    ♥DIY Pantaloons - 4-yard ATS / Tribal Fusion Belly Dance Harem Pants♥
    I’ve been getting SO many requests to do ATS and tribal fusion costuming over the years :)
    Now that I got inspired to do ATS / fusion costuming, I had a problem. What should I make!?!?
    So I asked everyone on my newsletter to submit their ideas, and I decided to do one that was very popular and best of all, I'd LOVE to wear :) And that was 4-yard pantaloons!
    These pants are often called 4-yard pantaloons. They are like harem pants but much looser because there are about 2 yards of fabric around each leg!
    Let’s get started!

    I know this is an old video, but how tall are you? I'm curious as to if I need to try to make them longer for myself.

    • @sparklybelly
      @sparklybelly  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm about 5 feet tall. But the fabric width is about 100cm (39in), so they are pretty long. If you're not sure, use wider fabric 💖

    heyy love the video!! what kind of fabric would you reccomend that is breathable not see-through?? :)

    • @sparklybelly
      @sparklybelly  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Light cotton is nice! Even if it's a little see through, so much fabric will be gathered together so it might work too :)

    So how many meters of cloth are needed?

    • @sparklybelly
      @sparklybelly  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need about 4m (or 4yds) plus 30cm (12in) extra. Make sure the fabric is about 100cm (40in) wide. You can find detailed instructions on my blog here 💖: www.sparklybelly.com/diy-pantaloons-ats-tribal-fusion-belly-dance-harem-pants/

      How would this work if you are very tall? Thinking of making this as jumping stilt covers!

    Your light weight cotton looks like rayon. Can I use rayon in lieu of the cotton?

    That is the hard way of making pants! Sew CB seam, sew CF seam then sew the inseam.

      Hey I know this was posted like 3 years ago but if you want more specific search terms, voile, batiste, gauze, and sateen (light weight - most sites will say) are all lightweight cotton fabrics!
      Otherwise, shirt weight linen, or rayon challis would work well for these too, I reckon!

    Hi! I love your videos! I wanted to ask you, which is your sewing machine that you normally use to do all the belly costumes with all those difficult fabrics??? Mine is broken so I have to buy one new... I’m a little lost!
