I was born and raised in Maryland and in 2000 we deserted and moved to Delaware. I’m 81 and love Dan’s music. (Even the heavy metal). To me he has one of the best voices of today. He’s striving for one million TH-cam subscribers and I think he deserves them and would love to see it happen. His opera covers are my favorites, though.
I don't think the original can be topped but Dan Vasc has never put out a bad cover. This is still incredible. But I just can't chose anybody over Roy, I love that man!
He pulls the audience straight into the world he is creating with the song. Listening vs. hearing. An excellent description of the difference. Dan Vasc insures you do not stand outside the emotional world the song is weaving; he embeds you into it.
Great reaction! Just one little thing - I think hearing and listening should be reversed. Hearing is what you do when you're not dialed in and 100% focused. For example, as I type this, I'm hearing the traffic on the road outside my window, but I'm not locked in and focused in on it. Listening, though, is what you do when you are locked in and focused. For proof of this, consider these lines from The Sound Sound of Silence - "People people talking without speaking, people hearing without listening." Dan crushes that song, too, as well as For All. I'll watch reactions to any Dan songs, though.

I finally realized why Dan's performances have affected me so completely. TRUST! I know I can just let go and enter the world that he is creating. No games, no harmful hidden meanings to mess up my subconscious. Just Dan's interpretation of his song of choice. And Daniel, you don't have to apologize for not having the right words. i will agree it is a great cover. Just the fact trying to cover a Roy Khan song, and doing it justice is tough., Dan managess that. He has a great voice, but my preferance goes to the original.
