Not exactly, I mean a lot of those explanations are "well, it could be this", when there's no real explanation, like the Anasui one, the real point is why Araki introduces things that he won't use ?, using hermes as an example, why did he make her injured ?, couldn't he simply think of another solution ?
I don't think that "Araki forgerts", in my opinion is more like "Araki don't care", he just do what he thinks will be cool, but jojo fans are pretty stupid about basic things that happen in the history too.

Having a powerful character not taking part in such an important part of the story without good reason wouldn't be satisfying either.
Although there was a reason for Giorno and that is he had no way of knowing what the hell is causing time acceleration.
I had a thought about Jotaro getting help from Koichi but then again he didn't have a reason to assume that something like a Universe reset could happen at all.
So yeah, Araki is a great storyteller, people want unreasonable things, what else is new?
There's an actual reason why Giorno didn't save the day in the end, but "because it would be boring" is not it. Araki still created the character and gave him those crazy abilities, so it doesn't absolve him.
Atleast jotaro could try to call very powerful stand users in morioh after waking up from coma. Yeah I know jotaro probably didn't want to risk their lives or too cocky to ask for help sometimes but for ffs pucci did beat him in seconds in their first encounter and his daughter is in danger or atleast someone from speedwagon f. should have thought like "there is guy who easily caused jotaro to fall into a coma, WE NEED HELP"

Honestly the only thing that bothers me about part 6 is a minor one and that grocery store eggs aren’t fertilized and wouldn’t turn into baby chicks regardless of how much time passed, and even if they were fertilized they wouldn’t develop in the conditions they were in.
I think it was artificial development and that's why they ended like halfchicks
I know in some cultures you can get fertilized quail and duck eggs as a delicacy. There's videos of people even buying those from the super market and incubating them to hatch. Perhaps it's something similar?

Lots of great works have some memorable factual errors, and you have to be a very special sort of person to get overly hung up on these. Jojo fans treat Araki like he has dementia and is forgetting his own facts that he's putting in. The egg thing is either a slip up, or a deliberate fudging for effect, but its not forgetfulness.

So I think some of the discussion around Araki forgetting doesn't take into account what his schedule was like writing JoJos. So I'm gonna into it: Part 1, Jojo's ran for 42 weeks or 299 days (January 1, 1987- October 26,1987) and he wrote and drew 44 chapter before going immediately into Part 2 which had 69 chapters and ran for 69 weeks (November 2, 1987 - March 20, 1989,) He had almost 4 weeks off between 2 and 3 began
In part 3, he did 152 chaptsrs in 159 weeks (March 27, 1989 - April 14, 1992) which means in 3 years he roughly had two weeks off weeks a year and the rest was a strict deadline week in week out drawing and writing Jojo's. He had a week off before starting Part 4, and Part 4 ran for 172 chapters for 186 Weeks (April 21, 1992 - November 13, 1995) or 3.5 years which means he got four weeks off per year which is what Jump gives their big sellers I guess. Careful with all that free time.
Araki went directly into Part 5 without a break and it ran 155 chapters in 176 weeks (November 20, 1995 - April 5, 1999) which translates to roughly 5 weeks off a year which is still 47 weeks of strict deadlines he met. He got a very well deserved break from the end of Part 5 to Part 6 starting of 8 months which is really nice hopefully he got some sleep.
Part 6 ran for 176 weeks for 158 chapters (December 7, 1999, to April 21, 2003) for 3 years so he got roughly 6 weeks off each year. Part 7 started as a weekly series as well before shifting to monthly, so the break between part 6 and 7 was 9 and a half months (i wanna add as well these "breaks" were the time he spent planning the story, designing characters etc).
The last of Araki's time writing weekly manga before switching over to monthly was 38 weeks though Part 6 I can't seem to find whether he took breaks or not.
That's a hectic 16 years of nearly consistent work and by the time he was done writing weekly he'd had around 2 years and some change of free time where he wasn't turning in weekly manga on a deadline that's caused other mangaka health issues. The fact Jojo is as consistent as it is despite near constant work during each Part is incredible and I just try to give Araki a break.

As someone who just completed the part 6 anime, I never understood all the confusion around this part. I thought Made in Heaven was thoroughly explained and made sense. The ending was great and super cathartic even if bittersweet. "My name....is Emporio" 😢

A lot of people just speed-read Stone Ocean so they can skip to Steel Ball Run as soon as possible, because other Jojo fans tell them to do so. Much like "Citizen Kane is the best movie of all time," people believe "Stone Ocean is the worst Jojo part" because they've been told so and lack either the motivation or critical thinking to decide for themselves.
None of this even gets into the superiority complex some Jojo fans have, thinking that because they read Jojo that somehow proves how smart and exceptional they are. Yet they can barely follow the basic narrative half the time, much less keep track of Stand abilities, character motivations, or basic linear time.

