Years ago when I was flying an RC place, I landed it and I had a guy race over in a car thinking it was a real plane that had crashed

Kev... Your level of control with your heli is astounding! Of all RC toys that I've had the pleasure of piloting... Helis are by far the most complicated. You sir are nearly masterful with it!

Kev you have mad chopper skills!!! You always blow me away every time I see you fly. That jet was epic. My buddy has one like it but has built in counter measures like chaff. Also has smoke. He loves jets so much he put a big jet motor on his bike. It's wicked!! Can't wait to see yours.
Cool that y’all can fly RCs at an active small airport in the UK. The FAA would have an aneurism if you tried that in the US 😂
I believe you have to have a license

Some airfields have clubs that operate there, when I was flying my local airfield had a large model club that flew jets after the airfield shut in the evening. You have to remember that because of WW2 the Uk has a lot of ex-military fields, there's literally five within a ten mile circle where I am.
I've never been interested in the flying side of the RC hobby, but this video was awesome. Amazing jets and lots of speed and noise
Don't knock it until you've tried it. You can pick up a trainer with a gyro for $70 CDN and even a beginner can fly it. It's kind of zen actually.

At the moment I got away from flying to RC cars. But all I have ale foam self build planes. I leaned flying with a slow flyer 3d plane.
Its possible evrn to learn how to fly with acro planes. I crashed a lot, but somehow got it.
flying is usually boring to watch but fun to do and amazing to see some of the skilled fliers
Mind blown, I've been watching those badass helicopters fly and do tricks for 15 years never thinking Kevin would one day be the one doing it. Love love love the heli tricks, they beat r/c truck tricks any day. Make my palms and feet sweaty lol

@@jonahfastre did not know that and I wonder he's so good. Have you ever seen the professionals do it in competition though, that is insane. I'm not saying he's not a pro but if you go watch some TH-cam videos of the number one dude it's pretty mind blowing

@@themrjones from memory he said he switched to cars because crashing helicopters was ruining him financially and took the fun out of it.
I can’t imagine any crash being cheap to fix.
That plane is a commitment to his hobby.

great video! and yes, if you want to take it to the next level, those things can even outperform a cessna single prop in terms of speed. the realism of how they look are just amazing and i can't imagine how many man hours it would take to make one that looks that good and flies that well..cheers Kevin for a great job shooting this video and a big thumbs up to those pilots who did all the flying. great job for everyone onboard.

usually in the bigger planes weight to wingarea is less than in the smaller ones.. so they float better.
He flies that jet very well, Kev you aint half bad on the heli either. All round RC man. Tell Claire to DL Phoenix Sim. For freeeee and will save her money in the long run.
Alex kowaliuk here from America 🇺🇸. Iv never in my life seen a helicopter go like Kevin makes m go . I wonder if that skill would translate to a real helicopter.?? Physics says yes ,what do u say kev want to fly the real deal I know you can because you already think in the way you have to perceive motor controls in flight.
That was cool seeing those different RC planes. Seems really fun and tough to fly as well. Can u only fly them in certain areas?
Probably only over private land or empty land and also not near airports

I'm usually a stunt kite flyer and would love to move onto planes. But can't imagine the price tags or hours invested into building these things. I'd be too nervous of a crash. This was a beautiful build.
I've seen a couple of RC jets around the same size and they are unbelievably loud, when they do high speed passes, it sounds like a real jet 😅
And look like one too. I’m always sitting there so puzzled for a couple min as to if it’s an actual plane or rc jet till it’s closer and you can tell size

kev have you considered getting a FPV camera like they use for racing drones for your speed cars so you can control them at range and don’t have to worry about not seeing them from a distance?

Those huge foam stunt planes are something else. you can flew them normally if our extremely careful. But the amount of travel they have for all of the control surfaces is just crazy. You can fly them straight up and they dont care.

Dude your heli flying is incredible. Check out the xicoy x45 turbine, you can bolt them into foamie EDFs.
