Very enjoyable Gav. Loved the Emu V Eagle footage, nearly had the shot. Regarding the nuclear material, the enriched Uranium was flown from England via the RAF to Australia, direct to site and assembled in situ for the first test, i believe the same for the second. Remote detonation, not air dropped. Might i recommend, "equinox, a very British bomb" for a bit of back story for you. Cheers Moose.
Because the camera was forward facing you couldn't see but we were scrambling to get long lens camera gear ready the whole time and that bloody emu in front of me wouldn't get out the way hahah
Great camera work. You should look up “Mustangs at Emu” on TH-cam for an amazing story about recovering a P51 Mustang from the air field there. Looking forward to the next instalment 👍
Howdy mate. I’m finally up your way travelling from Vic all the way to Perth via the Kimberly. Now heading through your patch the Pilbara and wondering if you’ve got any good location tips. ESP near the beach. We’ll do nova lol area but currently heading south from Broome. Thinking we’ll skip Karinjini as we’ve been before. Cheers mate any help appreciated dano.
I just found your channel!!! i my self also love my drones, over landing and photography! so needless to say i love the videos you do. great editing and work you all do... i have one question? Do you have a UHF and VHF antenna on your truck? was wondering why 2 of them?(what brand antenna) was also wondering what frequency's you use there? thanks and keep up the good work. i hope someday to visit AU.. usa here. cheers mate!
Cheers mate, both aerials are UHF one is 8.2db the other 6.6db. I'm glad you're enjoying the content. I'm looking forward to touring the USA someday :)
Hi Jacob, thats a great question and a difficult one to answer because it depends a lot on the water crossing. In shallow water where there is a steep muddy bank on the other side, momentum will play a part in getting you out of the water so I would have traction control off. In a slow speed, deeper crossing I would leave the traction aids on and depending on the water flow I would also consider letting more air out of the tyres to increase my footprint and improve traction. Hope that helps and thank you for the question :D
Good vid but not sure running emus to exhaustion is a good thing. I'm doing this trip in 3 weeks and I'll be leaving the chooks alone - it's their country, not mine.....
Great trip Gav!! Thanks for putting the work in fella.
Nice one Gav and guys. Thank you very much.
Great work Gav .
Great work as always Gav. Cheers Steve

Hello, could you tell me if there is water at Neale Junction as can't see on the video or pics

Because the camera was forward facing you couldn't see but we were scrambling to get long lens camera gear ready the whole time and that bloody emu in front of me wouldn't get out the way hahah

Gav how much fuel did you use from Coober Pedy to Laverton
Hi Robert, roughly 260L but I also did many side trips including down the Connie Sue. Total distance, just under 1800km
Gavin Gillett
Thanks Gavin. I’m considering doing Coober Pedy to Perth next year.
Fantastic as always Gav.
Quick question, unrelated to the video, but related to the truck, traction control in a water crossing. On or off in the 200?

@@GavinGillett appreciate you taking the time mate. Sound advice as always.

Yeah, 50 yards from animals is the general rule. He should have stopped and let them figure it out without the stress of being chased by a truck.
@@stephenlloydco I hear you!
Yeah not good, I always pull over and let them find there way off the track and that includes camels.
No Emu's were hurt in the filming of this series :D You think thats bad wait till you see the Camels.
@@GavinGillett Over my shed door I have 3 camel leg bones I found in the Simmo :-)
you only have to be faster than the slowest one..... so sad but so true!
I used to say that to motivate my Surf Life Cadets when they expressed concern about sharks : D
Harassing local is not cool.
