No, the only negative I have so far is that when I use noise cancellation in a quiet setting, it cuts off the first word I say. Shoot me a DM on my insta ( instagram.com/general_buckles/ ) will help you trouble shoot that. Thinking it could be an issue with the connection between the mic and camera.
So you have to extract the audio from the mic's or does it record to the video on any device you use? If you were using a mirrorless camera for instance, is the audio on the recording or do you have to add it in post? Thanks.
Sorry no, it always feeds through the receiver to whatever device you have it plugged in to, so your dslr will record the audio, but as an OPTION you can also record it locally on the mic… and then just pull it off later. The audio on the camera will be a single track of mixed audio from both mics, while the recording on the mic will just be that persons audio.
@@adonisfong8821 No, you plug the receiver into the phone and the phone records the audio. If you want, you can also record the same audio to the microphone at the same time as a back up.
@@adonisfong8821 basically, it will transmit the audio to the receiver, but it also records the audio to the "lav"'s internal memory at the same time. this is good because if you get interference for some reason during the recording, you can then grab the audio file from the "lav" - which will never have interference and put that audio over the original audio in post.
If you’re recording straight to your camera or phone, the audio is part of the video file. If you’re recording onboard the microphone itself, yes… plug the mic into a computer via usb , it acts like a thumb drive… just find the audio file and transfer
Well done, audio sync issue aside, excellent review. If I understand it correctly you can basically take just one mic with you, record your sound and add to it to your edit correct ? 4GB storage in each mic then ? That 4GB storage is not in the receiver right ? Or does it have its own 4GB as well ? It sounds well and the price is right. If that is the case I found my mic. One more irrelevant question, I'm going through a process of finding a new pair of glasses, I like yours, which ones would those be if you happen to know and are willing to share ? Thank you.
Thank you. 1 : Audio Sync.. I think I'm finally seeing this issue many of you have pointed out. I'm recording straight to OBS through a Rebel T6i DSLR via capture card. Could this be a settings issue? Bit rates? any suggestions welcome. 2: Some of the documentation implies that the RECEIVER can record as well... I haven't tested to confirm that yet. But I will. 3: YES, you could just grab the mic, take it with you and record stuff without anything else. 4: The glasses are Columbia , about 5-6 years old.. don't know if they're sold any more, a quick google indicates they might be the COLUBIA 3003 . They are a bit heavy though...I don't like them as much as my OAKLY's seen here---> th-cam.com/video/q5zwa2wNEGM/w-d-xo.html
@@GeneralBuckles It's only when you are in studio (green screen) that the audio is out of sync, should be an easy fix in the timeline of your video editing software, not sure what your workflow is so it is hard to tell what happened. Not familiar with OBS, but even if OBS recorded your audio out of sync (looks like latency issue), you should be able fix that in your editor. What do you edit in ? Thank you for the info, that explains a lot and I'm liking it. Yes those Oakleys look great too, seems like we like the same style of frames.
Hi there, YES it's EXACTLY the same product as the FULAIM, just different name printed on the box.... there's another video in the description of this one, it explains the whole OEM / White Label relationship between the companies selling these.
I bought these and turn everything on and film. But when I playback and I go into another room to test if it can hear me it doesn’t record my voice. Am I missing something?
I’m not sure I follow…. During playback you’re leaving the room? 1: check the readout on the receiver screen to ensure the Mic is A: connected to the receiver and B: Registering levels. 2: Check the connection of the receiver to the phone/camera. ie: Some cameras have settings that enable/disable audio recording
Is there a quality difference to let's say Rode wireless GO when I'm using an external lavalier microphone anyway? Like, the same lav on neewer and on rode. Is there going to be a difference?
Quality difference in the final product? Probably but that greatly depends on the user and the use case. You can buy the most expensive, high-end gear and not know how to get the most out of it... so the final product is "meh".... you can also have a Pro use some Mid equipment and make a BANGER. If your end product is youtube videos like mine , there might not be a noticeable difference , especially if people are just watching on their laptops or phones... if the output devices can't do high-end gear justice , your money will have gone to waste.
