With no personal experience but quite a bit of research, lard type pigs like the kunekune make wonderful jowl bacon but very fatty belly bacon . what are your thoughts if you have tried jowl bacon?
Congratulations on the bacon bitd in the ovens 😂 Exactly why we're raising our kunes! forest maintenance and meat. Ours 3 guilys are 18 months +/- 1 and have yet to breed with our single boar. Its good to see what i have to look forward to at some point 😎

Save a belly one day and try pork belly burnt ends. So delicious, just melts in your mouth. I call it pork candy.
