I too forgot how beautiful the animation of Chainsaw Man is 🔥, big fan of the cinematic direction they took with this one. This series loves to lean into the absurd more than I expected myself as well 😂 it’s a great watch
Oh dude, Chainsaw Man is so unique and cool in many different ways. It has very unique characters that you don't usually see in anime (or any form of media really); they're wacky, wild and out of pocket but always with the purpose of exploring what makes them that way. The author of the series, the mangaka Tatsuki Fujimoto, likes exploring base desires on his characters, which we will see with Denji as an individual that has been stripped from any kind of normalcy his whole life with no secure source of food or housing or any basic need that has been in constant survival mode, not even having any kind of positive or caring human interaction ever and whose only emotional anchor throught his life has been a dog-like-chainsaw little devil that is now gone all of a sudden... And even the character archetypes that are more common have a sense of complexity and fullness that you don't usually get. And the story, even with all the fantastical elements, has a strong feel of raw, gritty and real mixed with some nice comedy (some absurd and silly, some dark). One of my favourite shows of all time for sure. Top 5. And I think, and hope, that you will enjoy it. So let's go! :D Oh and don't forget to experience all the different endings each episode has! Some hard work went into them and they're quite good.
I'm loving this show so far! We've been watching the endings as well and they are freaking awesome. We may put them up on youtube down the line but for right now we have them on Patreon meshed into the episode watch because our bandwidths are a bit full right now. Hopefully we're able to get an editor soon! But truly the art work put into them is amazing. So far my favorite one has been ep 3. The music is so good too.

And please do not confuse the case of Denji with Fiend, by the way, fans unofficially call Denji a hybrid and you can also call him, and even in the series itself rumors about people like Denji were mentioned. Are there any other hybrids besides Denja? you will find out in the next episodes. 2) In the Chainsaw Man universe, not only Fiends have unusual eyes, so it’s too early to call Makima a Fiend. Also, the fear of foxes may be associated with the Japanese mythology of kitsune, fox girls seduce men in order to then devour them. 4) An interesting detail: after the head of the fox demon disappeared and we are shown Aki, you can see how he holds his hand, and if you haven’t forgotten, the payment for this summoning was the skin of his hand, a nice detail.
