Narration is painful and faulty too. Please improve the pronunciation since it is really painful to hear. Besides narration doesn't makes any sense because there is no explanation. We can already read what's on the screen.

To be honest I found his accent rather charming. It reminded me of the Asians I used to know many years ago. - Making synthetic leather seems to be a long process! Lovely piano music.

It seems this process for making artificial leather is proprietary as only part of the steps are explained. To overcome the burden of trying to comprehend what is being said, here a condensed summary:
    - We start with *allocating 'the' semi-finished pulp* (allocating to what or where? and pulp? made from what? and semi-finished? then what was done with it before?)
    - Next, it is now time for 'placing' 'the' CLOTH, although no word on how it got in this state from being pulp, let alone about where or onto what it would be 'placed'
    - After that, the subterranean voice man talks coagulation, which actually would mean glueing in a semi-natural way. note: wasn't it already be made into 'cloth'?
(Visually, with almost every step we see fabric rolling over rollers, not much else.)
    - Next, we send cloth to 'the' 'device'. What device he is talking about is not known, it seems that every processing step would require one or multiple devices. At this point a sewing machine that is doing some double stitching is pictured (on what appears to be a cotton dress).
    - After 'presolidification' things happen to the pattern, and we 'place the base'.
    - At this point, it is time for a *HOT TEMPER WITH SIX RULERS* (tho the subtitles call it six rollers). Make sure at this point, that it is not 5 or 7 rollers or rulers. That would ruin it.
We notice that we should be controlling the moisture to keep it smoothly. I suspect for some this will will clarify the thing with tempering the rulers.
    - Though coloring has already been done inbetween 1 and 2, we here encounter a painting machine, which we don't see, and simultaneously paste 'SNURRY' to the surface.
    - After some less interesting other things, like solidification, baking, then straightening and washing, it now is time for cleaning 'the' DMF. DMF?
    - Then follow some more minor steps, after which our material enters the second baking oven, where repeatedly things happen to the 'snurry' and after three previous full painting steps that I partially forgot to mention, it now is time for 'baking the snurry to the half-dye'. Then, the cloth goes into a third baking oven.
More things I forgot so far: place the paper, 'selecting the new newspaper as a patter', and 'drawing the snurry', which you do right before it goes into the second baking oven. Then cooing. Later also: unwinding 'awaiting', more unwinding, unbossing and placing on 'the table'. Please read instructions carefully, as I accept no legal responsability for any malfunctions!

How does it hold up to the elements. I saw a nice faux biker jacket on line. Will it last or does it break down in time..

I would have liked it more if the video only had subtitle without the narrator speaking like an American lol

It has the same properties as real leather but didn't require any animals to be tortured and murdered. I dare people to watch a video of how "real" leather is "made" before making another leather purchase.

I read somewhere that faux leather and bonded leather has between 10-20% shredded genuine leather in it, so yes some animals were used but only a very small proportion. Somebody can correct me here. Plus faux leather has some environmental concerns too during the manufacturing process and the faux leather releases some chemicals over time and deteriorates, so unfortunately not very environmentally friendly either.
