cancer killed my mom before my birthday. i feel so broken. my mom means everything to me. people don’t know what i’m going through. but my mom had her last surgery in February. she had a total of 5 surgeries. 3 surgeries less than 2 years. the last surgery i felt like my mom was just tired of going to hospitals and keep getting surgeries. it hurt to watch my mom leave. i gave her a speech deep down my heart that i hardly speak of. my mom was so strong. she fought for 17 years. here’s the story ; it was during spring break , i went to palm springs with my aunts and my cousins. tha last day when we were leaving palm springs , my dad called and said my mom was sick and had a fever. i thought it wasn’t so bad bc it didn’t have anything to do wit her brain tumor / cancer. but once i got home my dad told us that while we were at palm springs my mom had a really bad seizure to the point where she would shake non stop and couldn’t really get up or anything. my dad called tha hospital and they came and they said “ she’s just cold “ my dad got mad & rushed her to the hospital hisself. so my mom was in a regular room that night , me and my whole family rushed to the hospital and as i walked in , i broke down crying. i saw my mom laying there with her mouth open and a tube inside her. and i saw my dad breaking down. i never saw my dad cry before ever. my dad is not the type of guy to ever cry. he was with my mom for 18 years so i don’t really know what or how he’s taking this. i’m only 13 now. but i would’ve never thought this would happen to my mom. every time i would walk into the hospital room my mom would look perfectly fine and she would be happy moving around. this time i just saw my mom laying on the bed & breathing weird and heavily. my heart hurts til this day. and i feel so empty. Rest Up Mommy. april 8th ; 5:05 pm 😪💔.

He died in my arms of stage 4 cancer of the esophagus.
Lived 4 months only, also we found out it was in his lymph nodes, that's the day half of me died with him.😭😭😭

I am a preschool teacher and beautiful 5 year old I worked with for a year and a half passed away of AML Leukemia in December 2013. I still cry often and I think about her daily. Such beautiful children taken too soon.

I went to primary school with a girl who had cancer, she had the same name as me. She had a classroom assistant and wasn't in school very often. I never saw her after primary 3, and I have no idea what happened to her.
She wasn't in my class when I first started school, she turned up in primary 3, so she must have moved schools.

My name is Victoria too. When I was a baby my dad had cancer. Not once but twice. It was really hard. My great grandma had breast cancer & lung cancer at the same time. She died when I was I believe was in 2nd or 3rd grade. It was really hard for me. She would always get me the hospital apple juice. She had a butterfly book that I would always read. Seeing my grandma with the machine & mask over her face was so hard. But she in a better place. I love u grandma

So sorry for your loss. My dad passed away from a rare form of lymphoma that actually looks very much like leukemia in the initial tests but is much worse for an adult prognosis wise. I'll never forget the entire family around my dad and the doctor stood next to a white board in his hospital room and wrote down leukemia then wrote down anaplastic lymphoma under that. He then said " this is one of these two things written on the board... leukemia has a 5 year survival rate in most adults who undergo aggressive treatment and we are praying this is leukemia because the other words written on this board have no survival" .. thankfully now there are those who have survived the cancer that took my dad 13 years ago July 13th 2007 but when he was diagnosed he was case#13 worldwide. It broke our family to the point that 8 months after my dad passed, my grandpa also passed he couldn't handle losing his child while still living himself. Cancer is such an awful thing it doesn't care who you are, how much money you have, what gender or race you identify with. It simply takes over and tries to destroy everything it touches so to speak. My sympathy is with you and your family as well as this little girl and her family, because, I know this pain all too well.

As sad as it is, the wonderful thing is that she was so loved and had a great life while she was here, surrounded by such a caring family. A lot of children/people don’t have such a wonderful family/life. It may have ended too soon, but what there was-minus the leukemia- was lovely and there’s comfort in that. I wish she could have beat it- such a shame. Victoria sounds like she was a great person.

I felt this story and the pain that went with it. My brother got diagnosed at the age of 7 with brain cancer and he was my best friend. He had been battling until 3 years ago when he sadly passed away in October right before his birthday. I think this girl is so pretty and so special. all people on this world have a purpose and her purpose is to inspire and encourage. It sounds like God sent down an angel...whom sadly was on loan for a very short time. But she was sent down for a purpose...she had a job to do, and she did it very well. It sounds like to me she affected many peoples lives in the most wonderful of ways. She was here, she mattered and she inspired. When God seen that she accomplished the work he had given her he loved her so much and missed his angel and called her back home. To her Mom and Dad...you will be with her again for all eternity...no sickness will live in heaven.

I’m not sure why or how I came across this video. I am so sorry for your loss. My son Dustin was diagnosed with ALL 9/13/2001. We did three years of chemo...he has been cured since 2009 and turns 22 this May! God is good and just know that your baby girl is in the arms of our Savior Jesus! 😘

This just makes me cry 😭 I have a friend battling the same type of cancer for the fourth time and has a twin brother he had a stroke bc if his meds and he was energetic played baseball and just fainted and was rushed to the hospital and he is over 1,000 miles away from his family and home In Philadelphia my school has been so supportive helping his family with money and in the courtyard we would all go and have a moment to pray for him and talk to his twin brother but you know all you can do is pray sometimes and for Victoria people prayed and prayed but it wasn’t enough and it sucks RIP VICTORIA ❤️❤️😭😭😭😭

Wow,this makes me appreciate my health and life in general. She had such a wonderful life and left too soon. Just saying and this is what I learned,don't complain about your hair not being the way you wanted. Don't complain about not having a perfect body. I can't imagine what this girl and her family went through. This was very sad to watch,but we all have some battle.

I've been learning a bit about oncology for 2 years, and I have a pretty good talent with rainbow loom. I just donated $20 of my profits to St. Jude's. I know it's not a lot, but I just say that that $20 was 4 hours of my life, dedicated to helping Cancer patients, and even if that's not much for other people, im proud of what I did :)
