    Holy COW! I got these from Amazon delivered today, I’ve already made a batch of spaghetti and fettuccini noodles and I am AMAZED!i used ac dry simple recipe of one cup flour, one egg, 2 - 3 tbs of water and a pinch of salt. I kneaded it on the counter and let rest for 10 minutes then ran it through the roller as prescribed in the video, cooked the spaghetti like she did and ate it. I will NEVER buy pre-made noodles again. This is just too easy!

    Good demo. It's not necessary to completely removed the locking screw to change the heads. You'll eventually drop it at an inconvenient moment and it will roll under the stove or someplace where you'll need to stop, get down on your hands and knees, dig it out, and have to wash your hands again before you can get back to work.

    Great instruction video. I had never made pasta before and our attachment has been in the closet for ten years without ever being used. It was much easier with the video than the instruction book.

    I normally don't subscribe to channels but I'm going to be honest I'm going to subscribe to your channel because you were very informative on what you were doing and you did not play God awful music or any music during your demonstration was very easy to understand what you were trying to do thank you

    The black knob only needs to be loosened, not necessary to remove it completely to remove or add accessories. Great job, very informative.

    I’ve been using this system for a long time. Perfect pasta every time. I recently went to a dinner invite and was asked to bring my attachments. I didn’t know why until I got there. The host wanted to have a pasta dinner. He at least had the pasta dough made. With the assistance of the host’s GF, we made Fettucini in about 1/2 hour. The host had a clothes drying rack in the basement which we used paper towels over the drying dowels and had dinner on time.

    Hello Anita.
    I have had my 5 quart KitchenAid for quite a while, and have always thought how nice it would be to purchase the pasta attachments and learn how to use them. Your video is the very first time in all these years that I've actually seen the attachments used properly. I think that KitchenAid would do a good thing by asking you to become an official spokesperson for their product. I'm just sayin'... 😊
    I hope you're around uploading content for many many moons to come. I always end up with a smile in my heart after watching one of your presentations. I think you've come a long way and really appreciate it.

    • @bestkitchenreviews
      @bestkitchenreviews  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, they definitely stick if not enough flour is used. Now you know for next time. It's best to hang them to dry, right after cutting to avoid the sticking 😀

    If you’ve never made fresh pasta and cooked it immediately, you’re missing out. Like making your own oven steel pizza vs ordering from some chain. Making your own isn’t for the masses, it’s for you and yours..... and once you make your own, you won’t go back to store bought dried boxed pasta again.

    I tried to find it everywhere, but noone and no manuals have an answer. How thick is the dough comming out on the thickest setting? It looks arround 3mm. Why I am asking is basically if its possible to use it for other uses, like pressing pizza dough. (the thinnest would also we fun to know)

    I have a fettucine attachment and there are two little rods that constantly fall out from the bottom. Do you think I have a defective part ? The pasta tends to clump and jam up the machine. it has never worked properly

    I cannot clean the pasta sheet roller. I let it dry 24 hours and there are a white stripes left after cleaning with the brush. I’ve tried also with a tooth brush, but doesn’t work. I’ve used it just to make sheets , all purpose flour and water. Any suggestions? Thank you.

      You can use any good quality stiff nylon paintbrush with coarse bristles. A tough craft store brush is fine.

    • @davegioiosa7577
      @davegioiosa7577 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheryl, I just bought mine and did no know it came with a pasta brush because you can see it. You must remove everything from the box (including the black cardboard support for the attachments) and it was hidden at the bottom of the box to my surprise.
      I would have never found it it I did not watch this video. I bet you yours is there. If it is not, just use a stiff paint brush (small) it will do the same thing.

    Hello, the reviews are great, but it always seems to be that the exposure of your videos is always a little to bright in the highend. The whites have no more definition and detail, please consider returning to the basic exposure triangle and restructuring your exposure. Please reach out with any questions and keep up the great reviews

  • @typeviic1

    mine came out clumped together

    • @tracymayo7954
      @tracymayo7954 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Usually this is because you didn't have enough flour between rolling and cutting. And if you leave your noodles in a pile like shown on this video without coating the strands in flour you can have the same issue. If this isn't the case and you did flour between rolling and cutting and resting - then you overcooked them. When I put the fresh pasta in the water, (well salted) I generally do a quick "toss" with a slotted spoon with fingers, to make sure they are free of each other. Never had a problem!
