So a real boxing footwork drills masterclass here, alongside this I answer some questions posed by the subscribers of the channel.
So why are boxing footwork drills important and why does using boxing footwork drill patterns help?
    - The pattern provides an excellent guide, a point of reference to assist your movement.
    - You are able to use structure to visualise and execute effective sequences.
    - Repetition of actions leads to instinctive responses.
    - Just as with firefighters, soldiers, police and medics you can get to a place where 'the training takes over'.
I work through 2 boxing footwork drill patterns in the video.
For the purposes of saving space, I have combined both of these into a single drill pattern:
    LINK FOR YOUR DRILL PATTERN:
    www.dropbox.com/s/mrzpfagzin3...
In terms of skills that I demonstrate in the video
    SIDE STEPPING:
    • The Boxing Side-Step.....
    ANGLED SIDE STEP:
    • Boxing Footwork Explai...
    PIVOT:
    • Boxing Footwork Drill ...
    STANCE SWITCH:
    • Advanced Boxing Footwo...
    RETREATING ANGLED SIDE STEP:
    • Boxing Footwork Drill ...
As well as covering off Boxing Footwork Drills in detail, I also give answers to 3 questions:
    1. I am right handed but feel more comfortable in the southpaw stance. In the orthodox stance both hands feel weak. In the southpaw stance the jab feels great but the left (back hand) feels week. What are some tips for strengthening my back hand.
    2. Do you think that someone can actually learn boxing without going to a gym to be trained? Can someone really learn from the Internet?
    3. How can you tell if someone is going to be a boxer or not (physically and mentally)?
    Cheers
    Fran

Thanks coach. Great stuff as always. Footwork is everything. Hands can't make powerful contact without the feet getting one into position with a good, braced base facing the right direction to deliver then follow or depart. First I heard of Canelo v Kovalev. Canelo is certainly being bold like the beer commercial with Stallone. Geez. Tall order.

wow thankyou, I wasn't actually expecting to get an answer on video.
Just to add a bit more detail. I persevered with orthodox for nearly a year before swapping. And by swapping I just mean that I now train both stances equally, whilst before I would train only orthodox.
I do things like your your pivot & side step drills and it feels much better in southpaw. Orthodox feels distinctly like my "switch" stance.
I didn't really "choose" southpaw, it is just what seems to work best with my legs.
I really don't expect you to come back to the same question, just giving a background.
I will remind myself to always put the same effort into training orthodox as if it were the stronger stance.
    thanks for the tips

my opinion as a person who is experiencing this now- the 16:8 fasting is very good, I do tend to have more ambition and drive to go and get things done when im hungry... it's nature i think off it as im a hunter. human nature in my opinion is to collect my food and only then go to sleep and rest on a satisfied stomach after I went through whatever was on my path and got through any obstacles in my way to finish the mission and collect my reward. And hey .. what do you know im beginning to see a more toned body in my mirror. so in my opinion 16:8 fasting is a great thing overall.
good food and nutrition is really all in your head. stop crying and complaining. get the fuck over it and do whatever needs to be done.
