It took me way too long to realize that I am a creative and a 9 to 5 is not for me, maybe because I was in survival mode. Now I'm finally ready to use my gift and pursue styling.
Once I started getting compliments all the time and noticed every time I open my closet I see a new outfit I can put together UK this was for me but what really confirmed was how excited I get if someone says there going somewhere and my instant response is always let me see what your wearing lol
That’s why I open a boutique, and selling staples pieces, and when clients come to my shop I show them how to style and put together outfits and they will take all of them😂. I am gifted.
I'm 16 years old and my friends and family always say that I have the best style out of our group. I've always been interested in creative jobs such as being an authour, graphic designer or a stylist, but when I tell people about what I want to be, they always look at me weird thinking, how will she make money ? Its not about the money, I want to be dressed in outfits that make myself feel more confident, I also often think about style and how it works, like having questions about how you find your own style, I've also never wanted to do a 9 to 5. I'm no dolly parton. I know that I'm meant to do something different in life, I just don't know what
I've always had dreams of being in the fashion and entertainment industries since I was a kid, but it never went away like with most people. I've had success with youtube as a small town girl even when everyone doubted me and even laughed at me for trying. I've always known I was destined for more, but I get down on myself and halt my own progress by getting depressed. These past few weeks I've been working on pushing through the self doubt and doing the work to make my dreams come true. To this day I'm still a fashionista and dream of being able to live a life where fashion is at the forefront rather than the background, so I'm putting in the work to make that my reality! I actually just went to the DC stop of Law Roach's book tour and when I tell you that night gave me all the inspiration I needed to keep going! And seeing this video 3 days later is not a coincidence! I am going to keep studying fashion, playing with the clothes in my closet to see just how creative I can be, and really just doing my best to make my dreams come true bc I deserve that! Thank you for this video, it gave me all the confirmation I needed that I absolutely should continue!🙌🏾💗
Yep. Checked every box. Even yesterday, a 20+-something said my outfit was fabulous, and I'm a 50+ lady. Style doesn't see age. Sorry, I'm going to say this...I live in sloppy California where women wear baggy t shirts & shorts, and flip flops. I only wear stuff like that if I'm inside my home. I live in a small city, so I know that every time I go out I'm going to run into people. So, every outing needs a thoughtful, classy yet simple outfit. People DO judge you by your clothing! Make every day count. (PS. I grew up in THE fashion capital of the US- you can guess which one. 🙂)
Omg, I’ve been a stylist since I was 5 lol. I used to go in my mother’s closet which was full of clothes,shoes and boots and I would dress myself and then I would go to her dresser which was full of jewelry and eyewear and things of that nature and I would put the pieces I wanted together and it was so fun. I remember it like it was yesterday. I style clients in my head also (lol). I can almost immediately identify how I want to style people I know with what would look great on their body types. I’m like a fashion problem-solver lol. If I see that a person needs a little help with their style, I begin to style them in my head with what I believe would make them pop to highlight their beauty. Omg, I do this a lot! Lol, it almost just comes natural. But yes, I love styling, I pretty much breathe fashion anyway and would just love to get back to it. I had put it on the back burner due to my 9 to 5 and having a big family but I’m very glad to have come across this video as a reminder of my gift and talent. Thanks you so much for sharing. This was exactly what I needed to watch and listen to in order to sort of get the creative juices flowing again lol. I am definitely going to to download your e-book and will explore the idea of joining your class. Thanks for inspiring me to move forward again in regard to styling. I can feel it bubbling over again (my love for fashion and the need to style). ☺️
