  • Carpinus orientalis more or less finished project. It has been in training for 10 years. This could easily be a final pot. Already very dense with a completed crown. Just details remain to finalise.

Always a joy to see your content. Missing the old intro music, though.

The tree looks really spectacular Sebastian and the ramification is coming along nicely! But during this video, I could not get my eyes off of this pot! It is shouting for attention with its colours and motive and it is even overpowering your massive tree! I believe your unique and wonderful tree should be the star of this story and not the pot. A pot more neutral to emphasize your wonderful natural-looking tree would be a better choice in my humble opinion. Thanks for posting this very informative video's for us all to enjoy and keep them coming, my friend! 👏👏👏
    Cheers,
    Hans van Meer.

      Thanks Hans...
Well...in time the pot could change...for now as I do not have a better one :) this one is my only and closest option.
But you have a good eye and I will surely look for something better...in any way better.
This is for me an ever going mission...to find the right pot. I do not have many to choose from and most of my trees are very big....so this is also a problem.
So I am a bit slow in the process. But...there is no goal to achieve for me in bonsai...that's my way of thinking...it's the journey that's fun.
      Thanks for your constructive advice.

@@SandevBonsai Well Sebastian, first of all, I hope you did not mind my comment but that tree is sooooo good that it deserves an equally good pot to balance it!!! I know the problem of finding the right pot, especially for the bigger trees! You cant take them with you when you go hunting for the right pot and it is mostly a gamble! A very expansive gamble!!! 😜😁 I have spent most of this afternoon going to your video's and enjoyed my self very much...although I must say that I am a bit jealous to see all those Yamadori adventures you have! 🤩😉 I even forgot to eat! 😊 Keep posting them to make us all happy my friend!!! 👌👏👏
      Cheers,
      Hans van Meer.

Hans...I am very honoured when I hear you watch my videos and think good about my trees. When it comes from you then it means a lot.
      Thanks once again.
That's it for now with videos from Walters edition. When I start work...winter work on trees...I will record some more....but those will be a workshop videos. There is a long long winter to survive in waiting for spring and there is no better way than time consuming hours of wiring :)

Hello Sebastian, I have one question if I may ask you. Is it possible to collect trees now in january? I'm ftom Slovakia and it's really good weather actually here. Thank you very much. .....Love your trees...

    • @SandevBonsai
      @SandevBonsai  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Of course...if you have good weather and ground is not frozen...
Deciduous trees do not care as long as they are dormant
Just do not let new tree freezes during the rest of the winter but put it in a frost sheltered place at close to 0 C temperatures
And let it be damp and not soaking wet nor completely dry
Trees can dry out during winter also
      All the best