Honestly. I think memes are like misinformation propaganda-like weapons lol. People can make a meme but transform the meme to something far from its original source or altered to becoming a different meme. Or, if something fun, even if inaccurate, happens, then it can blow up and become a meme and people will think the meme is correct. (Like "I am a stegosaurus" from ASDFmovie)
honestly I am glad in someway, because I've always thought I had the ending spoiled by the memes, but it turns out there was so much more that I didn't know that make it a way better ending that I was lead to believe prior

@@omgdin that was not a happy ending. they just rewrote the entire storyline past part 2 and destroyed the whole kujo family. it’s not like the characters we knew are free of the curse. no it’s a whole new universe with different characters that never had the curse to begin with.
I actually understood Pucci's plan after hearing his monologue to Emporio. "Why do people meet?" and "Do you believe in gravity?" are amazing lines that say a lot about Pucci. In his backstory he lost his sister because of a crazy turn of event that he unknowingly caused. The reason why in his "Heaven" people are basically living their usual lives but know their fate is exactly thin that. After this no one can undergo the suffering that Pucci, Perla and Weather weht through. I find it a very interesting detail that sadly was overlooked by many.
It provides context for his character! A lot of people miss this. Pucci can't feel guilty and did nothing wrong if the calamity was always meant to happen. Instead of repenting for his mistake, he doubles down. This leads to the thesis of part 6's writing which explains that even though pucci was trying to control fate, in the end it doesn't matter as "Walking the path of Justice is fate itself." That's the most important philosophical foundation for JoJo and people glaze right over it :(

I've always read that as a message saying "things won't change unless you have the willpower to change them," which is a very optimistic and powerful message to send to young people.

About Anusui, I like your theory better. People often jump to say he is trans, but I think he just being in a female form to stalk Jolyne more easily, fits him perfectly and is completely in character.
I think the obsession over trans Anusui is just overeactive western fans who view everything in a sexual light while the real awnser is just that Araki deciding to change his mind later.

I like the headcanon that Anusui _was_ a girl, but after realizing Jolyne was straight, changed her body into a man's body so they could be together. I wouldn't even call it "transitioning" since it's just something else entirely via use of magic psychic powers, done for entirely different reasons.

It took me a long time to want to finish Stone Ocean, even as a big Jojo fan. I read it slow and comprehensively, and when I ultimately *did* finish it, with that absolutely *incredible* ending... I think I love it.
It makes me reevaluate the story and characters in such an interesting way, and I *never* would have guessed that what happened to Foo Fighters was acting as metaphysical foreshadowing to the finale, in which "people" still exist, but not the *same* people.
Life is a time and place. Any *one* of the factors of your life served to make you who you are. What a wonderful world, indeed.
I also think Stone Oceans ending is very good but the rest was mostly kinda “meh” imo which lead to me needing about half a year to finish it. I finished it two weeks ago or so and am now halfway through Steel Ball Run. I don't know what the big difference is between the two parts that caused this difference in reading-speed but there has to be something 🤔

I hope the anime clears up the confusion like how part 5 cleared up some assumed discrepancies. I hope people come around to Stone Ocean. Or at least criticize it with actual faults in the story.
Watching this after the Anime (I have not read the Manga), I found most of this video to be stuff I already understood. I think the Anime did a good job of highlighting the important points to the story, although I'll be honest the "Pucci is exempt from fate in MIH that's why emporio needed Pucci to push the disk" bit did slip past me. Yet, the discussion about Pucci and Weather's race does seem to come into question after the anime. It shows Pucci's father to be significantly darker skinned than in the Manga, so I wonder what you would make of that. When I was watching, it made sense to me that the KKK didn't go after Pucci (who I'm assuming is black) for several reasons. A- Pucci is the employer of the investigator. As racist as some people may be, money speaks volumes. B- Pucci has not committed any "crimes" a racist would consider worthy of lynching like weather did, as mixed-raced relations are despised by many of these people. In short, Pucci had not offended the man. C- To the Investigator, it probably seemed like Pucci was on his side, as Pucci aided in the breakup of a mixed-race relationship.
And also, I think, the Investigator have remarked that Pucci came from a renown family and ask why he hired him. "Pucci replies it's not his business to ask and he'll pay double if he succeed."
The KKK probably doesn't want to get in trouble with a renown family that are well known in the city and could highly use that "double the payment money" after all.
Meanwhile Wes (Weather) is known as nobody, nothing notable about him in social status, and if he dies, no one except his mother would cause uproar.
There's also just no reason for the private investigator to attack Pucci on sight, it would be really weird if as soon as he walked into his office the KKK guy pulled a gun on him or something.

