Very cool, Rob. I have Camtasia 2023; I own it and do not look forward to only subscription-based in the future. However, I do understand the need to move to that. Thanks, Rob and Jason. Much appreciated.
I think if you already own it, and as long as you're on the maintenance plan, then you can continue paying the annual maintenance price which is currently lower than what the subscription pricing is. That's the benefit of owning Camtasia before it's switched over to subscription-only. But you do have to have kept up your maintenance plan. Something to look into :-)
@@RobtheMaritimer I think Techsmith said you will be kept on the maintenance for at least 5 years before they force everyone to go to the month to month. That is what they said on facebook.
Number 1 request for me - in cursor properties is to include RECTANGULAR magnification in addition to the circular magnification - which distorts the screen at the edges.
The ONE feature I'd love to see in Camtasia would be the "combine with background" feature that Captivate has. I know it's different because captivate is screenshot-based. But man - making a change to a video that has pans and zooms is a pain to update if you have to cover something up or fix a screenshot or something.
I love Camtasia! If Adobe is what you're used to now, then that's probably what you should stick with... usually the best video editor is the one you're used to :-)
When is motion tracking coming? I know object tracking is on the horizon which is fine for blurring something out, but for example what about the ability to stick text to a wall in a video that has motion? ??
Hello dear teacher I watched almost all your videos about Camtasia and enjoyed them, very excellent and thank you. But there is a technique that some of your colleagues use in editing that I have not seen in any of your videos. Use it. I will give you the TH-cam address of two videos and if possible tell me how to use this technique in editing or make a separate video. Thank you very much (/watch?v=79EvtdC1kmw) Minute 15:5 (/watch?v=AE1Hfy-yw4s&t=2415s) Minutes 2:17 to 2:35
Using Camtasia for over a decade and learned so many things from Jason, a great teacher.
He certainly is!
I thinks success is consistency. 😊

@@RobtheMaritimer Oh, I didn't know that. I will definitely be getting the maintenance plan! I need Audiate anyway. Thank you. 😊 ~ Carol Amato

31:20 Splicing between the green and red arrows keeps me using Camtasia. Drag the arrows and cmd-delete (ripple delete) and your done!
awesome

Replay gang.. 🎉
Thanks for watching :-)

I had camtasia in about 2013/2014. I think it was life subscription, I can’t even find my key. I liked it allot, I use Adobe now.

Good question... I'm not sure that's on the horizon or not.

The quickest thing for you would be to just watch those videos as they'll show you how to use those techniques. Best of luck :-)
@@RobtheMaritimer Sorry! I didn't understand your answer.
