloping was a nice way to still do something for us. And now its complete bc we brought our families together :)

What a fun video - thanks so much. I loved the color of the bridesmaid dresses. And, the thing I noticed the most was that everyone dressed up for your reception and dinner. So many times now I see people wear jeans and casual wear to a wedding. To me that look is way too casual for such a special event.

I have to say, one pet peeve I have with bridal ensembles is that when most of the top of a wedding dress is embellished and the skirt is more plain, the bride carries a bouquet that covers it all up! I really like how your bouquet is designed to show off the top of the dress rather than hide it. Well done. You look beautiful.

This is so beautiful. I especially liked the beautiful shot of the dress on a hanger. I was able to get a really good look at it, but when I saw the dress on you, It seemed like a different dress. You all looked lovely, and the dj emcee did stand out. So great that it went well. Erik was so dapper and cute. I also adored the mom in the Gold Silk Shantung Jacket. What a beautiful bride and groom. I've been watching you for quite awhile and saw your wonderful first wedding and your reception looked like it was amazing. The words of the person who married you last year are words so worth writing out and printing for anybody getting married. They are words to hold in your heart as the years go by.