@@GeneralBuckles thanks for the answer. My final product is either TH-cam videos or reels for social media. Nothing high end. I am also using the wireless mic setup as a live performance microphone. So my setup is: Lav or headset mic --> rode TX --> rode RX --> camera or Bose S1 Pro. I do only minor editing. So you're saying my audience will not hear a difference?! Edit: typo
@@Fr0ggy91 I really couldn't say for sure if they'll hear a difference... especially between two solid brands like RODE & BOSE ....your best bet would be to do a side by side test (if you already have them both) .... hell make THAT a live session where you switch back & forth and see which ones your viewers think sounds better....

Something Zhizhen probably didn’t anticipate when they made the receiver. @@Confidence-on-camera Did you get it yet? I'm wondering how it would work with my S22. I ordered some mics a year ago and they don't sound all that great and have too hot of input into my S22. I think for me (pro) I’d prefer the new rode wireless bc of them being a microphone company instead of a “3rd party” me too vendor. Also ride’s 32 but recording seems like a win win. Even the go2 are more capabilities.
Well yes, though some people don’t want to spend that much $$$ on decent sound. But to each their own. What’s a “me too” vendor ? Haven’t heard this term in that context before.
This performs very well and is considerably cheaper. Check out some DJI reviews to compare specifics … if you’re a hard core audiophile DJI may have some particular attributes that matter to you.

just tested it. I'm afraid it's not possible. Not enough room. Also , looks like there's metal contacts on the inside top of the lid that need to touch the mic's to initiate the charging , so the muff would block that.
@@DavidAdlawan Depends on the case but if not… amazon has usbc dongles that might. (And yes, 3.5mm mic jack on both transmitters, so a standard lav will work)

Very Happy to Hear that!!! Stop back here with any feedback or notes YOU come up with
How do you get the audio to computer? Are you using the usb c to computer to download?
Great review and comparison, thanks for sharing!
Absolutely my pleasure, thanks for the feedback
Mate clear review, thank you 🤝 Could you recomend a good Mic for singing within the same work space...
The Shure SM57 gets great marks for affordability and performance,,, or do you mean for wireless singing?
Great review man thank you!
Dude, thank you! 🙏🏼 I’ve been having lots of fun with all this youtubery lately… if you get/got the mic, let me know what you think of it
Does it have the UV desinfecting function the same as the Fulaim?
Hi there, YES it's EXACTLY the same product as the FULAIM, just different name printed on the box.... there's another video in the description of this one, it explains the whole OEM / White Label relationship between the companies selling these.
okay this is nice !! im going to buy one
That’s great to hear! 👂 come back & let us know how you like it
Nice video ! Thanks it was really helpful ! Keep the good work 🙌
Thanks a lot, appreciate the feedback
I bought these and turn everything on and film. But when I playback and I go into another room to test if it can hear me it doesn’t record my voice. Am I missing something?
I’m not sure I follow…. During playback you’re leaving the room?
1: check the readout on the receiver screen to ensure the Mic is A: connected to the receiver and B: Registering levels.
2: Check the connection of the receiver to the phone/camera. ie: Some cameras have settings that enable/disable audio recording
Any progress?
@@GeneralBuckles I bought an iPhone 15 and they work. Haha
@@DetailingBreakdown OUTSTANDING!
@@Fr0ggy91 but ... I will say... from a comfort and mobility perspective, while being on camera.... I prefer to NOT wear a headset unless I'm gaming or recording a pod where headphones are necessary.
I just ordered this.
Oustanding, hope you find it as useful as I do!
Does the receiver sit in the charger with the usb c or lightning adapter attached, or do you have to remove it every time?
No it has to be attached to whatever device you’re piping the audio to. If you’re just going to record straight to the mic, you can leave it in there
can you record internally and to receiver at the same time ? and both transmitters have that feature or just one ?
RE: NEEWER CM28 … #techtips wireless microphone features . For content creators #videography
Let me know if that answers your questions
@@GeneralBuckles yea! perfect answer , thanks!
Awesome. I learned quite a bit!
