Do not ever apologize for taking the piss out of Taleb. The man that wrote about anti fragility blocks is one of the most fragile people I've ever seen. Blocks anyone that disagrees or challenges his views.

Blockchain doesn't give you anonymity, takes away your ability to delete your history. It's designed around anonymous *security*, which means knowing exactly what everyone did while hiding your identity. If someone connects you with your number they have your full blockchain activity history.

The Peter Principle is exactly why hierarchical organizations, viewed as a pyramid, are an extremely dumb idea. The notion that you have to "start at the bottom and work your way up" is idiotic when the skills for different jobs at different "levels" are entirely different. If you just try to aim people at what their good at instead of filtering them through organizational structure, you're likely to get a better organization. This is especially true since people tend to be only good at a constrained range of things. A good manager is unlikely to also be good at whatever it is the people he is managing are doing, and vice versa. Management shouldn't be viewed as a "higher" position, but as a connective one, and it shouldn't be excessively rewarded, as it usually is.

    • @davidnunez1864
      @davidnunez1864 3 ปีที่แล้ว

That would work fine if everyone had equal responsibility and accountability for the goal, or if you had only full responsibility and accountability for your part. Would you sack yourself if you did a crap job?
Of course there is a difference between a leader and a manager, I would say its easier to replace a manger than a leader. People on the whole get paid more for what they create that others cannot, can do what others can't or can stand the stench when others can't.

Intellectual snobbery, which has been going on forever, is a big problem in human development and growth. This snobbery, comes from stupid people thinking they are clever, telling clever people who think they are stupid, about clever stuff which is stupid. ;)

How do you identify a midwit? I’m not certain of my own wit standing in the world. I would hesitate to assume my own standing, and I have often been surprised by people that do not outwardly show their capabilities.
Also, Is it a big deal for Amazon to violate the terms of the contract for hosting they have with any client? I guess there is a clause about community standards or some such, but who determines that? Amazon? It appears the larger wealthier corporations get to push around everyone else if this is the case.
As to censorship if I ask a legitimate question, and I do not get a direct answer, or no comment, or an attack in return, I think there is something being hidden. It could be something, or not, but if it’s easily explained, why not do so? It’s very similar to cornering a liar that contradicts themselves at some point you just can’t believe anything they say. I’m there after watching Zuck, Jack Dorsey and many others being questioned in front of congress. The answers seem to be non answers, deflections, redirects, anything but straight forward.

This guy is not good at statistics & research. W.r.t misogyny, West is not systematically better than Asia. For example, China has more female directors than Europe & the US. Latest research I saw Lao was best globally. Also for many other forms of violence West is worst than many other area. Of course, not all and there are many big differences in many areas and countries.
Then, yes, women's situation has improved, but so has men's. Whether women's situation has improved overall more than men is hard to say at least if I look the research in Finland. It has improved for some women but many aspects have per research gotten worse. Perhaps statistics are not good but for example, amount of sexual violence, intimate partner violence & forced temporary work has increased in recent decades. While equal pay has increased on average, it really depends on the occupation. In many areas not really. For example traditional women's occupations very little, yet prices have gone up. For women with tech degrees very little if any change in 30 years. Here these women are still systematically in lowest positions even after decades of experience, very high education etc. On the other hand, women advance fast in support roles, systematically many times faster. Like 3x faster. So, they get in 10 years career wise where women with tech degrees get in 30 years.
Then, the best paid women are generally a few token women but mostly in HR & legal with very high pay, when at the same time women with tech degrees are systematically least advanced even globally with per research high number of annual discrimination and harassment. These women are responsible for these aspects, especially HR legally in Finland. How is this not misogyny?
No proof that women's actual wealth have relatively improved.
Then, at least here systematically laws typically committed against women are very lenient, convictions are rare even when per research these are very common & severe, compensations are low, etc.
Then, at least here, women's situation has improved but very little over decades, such as pay gap. Yet, today women are much more educated & there is no difference in hours worked between men & women. So, I can also argue that women's situation has not improved. You need to compare pay for certain education level. For that, no improvements or very little, I would argue.
Then, at least here when systematically laws are less efficient, convictions are rare & lenient, compensations lower than in other crimes for crimes against women, that IS misogyny, even if some or many women's situation has improved even per this guy's early definition.
Then, in the US, latest figure I found for 2019: White household median wealth ~188k, Black household ~24k. How is this not massive racisism?
The right wing & misogynistic media is also very biased & idealogical. Systematically reporting deceiptfully aspects at least on gender equality here in Finland. And, definitely in the US, like Fox. This guy has no issue with these things. Quite biased.
And, how is not the Koch family in the US part of the establishment? They have spent was it hundreds of millions to lobby politicians etc. The establishment is especially the ultra rich families who drive their agendas with vast amount of money & connections.
