wow i was so confused at the start with the shorts and back and front etc....but it is actually simple, you really DO explain EVERYTHING ...i totally overthought it, thought with all the instructions it was harder than it was :) fyi...i'm making a princess jasmine costume and using this for the pants (i liked the slit so it'll be a unique slightly interprative outfit :) :P ) Thanks for the tutorial :D

Got confused when it came to the front part. Why is the side slanted, and the slowly dragging it down part...why?? Also, why does outer seam on front part look flared while the outer seam of back part is straight. Shouldn't front and back outer seam be the same straight down? Totally confused :(

At the beginning, when you say to get 2x the length + 20cm you really mean the length of the pants (from belly to toe) or the width (one side from the hip to the other)?

I love your videos but found this one really confusing. Which is a shame because I really want to make these. It's the whole using the shorts part. Really confused xx

You can avoid some sewing by just cutting 2 pieces of fabric like you did for the non-split harem pants, fold the pieces in half and cut the crotch from the folded side. Then you don't need to sew the inseam. 😁 Essentially you'd have to trace the front curve on one side of the fold and the back curve on the other so you end up with a lopsided U shape in the middle of the top edge.

I was getting super confused by the crotch. Is she just making it bigger so that it leaves space for your booty?

I have a skirt that is like to make into harem/genie pants (it’s for a young dancer). How can I go about doing this without deconstructing the skirt?