Thanks!! 👏🏽Glad to hear it !!
I thought I had my mind made up and was set on Comica until I came across this video. Looking for a budget option, there certainly is no shortage, is there?
Yeah it’s a pretty saturated sector for sure. There’s 2 follow-up videos as well , provide more insight into the reality of using them
Linked in the description
@@GeneralBuckles the only reason that I’m considering the Neewer over the Comica is the internal storage on the Neewer, even though I never planned to use it, but perhaps I will some day 🤷🏻♂️
@@airadaimagery692 It really is nice to have…. Has come in handy a few times already .
Currently have this mic but when i put this to my iphone the receiver will drain the battery of the iphone. Any advice?
WHAT!?! I’m gonna test this, I haven’t noticed it thus far.
@@GeneralBuckles yes. i pair this with 15 Pro Max and if u can see when the receivers screen that when i plug u can see the charging animation. Please let me know if u have a solution thank you so much!
@@DavidAdlawancharging animation ON the phone or receiver?
@@GeneralBuckles The receiver
@@DavidAdlawan my initial research indicates that this is an iPhone issue … they designed it to be able to reverse charge devices. New feature on 15’s with USB-C . Something Zhizhen probably didn’t anticipate when they made the receiver. I was unaware you could charge the receiver via the USB-C output port… that a neat feature (that’s causing you some pain on this instance). Unfortunately there’s no indication you can disable reverse charging on the iPhone yet.

Well thank you
Thanks for the review. Do you know how much the receiver weighs? I'm wondering if my dji OM4 gimbal can handle the combined weight of my s23 Ultra with the receiver. Thanks again.
Receiver with USB-C dongle is 24g , or .81 oz whichever suits you. 🤘🏽
@@GeneralBuckles Thanks for the reply the OM 4 should be able to handle it. 😊😊
@@Confidence-on-camera Did you get it yet? I'm wondering how it would work with my S22. I ordered some mics a year ago and they don't sound all that great and have too hot of input into my S22. I had to go into pro video and turn it down 10db but it really needs to be turned down more. Can't remember what I had but was 2 mikes with a small receiver. Perhaps the same as what he's going to compare this one to.
Thanks for the question. I ordered the FULAIM X5 version from Amazon. Delayed in transit 😕 expected tomorrow.
@@TheXaminedLife Awesome, would love to hear your feedback / opinions after taking it for a spin. Thanks for watching
Is It possibile to use It with Mac Mini M2?
Hmmm I would imagine yes….As long as it’s got a usb-C port.
Let's not forget "Safe Track" option for Noisy surroundings like F1 race...Enjoy.... I own Fulaim X5 for about 5 months. It is good performer and this NEEWER for A$149.99 it is a steal. ..........................................I think I paid at least A$50 more.
Are you talking about the 3rd mode on the receiver … MID SIDE? Mono / Stereo / Mid-Side?
@@GeneralBuckles Yes it is displayed as "Ms" on mine.
Right, that involves using both Mic’s 🎤 at once yeah?
@@GeneralBuckles By mice you mean mike?..It is little limited. From my testing it will only work with one mike Left track 0 Db and second safety Right track -6 Db. All recorded to your audio device.
Yes 🎤, not 🐁 😂🤦🏻♂️. That’s interesting… stereo left & right on one mic… I’ll have to try it
I think for me (pro) I’d prefer the new rode wireless bc of them being a microphone company instead of a “3rd party” me too vendor. Also ride’s 32 but recording seems like a win win. Even the go2 are more capabilities.
Well yes, though some people don’t want to spend that much $$$ on decent sound. But to each their own.
What’s a “me too” vendor ? Haven’t heard this term in that context before.
This vs the DJI one?
This performs very well and is considerably cheaper. Check out some DJI reviews to compare specifics … if you’re a hard core audiophile DJI may have some particular attributes that matter to you.
@BenGleasonMedia actually did a SIDE BY SIDE on these two... check him out.
How do you actually download your audio onto a laptop or I pad ?
You plug a USB-C cable into the mic, and the computer sees it like a thumb drive... all the audio files you've recorded are on there.
