Please mention the important difference of recording 16bit (Fulaim) vs 24bit (DJI). If you need to apply a lot of compression and processing, the 16-bit can get unusable faster. For someone who shoots events this may be important as with 16-bit recording you will waste time with setting the correct level for each subject and environment to avoid heavy processing. Even if you set the right levels, you may also be taken by surprise by loud noises, laughter, loud talking from your subject and clip. With 24-bit you can set the mic at the same low level for everyone and raise it in post quite heavily without sounding bad, but you don't get the same flexibility with 16-bit audio

The signal quality is concerning to me. I prefer a lavalier mic to the large "box" that is the transmitter when recording so I limit the amount of camera gear on camera. If these transmitters are clipped to your belt or in a pocket, the distance/movement test shows me there would be a major increase in sound disruption especially with the lower cost one.

I have heard the DJI can’t record split track stereo on an iPhone when recording through the lightning port. The fulaim have very good sound quality almost the same like DJI. But what interessed me, the Fulaim X5 have UV diodes inside charging box, that disinfects transmitters after use. Interesting idea tho!
Have you tried the FULAIM X5 Wireless System on a action camera? i've recently bought Osmo Action Camera 4.. thinking to buy this Fulaim X5 on amazon.. i'm from philippines by the way :)
I tried the fulaim. I had to go with a DJI. Understand, I am using these while ebiking with my wife. She uses one and I use the other going into a GoPro. The amount of interference we got with a fulaim was completely unacceptable. The DJI has worked very well so far. That being said, if it were not for the fact of us moving it speeds of about 15 to 20 mph. along with the fact that there is generally speaking a body between the receiver and transmitter. I believe the fulaim would work just fine in most situations. Just not mine. So while I am not, in fact, using it, I have used it, and could recommend it for most situations.
So both mic’s lose signal if you or the subject isn’t in direct line of sight? I take it that these wouldn’t be a reliable option to mic up the bride/groom for a ceremony with
I am having an issue with this mic but not sure why. When I connect it to iPhone 15 Pro using the usb-c port, the recording is choppy and cuts in and out. But with every other device including iPad Pro and other android devices, it works fine. It also worked fine with my previous iPhone using the lighting adapter provided. Only with the 15 pro it doesn't work properly. What could be causing this?
Unless you're doing unimportant hobby projects, never cheap out on audio gear. There are a thousand potential issues you might run into long after the purchase, and they can definitely ruin your footage. Interferences, electronic components breaking over time... I would rather go with equipment that has stood the test of time, than going with something new and fancy. Even buying that DJI mic is kind of testing your luck.
Fulaim X5: The noise reduction is awful BUT if you need to hear what's going on no matter what like say in an ad-hock interview like a documentary it gets the job done. But if the audio quality is important just leave noise reduction off and or move to a better location. I'm listening to the audio tests in this video with headphones on and the two systems sound comparable. There certainly isn't £200 worth of difference. If you need pro quality don't get either of these.
Had to scroll too much for this. Processing and lifting the speaker will make the noise noticeable more easily in the 16-bit audio, especially if recording in less than ideal conditions, which is most of the time for someone who shoots for clients. However, for personal use 16-bit will do fine
Sir Video recording after sitting in the supercar and closing the door There is no sound of the car, only talking, test it like this and record a video Noise should not come i.e. carriage sound should not come only talking
So much unpleasant crunch on that fulaim kit, at several points in the video it's a really nasty clipping, and that noise reduction is unusuably bad. Seems to be some drop-shipping crap.

the Dji was great, but I don't mind the x5, they were very similar, but I know why the price of the Dji is worth the extra money its worth it
I tried the fulaim.
Out of curiosity, how are you securing the mics as you bike?
@@theAverageUpload3r I am using the DJI Mike and they are both attached to our shirts
So both mic’s lose signal if you or the subject isn’t in direct line of sight? I take it that these wouldn’t be a reliable option to mic up the bride/groom for a ceremony with
Yeah probably not, but they do have internal recording which works great and you don’t have to worry about signal loss! 👌
No you should be good. I use the Dji for weddings and they are perfect
A previous commenter said use a different usb 3.1 cable
Have you tried a different usb cable for your iphone? I am searching what right for my iphone 15 pro as well. Thank you
I contacted fulaim support, they sent me an updated dongle that works with 15 pro.@@LearnandplaywithMarcus
Even buying that DJI mic is kind of testing your luck.
you re from germany
Uhhh no. 😅 I’m in the US
Fulaim X5: The noise reduction is awful BUT if you need to hear what's going on no matter what like say in an ad-hock interview like a documentary it gets the job done. But if the audio quality is important just leave noise reduction off and or move to a better location. I'm listening to the audio tests in this video with headphones on and the two systems sound comparable. There certainly isn't £200 worth of difference. If you need pro quality don't get either of these.
Yup…
DJI needs no introduction & it’s a multi billion dollar company* lol
Comparing 16bit to 24bit is a big difference, the amount of dynamic range is pretty substantial (144db vs 96db) 32bit is 1528db 😮
Had to scroll too much for this. Processing and lifting the speaker will make the noise noticeable more easily in the 16-bit audio, especially if recording in less than ideal conditions, which is most of the time for someone who shoots for clients. However, for personal use 16-bit will do fine
DJI is better but not by as much as I thought it would be
I feel the same way!
Sir Video recording after sitting in the supercar and closing the door
There is no sound of the car, only talking, test it like this and record a video Noise should not come i.e. carriage sound should not come only talking
Sir…. What in the actual frik are you talking about?
So much unpleasant crunch on that fulaim kit, at several points in the video it's a really nasty clipping, and that noise reduction is unusuably bad. Seems to be some drop-shipping crap.
99.00 dollars right now!!!
I think I dont like noise reduction
Dji is so better 😮
🙌
Both sound too muddy and piercing, with a mid-frequency recession, I am afraid.
Don’t be scared 😏
Rather spend the extra money tbh
You realize that X5 gain is going rogue, up and down like crazy? I can hear it without having the studio started, is like you speak from a barrel.
No Bluetooth so will not work with DJI action cameras.
Can't tell the difference tbh.
for $200 less i think the fulaim is the way to go
FUNNY VIDEO-FEATURES? WHAT DO YOUR EARS TELL YOU? THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE AND THE ONLY ONE THAT MATTERS IS THE DJI SOUNDS WAY BETTER.
For a review of a microphone, the sound levels of the video are not good. I shouldn't have to wear headphones. See ya.