I heard a lot of hate about part 6 before starting the anime without anyone actually going into detail of why they hated it, now I’ve finished part 6 and I’m so glad I didn’t listen to them because while I wouldn’t say it was my favourite I still very much enjoyed it. Considering how people found part 5 the worst due to confusion regarding the manga that was cleared in the anime, this is probably going to be very much true.
Too be fair, the Western fanbase was justified in hating Vento Aureo unlike with Stone Ocean. The original part 5 manga translations were dogshit and still taint the reputation of the part to this day. With part 6 there's literally no excuse. They clearly just shut off their peabrains and skimmed through the part. Stone Ocean's anime adaptation better pull a Vento Aureo and redeem the fanbase's stupid opinion.
I Still think part 5 is bad and I never once used it's poor translation as an excuse, following the plot wasn't hard, it was just painful to sit through when I was already 5 steps ahead of the character waiting for them to catch up. It's badly paced and a lot of it's big plot moments don't feel well thought out at all. Diavolo was the best part of it by far and he is my favorite villain with my favorite stand but he is the ONE good thing I will give part 5. I hated everything else.

I liked Part 6 too. I think my favorite Stands were Whitesnake, Diver Down and Jail House Lock. Since Whitesnake had dialogue, I got the impression that he symbolized Pucci's desires while attaining Heaven from the way he spoke. Diver Down's ability to dive down and assume control of whatever it dives into and rearrange it from the inside out. That's pretty interesting. JHL took a while for me to understand until a trip into the Stardust Crusaders subreddit helped me understand that it locks its victims in their memories. Only a villain could have something that twisted.

Thank you for clarifying these misconceptions! I really enjoyed that you went through the ending, as I got a bit confused when I first read part 6.
I initially thought that with Pucci resetting the timeline, he had killed off the main cast, and when Emporio killed him the timeline reverted to something akin to an alternate universe.
But when you said that upon Pucci's defeat, the main cast was still alive and turned into better versions of themselves, it made so much more sense, and I felt I got a way clearer message for what Araki was actually going for with Part 6's ending.

To those attempting to 'debunk' the debunk on "Pucci's foot" with Vanilla Ice's vampirism:
Vanilla Ice was turned into a vampire due to him recieving a blood transfusion, turning him into a vampire. Pucci's foot was a physical deformation, and vampires are known to have mastery over flesh. The pillar men are examples of such a statement, by being able to bend and deform their bodies at will and immediately turning it back to normal with no damage whatsoever, not even a sprain. Wammu (If I recall correctly) fused together the hands of the Soldiers in the same part when he was freed, and they died on the spot, proving that using such mastery over flesh does not accidentally cause vampirism.
Correcting the bone and flesh of Pucci's foot would not cause vampirism for this reason.
Yeah, I like how people forget that Dio could literally insert his hand into people's flesh without wounding them unless he felt like it.
Dude, honestly, I believed that whole thing about how “Pucci won in Part 6” when I read through it because I misunderstood. I honestly believed that Araki was just sick of dealing with the Joestar bloodline and wanted to soft reboot the series. It made me hate Part 6 and everything after it because I thought the sacrifices of the Joestars and the others were just tossed away like nothing. I feel like once part 6 get animated it will be one of the most beloved parts.
Lucca Britto Part 5 is one of my least favorite parts. The protagonist is kinda meh for me, and not that many memorable fights in my opinion. It does have Narancia and Diavolo, which are two of my favorite JoJo’s characters.

People who think part skippers are worse than mass murderers speedreading Part 6 to get to Part 7 because they think the part skipper rule doesnt apply to them: "PaRt 6 BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

You could tell that, despite his calm voice, Hamon Beat is getting sick of the fandom's ignorance.
He can't even sound mad or people will start saying he's excusing the araki forgot by stretching things, which happened with few parts review before this
People try to say things like “this stand can revive the dead so Araki forgot” when nobody considers the fact that Jotaro could just be wrong. It’s not like Jotaro knows everything about every stand ever.
Yeah, obviously Jotaro is a literal god with intelligence that goes beyond the physical realm. Not like he can ever be wrong? Right? Right?

Huh, I find it really cool how this video actually answers all the questions I had after finishing watching the part 6 anime for the first time. I didn't hate it at all, and I never pretended like it was Araki's fault I was confused. I just got taken off guard at how fast the pacing got after they all broke out of jail to pursue Pucci. That was a lot more plotwists to take in than I was prepared for. But I feel like I got a proper grasp on everything now, thank you. (Although I guess some of the confusion could be attributed to shoddy subtitles translation as well, but I don't feel like looking into it)
Gotta say, after coming back and watching this video once I watched the part 6 anime adaptation, I’m very glad about all the “spoilers” of Pucci winning and other various misunderstandings I had heard. What a way to be surprised at the end!
