This one reminds me a yummy fruit salad! Ive been sick in bed with the flu for 3 days now and so happy to have found this video. Thanks Denise! Its beautiful!🎉❤
Such a pretty project. I love the Kuretake gold ink. I'm also gonna try the Kuretake silver ink. Can't have too many art supplies I say. Have a great week.😊
I love the complementary pairings of blue and orange in this one. I’ve taken to rotating my pieces as I work on them so that there’s no “up” - it’s kinda fun! 🎨🖌️
I’m so excited for this video I’m obsessed with the size and colors of this! Not to mention I’ve been sick w the flu and need some Denise to hopefully inspire me to get out of bed to create some “ yummy mess” 😂
Aw! I've been in bed for 3 days with the flu. I'm so over it! It's a bad one this year. My husband has it too. I'm in AZ🏜️hope you feel better soon! I think I'm over the worst of it now. No energy at all tho!🥰
What a glorious piece of art. Love these watercolors. What a blessing it has been this year, finding your channel and joining skillshare to watch even more of your work. Thank you for inspiring this 61 yr old, you are never too old to learn how to play with new art things. I wish you the most happiest blessings in 2024. And can not wait for you to continue your inspiration to us all. ❤❤❤❤
I appreciate your videos as they give me inspiration. Sometimes things I may try and others I know I won't. Frees me up to not be afraid to try. Thank you.
Very beautiful, as usual! ❤Denise, have you seen how some artists use a dampened "Mr. Clean Magic Eraser" (cut into cubes as you do with your sponges) to erase mistakes on your artwork? I tried it, and it is fantastic at removing the accidental smudges I make on my watercolor paper.
What in interested tip. I could have used it when I ink smudged a card I was making and my sand and art erasers didn’t work. I’ll try it next time. Thx.
I love these colours. This is beautiful. Unfortunately, it was late here in Australia and I watched this in bed. It’s been a hectic weekend and had no spare time to watch it earlier. My other half was sleeping, and I didn’t want to wake him, but I couldn’t resist watching. I’ve saved it and will watch again tomorrow, so I can hear that wonderful southern accent. However, you can’t get a more southern accent than Australia. Any further south and we are in Antarctica 😂😂. Thank you Denise for another wonderful video 🫶
Wasn’t sure where this was going when you started out with the circles but love how it all the colors just blended together. Thank you for the information about prepping the brass nib with toothpaste…mine (and holder) is being delivered tomorrow and I’m very excited. Did you apply the paste with your finger or did you use a brush, or would that be too harsh?
If I have glass nibs and I am not getting ink off the tip when I a writing with it is that because there is oil on it as well or is it just an issue with glass nibs?
I’ve shown the fine line applicators in some videos (don’t know which ones) but they are a great alternative - the blue label one is my favorite - FINELINE APPLICATORS 2/PKG - amzn.to/44Ims5j
I always appreciate hearing you “think out loud” as you move through your process.
I'm so glad that is helpful!! Thank you! 🥰

Not much for green or orange but something special happens when pink gets thrown into the mix. Lovely work.
So true! Thank you! 🥰

I have the mr. clean magic eraser too. I forget about it. I'll have to pull it out! Thank you! 🥰

Loving how it turned out. Mark making is the best!
It really is the best! Thank you! 🥰
Gorgeous ❤
Thank you! 🥰
Gorgeous, love the granulations and the mark making!
Thank you! 🥰
Really lovely. The colours are so nice together!
Thank you! 🥰
I’m trying g the stencil technique today in my sketchbook. Thanks for keeping us inspired❤
Have fun!! 🎨 Thank you! 🥰
Try a sanded eraser on those tough spots. You won't want to watercolor over the area afterwards, but other mediums should be ok.
Great tip! Thank you! 🥰
gorgeous work, i love it ❤❤
Thank you! 🥰
I like to purposely heat up wet acrylic ink and paint just enough so that it bubbles. It adds texture 🫧
Great tip. Thank you! 🥰
Ohh THAT sounds fun!! Gonna try THAT!!🎉❤

I used an old tooth brush. Doesn’t hurt the nib. Have fun with it!! 🎨🎨🎨 Thank you! 🥰
@@2lilowlsstudio glad you specified OLD toothbrush…I was going to use my husband’s (naw…just kidding). Thanks for the response.
Fabulous.
Thank you! 🥰

I didn't like the glass nib. Seemed not to work with the gold very well and then I chipped it. 🤷🏻♀️
What is a good alternative to the Kakimori pen nib?
I’ve shown the fine line applicators in some videos (don’t know which ones) but they are a great alternative - the blue label one is my favorite - FINELINE APPLICATORS 2/PKG - amzn.to/44Ims5j
You can also just regular dip pens. That ink works fine with them.
