Great video Fran thankyou, small steps is such a key. Always had a bad habit of taking too big steps and losing my balance and not being able to throw crisp fluid combinations.
As a 51 yo returning to boxing after 10 years away from a gym or routine, your channel and this excellent book were recommended by my former trainer. Thank you for putting out there such useful and easy to follow instruction. 🥊🥊
@@myboxingcoach i believe it will i'll share my results in a month or two, if this vid dropped a few hours earlier i wouldve used it instead of my own footwork drills haha.
Thanks mate. Not a new gym. We are building extensions and refurbishing the boxing club. We received a grant from Merseyside Police and have somehow managed to get the build underway. Will hopefully do some vids of the finished article if it doesn't turn me into a gibbering wreck in the meantime. Hope all is well with you pal, will catch up soon👍
Hey Fran, can I ask why you have to toe-in with your lead leg rather than aim it at your opponent? Does it depend on the style you're going for? I ask because in Jack Dempsey's book the lead leg doesn't toe-in.
The lined mat is a great learning tool. It's not learn to "walk before you run", it's learn to "roll over, then walk, and only then run." Infants do it right. Newbs? Not so much.
