Why they have vertex shocks for the Tacoma but not the Colorado is beyond me... I really want a set of these for my truck
There still new, so I’m sure they’ll come out with a set soon I would think
I have icon hydraulic bump stops on my taco and I’ve seen the king bump stops and you might have to relocate the resi. From the looks of it (where the resi is mounted) it’s gonna be a real close fit
I can probably have someone fabricate me a new bracket for the resi but damn I didn’t think about that LOL thanks for letting me know

That was my first setup ever 💪 can’t go wrong with Billie but once u start adding weight to them u can definitely feel it
I never heard good things bout rough country but how did they do off-roading??
Or comparing them to other suspensions
What’s up man and I’d say it feels similar to kings of course it’s not but it’s very similar how long term we’ll see how the seals hold up but so far I’m satisfied
I have kings for my front suspension right now and it feels like I have a full king setup just to give u an idea

I always wondered why you never went with King or Fox suspension?
I did 👍 I stated it in the video
Interesting video enjoyed it a lot. I think I would’ve put my reservoir with the knob facing towards the cab instead of the back of the truck. I believe this would give your hand more access to change your settings and the hose going between the reservoir and the shock wouldn’t be as bunched up but I guess it’s just personal preference.
On that side where it showed him dialing it? If your left handed maybe sounds like you just wanted something to yap about. It’s fine how they installed it. If your left handed maybe the other way works better 4 u. And your right it is preference.
@@abisaimedrano7 not at all I am right-handed but where they put the knob it's a tighter space and a lot more crap is going to get stuck up there when you're off roading in the mud and snow, I also don't like the way the hose droopys down but as I said it's personal preference.
@@russellwood8750 guess there could be better ways to do this. It would all have to be tested. After all it’s all in the details.
@@abisaimedrano7 I live in the Rocky mountains in Canada so I see a lot of snow and mud and a lot of the guys who do the off-roading, and like to do Mudding so you get used to all the crap under your vehicle. It doesn't take long before you realize the best way to set up your suspension so you can adjust it for back on road use the last thing you want to be doing is pulling a whole load of crap out of the way so you can readjust your suspension. But as I said each to your own whatever rocks your boat.
Is there a reason why you went with RC in the rear/kings in the front and not just full kings?
I went full kings just the rears are back order until mid next year so I wanted to run something better then my current setup for the rear my fronts I’ll have next week,
The rears I was told next year there 12” smooth body’s
It’ll also give me a chance to test the rc just in case someone else is in the market for them I can always give them some opinions as well

For an affordable setup I’d still recommended them I’ve since installed them onto my cousins truck and he’s still using them and I’ve had a set of rc vertex on my 2020 jeep wrangler for a long time and still run them on that build and that’s my daily and I love it
Do these have the spherical bearings on the rod ends that wear out as soon as 15k miles and squeak like the kings and fox shocks do? I have read comments on forums about that and is why some still prefer the trd pro shocks instead.
My buddy has been running these for over 20k miles no problems

Kings are the way to go. I love mines. Wouldn’t go with any other kit
You think the whole set up for RC vertex is better than icon because that what I’m running but I’m not impressed with icon…
Theyve always been a “budget setup” but these vertex are there newer updated versions they come with adjusters and reservoirs these are overall a bigger upgrade then there regular shocks (there regular shocks) I have on my 2020 Jeep Wrangler so I’ve felt both from experience both on and offroad

I just installed the front and rears on my 2011. They feel amazing. Make sure you get a swaybar relocation or take it off.

@Ether34 so far so good. Feel plenty planted, I have only been on dirt roads for camping in PNW and a bit of beach driving. Needed spacers for my swaybar but it's pretty squeaky so will probably just remove it as I run pretty stiff anyway
